Tasty Asian Fusion next to Newseum

We were going to Newseum and had read about the Source in Travel & Leisure. I was just in Asia so thought it to be perfect for brunch. We got there early so we sat at communal table downstairs. Food was mostly delicious. The only problem was food came out too fast!

Had lunch at The Source before touring the National Gallery nearby. We are not frequent Asian foodies, but this was very good. The service was excellent and all of the food offerings were as well. Attractive space, attentive service and perfectly prepared food is a great combination! I recommend it and hope to return! Don't miss the chocolate chip cookies... More

For Asian fusion cuisine, The Source isn't terrible. Went for the brunch dim sum tasting menu, which is about $35 for 5 tastes or $45 for 8 tastes (give or take a dollar or two). Some of the plates are interesting and innovative, others not so much. At the end of the day... the food just wasn't worth the price... More

We ate here for lunch in between many hours at the Newseum. It, like many restaurants in DC, is not inexpensive. On vacation we often choose to make lunch the main meal of the day and go lighter for dinner. This was a good place to have a main meal. The space is lovely, the food was very good and... More

We visited the restaurant with a party of 9. The table was ready as soon as we arrived. The appetizers were very tasty. We tried the artic char, suckling pig, and dumplings. Dumplings were typical chinese restaraunt quality but the char and pig were so wonderful it made up for it. All our entrees were divine but standouts were the... More

I stumbled upon this on my way to the Newseum, and thought I'd give it a shot. I was early for lunch, so there were only a few other diners when I arrived, though the place filled up quickly with quite a few men in suits. Clearly a place to be seen for a business lunch. My waiter was pleasant,... More

We were delighted to be able to slip in to this DC favorite on short notice. The staff were welcoming and delightful. They made wonderful recommendations and we had superb food. While the price was higher than average… the food made the price seem like a bargain. I will return on EVERY trip to DC!

We walked through the downstairs, packed with trendy your people, to get to the upstairs dining room, which was also quite crowded, but primarily with conferees. Our appetizers were outstanding, mine was a fish dish with Indian spices. Our mains were also exceptional. My wife said her rack of lamb was one of the best she'd ever had. My scallops... More

This review is long overdue. I went there for dinner on December 29.2014 to celebrate my wife's birthday. The staff made sure to pamper us. A nice table to personalized menu wishing happy birthday. We had Tuna Tartare , Scallop and Shrimp Sui Mai , Crspy Suckling Pig / Entrees - Lacquered Chinese Duckling , Colorado Lamb Chops , Fried... More
