Very Good...but inconsistent

This is really a four and half star place - I just could not bring myself to say five starts when I think of some of my favorite restaurants.I eat out a lot, for fun or as part of picking people's brains for my service Options Income Blueprint, my visit to Brasserie Beck last week was for fun - my... Outstanding service, and a delightful menu. It was so good, we went back 2 days later. Unique menu items and although it claims to be Belgian, I would say it was more broadly European. Refreshingly different.

When living in DC, I used to frequent Brasserie Beck quite often. The restaurant was new, the food was fresh and the beer selection--well--what can I say? I recently returned after a few years and found the restaurant mostly as how I left it. It seems they lost their infamous beer sommelier, but the focus on beer was still apparent.... More

Brasserie Beck has, in my opinion, the best mussels in DC. I haven't had a bad meal here if you don't want to try their mussels. The staff is very friendly. They have a beautiful patio to sit out on in DC's beautiful spring weather.

We routine use Brasserie Beck for team lunches. The veal is good and the burger fans in the team seem happy with their choices. I will definitely be returning because it's convenient and good, but unlikely to make a special trip.

Six of us dined here as a business meal and all of us thought it was one of the best meals we ever had. Two had muscles in white wine and raved about them, one saying I could have this meal again tomorrow. The fries were hot and served with 3 great sauces. The Brussel sprouts were the best I... More

The wine selection is top notch. The place has a very romantic feel. If you sit in the bar area, it could also be a good place to catch a drink. The service was amazing. Everyone was very attentive and we really enjoyed our night. It was a little expensive but the food was good.

During restaurant week, my wife and I went to Brasserie Beck and totally enjoyed ourselves. Unlike some restaurants who "size" the portions during this week, Beck gave us what we would consider the "normal" menu portion. We both had the mussels and steak and frites. The plating of the mussels was great and quite easy to eat. The tenderloin was... More

This used to be a "go-to" place for an intimate dinner with my partner; a business lunch or business dinner. However, my last two times the food was a real disappointment. First, the brussle sprouts were drenched in oil as a result the taste of the oil overwhelmed the usual complex, flavor of the brussle sprout prosciutto flavor. Second, the... More
