Year after year after year

Our group keeps going back every June when we do our trade association legislative fly-in. While it's still popular and the food is good, it seemed to have lost a step this year especially in the service area. I'm sure we'll try again but we didn't do back to back nights like before.

Ate there last night. The service was superb. I had the blacken fish served on creamy spinach(white sauce) AND potatoes. Of course we started off with their tasteful warm muffins with a mix of cream cheese and orange marmalade. Then the turtle soup and grand salad. My friend decided not to have the shrimp and grits again but had the... More

It was about 2 pm when we got there. They had life music, the menu was limited to one page brunch menu and the regular menu was not available. It was $30 per person flat fee to chose an appetizer, an entree and a desert. The food was average and I wouldn't consider going there again. When ordering your appetizer,... More

Southern New Orleans cuisine at it's best. We celebrated my brother's graduation here. We were able to get one of their smaller private rooms just enough for 12 guests. The most exceptional customer service and our waitress was the best! Serving the needs of 10 people is not an easy thing. The food was superb! They even personalized the menu... More

We stayed at the Marriott Marquis to attend a Conference. We decided to visit this place on a Sunday with no reservation, and were not able to have lunch there, as there was no table for 5, and a baby. The lady who stated this, did not mention whether we could wait, so we left. Nevertheless, we decided to give... More

I had lunch with a business colleague at this restaurant and it was a very good choice for that. The service was very good but not intrusive or rushed. The restaurant was full but the noise level was low enough to allow a real conversation. The deviled eggs were excellent as were the biscuits that are served to every table.... More

I had dinner at Acadiana with a work colleague, as it was within walking distance from the Marriott Marquis. We did not have a reservation so I was not expecting much, but it turned out much better than I thought. I recommend it if you are in the area. I had the "grillades and grits" - veal medallions with jalapeno... More

The Acadiana touts itself as the only Louisiana restaurant in Washington DC at the “heightened level of elegance”. In contrast to the older historic bars and restaurants, the interior is of modern, Avant guard design. The restaurant is large and fortunately, because it was Friday night, we made reservations and were seated immediately in a small intimate booth next to... More

Restaurant close to the Washington DC Convention Center--take a short walk and enjoy inside or outside dining. Wait staff attentive to your needs. Best crab cakes I have had in the area!
