Good food.

Went for lunch while visiting DC. The setting was nicely designed and bright with lots of wall windows. While the service was good I had to slow the meal down. The menu is dim sum style and we wanted to finish each serving before getting another. I asked the waiter to slow it down when they... read more

We had Saturday Dim Sum brunch here. We were seated promptly on arrival just before our reservation time and greeted by the manager who was nice but overbearing. Our waiter came 5 minutes later and introduced himself. We went with the 8 course menu for $48. We had the following Shanghai Noodles - This was my least favorite item. The... More

Enjoyed a fantastic business dinner at The Source last week. The ambience was very modern and sleek and the food was outstanding. Our server provided some great recommendations that did not disappoint (other than the roasted beets which I felt were the low point of an otherwise stellar meal). We enjoyed a number of shared small plates and when favorite... More

My fiancé and I decided to visit for a brunch while wandering around the Newseum. I had a 5 course menu and he had 8 courses. It was so delicious that we couldn't stop ordering more and more :) The atmosphere is nice and everyone of the staff is so welcoming and friendly. So we definitely recommend this place to... More

This is our second New Year's Eve at The Source. The cocktails were renamed but are still excellent: Marilyn turned into Hello Kitty ... Why ? Totally unnecessary. The noise level is still too high, even for a small table of three persons. The 7-course sampling menu was meat-heavy, as much as I love beef, one cannot eat that much... More

Overall we left happy. We started off slow with a below average combination dim sum plate - dry and pretty bland. But the scallop taster was excellent, especially the fritters, and the salmon was great. The rice, too, was dry, and we just didn't eat it. Lastly, the dessert - chocolate, chocolate, chocolate - was also delicious; though we had... More

The wife and I toured the Newseum (6th and Pen, DC) and decided to treat ourselves to a special lunch at Wolfgang Puck The Source restaurant next door. My wife had the three coarse prix fixe lunch with the Spicy Salmon roll, "Hong Kong Style" Icelandic Cod, and a great 15 Layer Carrot Cake. I have the Spicy Tuna Tartare... More

I had a group for dinner at the Source this past week. Very hip , lively atmosphere. Wolfgang Puck restaurant. We had the staff bring a number of items to share as a starter. The biggest hits were the dim sum and tuna tar tar. Winners for sure. I had the wok fried rock fish. I really enjoyed and easy... More

I have been travelling to DC for some 7 years and have often struggled to find what I would call 'really good food'. There are a million restaurants and most of them churn out somewhat edible fare but rarely anything to get too excited about. I booked The Source for a Birthday dinner for my wife and without huge expectation... More
