Very Nice Dining Experience

This was an enjoyable meal. Not one of the best ever, but pleasantly pleased. The mussels were amazing and the vegetarian pasta dish was pretty good. The only area that didn't live up to the bill was the service. A bit inattentive, but overall this place is deserving of another visit. By the way... read more

We had a dinner here on a recent business trip to DC. The food was unparalleled, service was extraordinary and they had an unbelievable beer list! very impressed! I had the scallops and it was all I could do not to lick the plate! will definitely return!

We have been in DC for 6 days and by far had the worst meal of the entire trip. The $28 Amish chicken was mediocre at best. The potatoes were the best part of the meal. The $30 seafood special with risotto rice had no flavor and was overcooked. The atmosphere was pretentious and the manager unwilling to speak to... More

Good selection of food for a late evening bite to eat. We didn't have a booking but that was no problem - we were promptly seated at an outside table. Good service. Fresh and delicious food.

I had the menu they were offering for Restaurant Week. Had the Roasted Beet Salad with Almonds, Golden Raisins, Baby Lettuces, and Goat Cheese Yogurt. It was perfect for a hot DC summer night. I also chose the Grilled Petite Angus Sliced Steak, Belgian Frites, Watercress, Bordelaise & Béarnaise Sauces. The meat was tender and cooked to perfection and the... More

I know that Brasserie Beck has many menu items other than mussels and frites, but I simply cannot get away from this staple. I have eaten moules all over Europe, and I have nowhere found a restaurant that does them better than Brasserie beck. Pair this dish with a Belgian beer, and you are halfway to heaven. My adult son... More

This restaurant is consistently great and this restaurant week offering was perfect. The greeting as you walk in sets the stage for the total package: impeccable service and fantastically prepared food. The server and support were on the money. The steak and frites were deliciously prepared. The mussels were delicious as well as the desserts: cream brule and chocolate cake...didn't... More

With an extensive beer offering (more than 300), you'll easily find something to go with the charcuterie and cheese board or tasty mussels or the fluffy omelettes they serve for brunch. You can find a romantic nook, a separate room for a family get together or join the lively bar area. It's truly authentic Belgium fare. Great downtown destination.

Surly slow service which was disjointed between servers and we think we were overlooked for a while, didn't get bread, waited a while for our food and then bread came with main course. Oversight of our large bottle of sparkling water which we had to ask for twice. Menu is Belgian American inspired and Food when it arrived was tasty... More

We went here for lunch on a hot day, and so stayed inside. We were initially seated right next to the kitchen door, despite having multiple other tables available (eventually we switched ourselves). Service was adequate but diffident. The food was also average. The onion soup was pretty good, but the beef carbonnade was a bit heavy and somewhat tasteless.... More
