Something new at Central:brunch. For $25 pp you get a choice of 3 items - appetizer, entree and a dessert. Drinks are extra. The brunch menu is good, but doesn't allow ordering from Central's other menu (with delicious charcuterie, wonderful chicken and outstanding burgers of all kinds.). One of our party hit the trifecta: apple crepes, eggs benedict and chocolate... More

Dinner at Central Michel Richard was the star meal of our recent trip to DC. Every bite from the hot bread and butter to the decadent dessert was scrumptious. French Onion Soup was as it should be - rich meaty broth, gooey cheese, delicious. Although the Bacon and Onion Tart didn't look like much, it was full of flavor. Mains... More

A very impressive high end restaurant in Washington, DC on Capitol Hill. We enjoyed cheese puffs to start, which were complimentary and very tasty. A nice Bordeaux was ordered and followed by another. The four of us enjoyed rib eye steak with fries and salad, salmon with miso and eggplant, as well as a few appetizers and dessert. The staff... Though booked solid they invited us to come eat at the bar. Delicious Albariño and Twenty Bench Cabernet. Wonderful crazy good lobster burgers and those amazing scallops. The first rate crunchy crust and airy French baguette and butter are impossible to resist. Great service too.

The food was fine, the service rushed ( we received the salads before the drinks), and the place was noisy. The atmosphere was anything but cozy. I would definitely take a pass.

Had another business lunch at Central. After having the signature fried chicken last time (very good) I went with the lobster burger. It was good--but somehow left me hungry. The portions and the amount of lobster were fine--just with a burger you might expect more substance.

I went to Central having read the mixed reviews but just couldn't believe that Michel Richard would allow quality to suffer in such a prominent location. So, here is another mixed review. The frisée salad was everything you could want: cool crisp frisée lettuce, warm salty pancetta bits, and a perfectly poached egg that provided a nice silky addition to... More

Being a southern guy, I like meat..and found a great burger! Foodies will appreciate his creative menu. Beautiful surroundings and hip for dining and conversation. Very lively crowd. And, did I say French? It was quite an adventure understanding our waiter!

Just returned from dinner at Central Michel Richard. Based on reviews I had read here and elsewhere I expected a wonderful dinner. We had the acclaimed soft shelled crab. The tempura crab was nicely done but served over what seemed to be bland guacamole. I had the goat cheese cesear salad as my entree. The plate was beautiful but was... More

Felt lucky to get a reservation for a Saturday night. It's a busy place where everyone hustles. Great open kitchen and it's fun watching them at work. High energy place so not best for a quiet conversation. Fried chicken was delicious as was our chocolate dessert. Portions are very generous.
