We arrived early so we just had to have cocktails at the bar. You must do this because they have some great original ideas. We had saved ourselves by skipping breakfast and only having a light early lunch so that we arrived hungry. This meant that we had room for the six course tasting menu ( or at least we... More

Having lunch in Rasika, DC was like being in distant India! We love this place and the exotic decor and ambiance is just a reason to come back very soon. Not to mention, the service and food was so just too 'yummy'

You have to try this restaurant. Service was very good (server was attentive without being too interruptive), atmosphere was very nice (upscale and somewhat trendy but not arrogant), and most importantly the food was simply amazing (delivered timely, well cooked, excellent presentation). This was our favorite restaurant during our 6-day visit to DC. Appetizers: Radga Patty (very good), Palak Chaat... More

I have been to Rasika a half dozen times over the past few years. I am impressed by the fact that they continue to provide outstanding food and service despite becoming one of the IT restaurants in DC. Ate there last night and despite the mob inside we got great food and service that made us feel like we were... More

We (two people) had dinner on a Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm and the place was packed although service was always professional and we never felt rushed. We ordered papadum which, while more like chips than the wafers we're used to, were airy and quite deicious. The range of sauces that accompanied the papadum were all complex. We had the... More

I will make this brief: If you don't eat here, you are missing one of the best restaurants in the United States. Even if you don't love Indian food, you'll love Rasika. The biggest question you'll have after eataing there is, "If I just ate Indian food, what is all that other stuff I've eaten that's called Indian food."

Well, needless to say, the reviews here force you to try it once. I am an indian based in Europe. Was in DC for vacation and wanted to have an Indian meal, for nostalgia sake; and also for the reputation of Indian resto in US. The overall service was good. Got a table without reservation. The person attending to me... More

Fantastic. My better-half and I went there for her birthday recently and it was an excellent meal. Everything from the crispy spinach appetizer to the goat cheese kulcha to the golab jamun they presented to us (with a birthday candle) was just lovely and so flavourful and delicious. A decent single malt selection too, though there could be more. In... More

What a fantastic meal. Some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. We had Palak Chaat- incredible. For entrees we had Murgh Massalam and Chicken Green Masala. Delicious. Dessert was outstanding as well. Service was great as well. A fantastic and memorable meal!!! Not sure how you could leave hungry? I was stuffed. :-):-)

Loved it! Met there for my sister's birthday dinner. The service was excellent. The food was served quickly, fresh and hot. I had a hard time choosing my meal since everything sounded so great. I ended up trying the filet of red snapper covered in a fantastic sauce topped with quail eggs. I also had the eggplant vegetarian dish....delicious! Restaurant... More
