"What a find!! Visiting DC for a week, and was lucky to find this gem 2 blocks from our hotel, a blessing for my wife (who has trouble walking long distances) and me. My wife is a bourbon Manhattan drinker, but never had tasted a Sazerac. Between the wonderful waitperson, Amber, and I, we convinced her to try one. After... More

Enjoyed the ample outdoor seating, house seltzer, corn and crab soup, oysters on the half shell. Service was a little sloppy. However we were there an hour before closing on a Sunday evening

If you are visiting a conference, this is very conveniently located. We reserved a separate room for a group of people and the food and service.

Think cajun food can't be gourmet, well don't tell them that at Acadiana. Convenient to the Convention Center, museums and more, this lovely restaurant is willing to work with you. A lot of cajun food has pork which I can't eat but the chef was very amenable to cooking my vegetables without it. The catfish was excellent, crispy and very... More

In town for a convention, and this was right near the convention center. No tables inside, but lots of them outside. Got seated immediately without a reservation. The sweet corn and blue crab soup was very good, and ordered the grilled swordfish which was good too. The swordfish serving was a bit small. For dessert, had the creme brule which... More

We went to the Acadiana with another couple during our recent trip to Washington DC. Having never had cajun before, I can't really comment on the quality versus other cujun food, but I thought it was delicious. I got the barbecue shrimp, it looked small, but it was very filling!

We were using Tripadvisor to recommend a good restaurant close by us. Very friendly staff. Ordered the Rib-eye medium rear. Got it well done, but was re-done and ok. Ordered a side order. Asked for it after 30 minutes, and were told they don't have it. Ok, but not anything else.

Met a friend on a Thursday and we were able to be seated without a reservation. Nice selection on the menu, although we only had appetizers. Blue crab and corn chowder was tasty and not too spicy. Soup was brought to table in a small, lidded metal pitcher and poured into bowl by server. My friend had the gumbo and... More

I am still dreaming about my meal: slow-roasted, bone-in duck breast over greens and creamy grits. YUM! I have never had a larger or more succulent duck breast that wasn't confitted. I couldn't even finish it. The service was excellent as was the wine. I can't wait to return.
