Always fresh, the dozen littlenecks were nice and briny, accompanied by two sauces. Large orders of mussels come with fries, served with three sauces. While my family had the classic wine & garlic, I had mine with veal bolognese. I was skeptical but decided to take the plunge and was glad I did.

The beer is good but that's about it. Service was very inattentive and extremely slow, even by Belgian standards. We prefer a leisurely meal but you should not have to wait an hour for an entree. The food then turned up lukewarm and nothing exciting at all.

I had dinner here on Tuesday night - Even at 8:00, the restaurant was still packed. We ate out on the patio, and had a server who would disappear for 10-15 minutes at a time. It took forever for him just to offer us a cocktail. After we had been sitting there for over 30 minutes, another server brought us... More

I really enjoyed my meal at Brasserie Beck on their large patio. The weather was perfect to sit outside but each table did have an umbrella that would be useful on very sunny days. The mussels were delicious and the full size will work well as a shared appetizer (we split it 3 ways). I think they may have initially... More

Over all, Brasserie Beck was a great stop to celebrate a nice evening out with the wife. The food is a Belgian/French fusion and much of the menu focuses on the variety of speciality beers. We started the meal with a crispy pork terrine which was FANTASTIC. Next, I ordered a steak and frites with bernaise sauce, and my wife... More

I have gone to Brasserie Beck every since it opened and have come on business and with my family. This weekend, I went with my wife to celebrate my return from a long business trip. BB has recently introduced their summer menu and we sampled two of those. The shrimp ravioli and beet salad were fantastic. The nightly specials (corn... More

There were eight of us for dinner, and the restaurant accommodated us outside, which is what we wanted. We sampled the drinks, appetizers, main courses and side dishes, and everyone agreed the food was terrific. The outdoor area has big, wide umbrellas, which made eating outside on a warm Washington night quite enjoyable. My wife grew up in Brussels and... More

We were treated with great service and delicious food. We had made a reservation, and everyone in our party had a wonderful dinner. Very large and interesting beer selection.

Have eaten at the bar, in the restaurant and outside and on every visit, everything has been terrific from the time you are greeting to the time you leave. The food has always been on point and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The Belgian beers, mussels, oysters, fries, beef stew, and even the chicken have been outstanding!... More

We were delighted with this find, too bad we don't live nearby. Great.....everything. Wide selection of beers, which we indulged in. Their wine cellar looked extensive but we stayed with beer which complimented our meal. We liked so many starters that we ordered 3 for our meal to share. Charcuterie board, mussels with pomme frites and raw clams and oysters... More
