Upscale Rendition of Cajun

I had dinner at Acadiana with a work colleague, as it was within walking distance from the Marriott Marquis. We did not have a reservation so I was not expecting much, but it turned out much better than I thought. I recommend it if you are in the area. I had the "grillades and grits" - veal... read more

The Acadiana touts itself as the only Louisiana restaurant in Washington DC at the “heightened level of elegance”. In contrast to the older historic bars and restaurants, the interior is of modern, Avant guard design. The restaurant is large and fortunately, because it was Friday night, we made reservations and were seated immediately in a small intimate booth next to... More

Restaurant close to the Washington DC Convention Center--take a short walk and enjoy inside or outside dining. Wait staff attentive to your needs. Best crab cakes I have had in the area!

The food here is very good, but the service is even better. They seem very gooid at a quick lunch or accomodating a long business lunch. The food, a bit canjun, is a nice departure from standard salads and sandwiches.

This place is awesome. Right across the street from the convention center, the food is almost as you would get in the quarter. The chicken and andouille gumbo is top notch and the Po Boys are good as well. Sat at the bar for lunch two days straight and the atmosphere was friendly and service solid.

Acadiana was very nice. Large private room was perfect for a group dinner. Service excellent. Food was good. Cajun is not really my thing, but still enjoyed a great shrimp and grits dinner. Desert (bread pudding) was a twist on what you find everywhere else. OK, but I would have preferred they stick with the classic recipe

Food and service were excellent - good job Acadiana. Our waitress was wonderful, very attentive and responsive. She clearly knew the menu and was able to answer all of our questions. Also knew the drink menu exceptionally well. For a nice, upscale meal, you won't go wrong here.

We ate Jambalaya, Louisiana Seafood Gumbo, and Catfish at Acadiana during two lunches on a recent visit to Washington DC. All of the dishes were excellent. The catfish was sliced thin and served in a basket and the jambalaya had a bit of a twist as well. We found fried green tomatoes to be an interesting and enjoyable treat and... More

We were there for a business dinner and had about 17 people in our party. We were seated at 2 tables. The food was amazing. I had the duck breast with collard greens and dirty rice with a fabulous pan sauce. The bread served were wonderful biscuits with butter and Pepper Jelly. Yum! At my table we all chose different...
