outstanding trendy peruvian spot in Adams Morgan

Peruvian food is one of my favorites, and this place does not fail to disappoint. A bit higher priced than some of the hole in the wall places for Peruvian that I am used to, since it's clearly meant for a bit of a different demographic. All the food is delicious with beautiful preparation.

All I have to say is that most of the times I eat here - employees from the Consulate of Peru are eating there! You should too. Try the Lomo Saltaldo!

My boyfriend and I went for dinner last Saturday. Service was good and we were seated immediately. The food was above average but nothing to rave about really. The pisco cocktails were good but not remarkable. I do have to say their green sauce and bread was pretty awesome.. I smeared the sauce on my food too! Aside from that,... More

I might be a bit biased given that I'm Peruvian, but I was not impressed by the food here. Maybe my expectations were too high. I liked the rustic feel of the restaurant and the service was good, but I don't think I will be going back.

OK, we were heading to our favorite restaurant and they had no power so we went to Las Canteras. I'm more of a conservative when it comes to food and I only found 1 thing on the menu I would like. The meal was good, the service was POOR. I asked for a refill on my drink mid meal and... More

My husband wanted ceviche and he was not disappointed. He had two types. I had the Lomo Saltado and it was very similar to the dish I had in Lima. We made our reservations at the last minute so was told that it would be 9:45pm. We were told to call around 9:00pm and perhaps they could get us in... More

We totally enjoyed our dinner at Las Canteras. The decor is very Spanish with the muted oranges and dark furniture. From the time we walked in the door we felt welcomed and comfortable. We did not have reservations but were there early for dinner (about 5:50 pm) and we had this fabulous table for two right in the front window.... More

I was raise and born in lima Peru so I'm really picky when it comes to peruvian restaurants in the US. I 10000% recommend this restaurant if you are looking to eat some authentic peruvian food. I more than love it and if I live in DC I will be going every week.

The Ceviche Classico was terrific, every bit as good as ceviche I enjoyed in Peru a few months ago. Chocolate quinoa cake for dessert was amazing, served warm, about 2/3 of a cup in volume, slightly bitter very dark dark chocolate, a hint of quinoa texture, and wonderful. Our server was attentive and very polite - terrific. Interior of restaurant... More

The Ceviche Classico is perfect and delicious. It's so interesting. It has chunks of white fish, red onion, and the perfect amount of acid. Also in the bowl is some sweet potato and corn kernels. It all goes together exceptionally well. The lomo saltado is also really good; I'd definitely order it again. The seco de carne is good too,... More
