Had a nice lunch at Beck in Oct. I had their mussels wiht mushrooms and bacon. This is a bacon fiends delight, Lots of bacon and mushrooms in a delicious broth. Mussels were good too! If I lived in DC I'd definitely be a regular!

We called to make a reservation well ahead of time and had no problem securing a table at a 8:30. We arrived at 8:15 and were told the table would be ready shortly. No problem, we'll have a drink at the bar. Two drinks later, around 9:00 I asked where we were on the list and was told it would... More

Brasserie Beck is a large restaurant with great atmosphere. We did not have a booking (on a busy Friday evening) but were made to feel welcome and promptly shown to a table. The menu offered plenty of choice and the food was excellent. Service was outstanding and our waiter offered helpful advice on both food and wine. The pumpkin cheesecake... More

Don't get fooled by the the exteriors. The interiors are much better than what you think, passing it on a grey fall day. Even a bit cool:) Loved the mussels and the service! Can absolutely recommend this place

Ate here on the last night of our holiday in the USA. Large brasserie but with lots of atmosphere. Good menu and the food was excellent. Very good efficient and attentive service (but not over the top). One of our more expensive meals in the USA but definitely one of the best two in the three weeks we were there.

Ha a lovely dinner here with my business partners. I particularly like the shrimp and grits appetizer and chocolate dessert.

I would love to be considered a foodie, not a gourmand, but when something silly happens like It did at Brasserie Beck, it's hard for me to believe you'll trust my judgment. In addition, I need your advice on what to do. Read on, laugh a bit and then tell me the best course of action to take in the... More

Started off with being seated in a section of the restaurant that was stifling. When I asked to be moved, the hostess was very understanding and we were moved immediately. We did get a better table, but it took a long time to for the waiter to greet us and get us get drinks. Overall the service was a bit... More

So many great choices! The mussels were the best! Definitely make this a stop on your trip! Also try their version of the Moscow Mule.

The mussels were good and quite plentiful. The shrimp cocktail - well, the shrimp were probably defrosted just hours before. But the cocktail sauce was first rate. The biggest problem is the noise factor. Conversation is very difficult. It is LOUD!
