Dinner a few nights ago with friends. I had the shrimp Po Boy, hush puppies and a few oysters. We sat outside and had a great time. Service was efficient and the food was great. The hush puppies were not too heavy and the oysters were delicious. My Po Boy was stuffed with shrimp and the bread was great. I... More

Went here on a date and did not regret it. The outdoor seating is perfect on a cool evening and the ambiance can't be beat. We had a dozen west coast oysters with two shooters and they were heavenly. We had been craving good oysters all week and this really hit the spot. For an entree I had the vegetarian... More

We order chilled cocktail shrimps (lovely) and a delicious spanish sauce swordfish. Fish is absolutely fresh. You won't find any dessert but the place is worth for all other plates.

Hank's has a wide selection of oysters with good accompanying brews and wines. It is located in a nice part of DC. The restaurant may be crowded, but I've always fond space at the bar. If you are in Washington and want a taste of good fresh seafood, this is a good choice.

I truly love scallops and understand that they are not easy to make. But must I pay more than $25 to get 4 scallops. It seems at Hank's Oyster Bar, each scallop costs at least $5. So when you order the scallops, gently ask how many you are getting for the dinner price. And just to be a savvy customer... More

They had a good selection of oysters. Their mixed cocktails were unique and delicious. They have a happy hour that ends at 1900. The waitress was fun and helpful as well.

We spent 90 dollars on two seafood meals and 2 beers. It was delicious but I would classify this as a three Dollar sign restaurant. I would do it again. Also, this is not really a great place to take kids.

I came here for late-night oyster happy hour (10 PM to closing) and loved it! Each east cost oyster is only $1 and you can choose from the available fresh selection. At my time of visit, the choices were Blue Point, Sweet Jesus, and something else (I forgot the third one because I liked the other two the best). I... More

We called ahead and the hostess put our name on the wait list so when we arrived there was no wait. The food was great! I had the lemon fried olive appetizer (you have to try it!) and the fried oysters plate with french fries and cole slaw. My husband had a Caesar salad and the swordfish. Everything was fresh... More
