I like the comfy chairs and the atmosphere, we had a great breakfast there, but it's a bit overpriced.

If your looking for a great girls night this is it! The meals are flavorful updated versions of soulful comfort food. Atmosphere is that creative eclectic youthful vibe. Next time we plan on making it early so we can get in and hear the spoken word and poetry night. But beware: parking is a nightmare!!!!

I had wanted to go to Busboys and Poets for some time and whilst I sadly missed open mic which occurs at 9pm most nights, the food and cocktails did not disappoint. Our server may well have had an attitude which wasn't great but the atmosphere made up for her utter disinterest in serving us. Silly in a culture where... More

It was very busy, but we were seated promptly. The service was friendly and reasonable. The entrees (brunch menu) were yummy! The white chocolate bread pudding was excellent and served hot. The coconut ice cream from Taharka Brothers was delicious! The chai latte was offered with a variety of milk options; the lemonade was fresh and enjoyable. The bathrooms were... More

Went on a Sunday and was very busy, but we were seated immediately. Our waitress was pleasant and provided great service. I had sweet potato pancakes and my wife had Mekhleme. Both were very good. The bread pudding and ice cream were on par with any Michelin Star restaurant. We were comfortable and could converse without having to shout. Will... More

A total of 12 of our party went for breakfast. On the main level it looked bleak as to even if some of us could get a table, BUT, we were pleasantly surprised that we were all immediately seated together upstairs. Excellent location and atmosphere, super friendly staff, delicious foods, and great prices. A must go to place in DC!

I am a poet and came here for an open mike night. This place is VERY VERY BUSY & CROWDED!!! The crowd seemed to be in their 20's + 30's. The food is EXCELLENT!!! Well prepared, well presented & finally well devoured!!! A very "happening" spot (Inside + Directly Outside)!!!
