Great for breakfast, lunch and dinner

Went there couple of times. The food is very fresh, many organic options, all coffees, teas and eggs are organic. The entries are very reasonably priced and there is plenty of seating outside. Omelets are delicious. Definitely a gem!

Been to Bb&p a couple of times. Based on both experiences we felt: A) the place is undeniably cool, great history, started by a socially conscious local entrepreneur ...so have to patronize it B) the food is lousy and place is noisy C) even the coffee and desserts are pedestrian D) They seem to have lots of events that look... A cosy place to read your book, a vbrant place to have an interesting discussion and inviting restuarant to sit down for lunch, This restaurant/bookshop offers spaces for those you want to read, work or talk. They also have events where important subjects are discussed. The food is good and couches are nice and comfy!

Love all the healthy options! Didn't feel guilty about anything on the menu. The neighborhood isn't that great. But this place was worth it! It had a neat book store and lots of art. Had the french toast with eggs and bacon for brunch and it was delicious.

Cannot fault a business that has it's best interests in the community. Please take the time to research what they do and you know you are doing your part by giving them your business. Stumbled upon this venue on a walk up 14th and so glad we walked in! Thought it was a book shop, and it actually is (on... More

Before heading of to see Joe perform at the Howard Theatre, we had Brunch at Busboys & Poets! It was amazing. The atmosphere was electric and food was fantastic!

WHY?! Why did it take so long for us to finally come to DC and eat at this place???? Busy boys and Poets is a Peace-cultured slap in the face establishment. It's a restaurant in a theater in a book stores and there is something for everyone here. Shrimp and Grits...that's all you need to know. Time and space stopped... More

Fresh food, something for everyone on the menu. Lots of vegan options. Cozy even though it's big.. Lots of sofas and a bookstore inside. Would like to come back and try their coffee and desserts

We wanted to attend the Saturday Evening mass at the Basilica and our concierge suggested this restaurant which is walking distance from the church. He lives in the neighbor hood. The name of the restaurant come from Langston Hughes who was both a poet and a busboy. We ate outside on a beautiful evening and had hamburgers which were excellent.... More
