memorable Mardi Gras!

i was invited as part of a business group of 9 so won't be able to comment on price. Althought our host mentioned this was very good value for money. They has set us up in the back room. I had the boudin fired balls as apetizer. it was good... but did not really tasted like blood pudding. The... read more

A perfect Sazerac, followed by perfect turtle soup, then drum fish entrée that was superb, and a light chocolate meringue for dessert. Two cavils--at my request we were seated at a table where the piped music was less annoying but why have it at all. Second, nice try at the muffaletta but it is not Central Grocery quality. you need... More

Two of my friends and I visited Acadiana this past weekend for girl talk and Sunday brunch. None of us had ever visited this restaurant but the menu looked great and the live jazz band sounded great as well so we figured we'd try it. Let me just say that we were all in love with the restaurant by the... More

I had dinner during restaurant week. The restaurant was busy but I had a reservation and got seated immediately. The restaurant week menu had plenty of choices. The gumbo was outstanding. The blackened fish was good but slightly overcooked. Bread pudding for dessert was very good. My server was friendly and efficient. I'd return

Used to love this restaurant but the snooty help would not offer restaurant week lunch at 2:35pm & said only went until 2:30. Restaurant was empty on 1/27/16. Used to go with all our out of town guests. Will not be returning.

We came for brunch unannounced (party of 8), but they were able to sit us on the mezzanine behind the bar. This was the second visit for me, but the first for others. On my first visit, the server kept our glasses full at all times and the service of the three courses was fast and courteous. This time, however,... More

My wife and I are from Louisiana and we really had doubts about this place. Man was we wrong. The Turtle soup with sherry laced into it was super and the veal was awesome! The service was very prompt and cordial.

From start to finish I enjoyed my meal here very much and the service was top-notch. I ordered the sheapshead fish special and it was very good. The cream cheese and pepper jelly with the biscuits to start were very good as well. It really set the tone for a great meal. My husband ordered the duck w/ pepper jelly... More

There were 5 of us at dinner last evening and the place was packed but we did not have to wait for our table which was a good start on a Saturday night in DC. The service was swift and the waiter and his helpers were efficient. The waiter took the drink order right-away and we had two young ladies... More

I expected more, given the previous reviews. The main course was mediocre, however the gumbo was good and the staff excellent.
