Acadiana is a Cajun/creole restaurant near the Washington DC Convention center. Atmosphere is subdued white table cloth. Our service was leisurely, with some delays, particularly for bar service and initial ordering. The drink menu has an outstanding selection of bourbons. We enjoyed well poured Sazerac cocktails. An appetizer of three fried pies, meat, crawfish, and vegetable with buttermilk dipping sauce... More

We were attending a conference at the convention center so the area was very busy and we were not expecting much from the area restaurants. Boy were we wrong - Full menu at the bar, the best martini I've had and the food was to die for! The staff is friendly and very accommodating, they gave us great suggestions about... More

Popular restaurant near the Convention Center. Opens at 5:30 pm. Has outdoor seating (both under awning and not) as well as indoor seating. Upscale Cajun menu. Good service. Food is flavorful (had the seasonal grouper special). Prices are not cheap ($25-$50 for entree; side orders are $6 and served in small heating bowls). Dinner ended up being $40-$50 per person... Had a great meal and some fine wine. Waiter had answers to all our questions regarding food and wine. Would recommend this place. Not cheap but worth the prices.

Thought we could get some N'Orleans shrimp creole, etoufet or grits but, no.Shrimp Etoufet is only served at lunch (bummer). Very busy and large restaurant. Nice location near the Conference Center. Good food, just not what we thought. They did have fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and I had catfish, which was good. Thought the bread pudding would have... More

I stumbled upon this place by accident while looking for a place for dinner nearby my hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is the food amazing but they have an awesome happy hour on Sunday nights for 4-9pm. They have an assortment of drinks, beer and wine available for happy hour but what caught my attention was the small... More

Service was ok and this is obviously a popular restaurant. However, the gumbo does not rise anywhere near the Louisiana level - this was merely ok. Granted I've never had bad gumbo in New Orleans, but the worst there is better than this. I also had their trio of pies (deep fried) which were ok. The quite nice crust overwhelmed... More

I usually don't indulge in biscuits, or grits or bread pudding, but this was a totally delicious splurge. Caught in DC snow, walked from convention center around the corner to Acadiana. Beautiful spot, welcoming staff and delicious food on a cold winters night.

Food was great. Make sure you have the biscuits and pepper jelly. However, we had a table of 10 and the service was very slow.
