Nice atmosphere

Open & airy - enclosed outside space with lots of light. Service was good - regular & unobtrusive. I liked the queso, crispy chips, and avocado slices in the migas - wasn't really into the very-cooked meat curdles. Maybe it's because I'm a product of Austin Tex-Mex.

Great American Breakfast. Am used to the excellent fare of the tavern in liverpool so to eat the genuine article in US was great. Very busy so only bar seating at 9.30 on Sunday am. Has browns were awesome. A must. Is also good as evening bar. they benefitted from our custom that week.

I went here for brunch on a Saturday with my boyfriend. The food was mediocre at best. The food tasted like it was made with low quality ingredients. Skip this place, as there better brunch places out there. Also, it's pretty loud and the tables are really close together so you end up hearing every one else's conversation.

I at here twice in two days (brunch and breakfast), and was impressed both times. It is a very busy restaurant (expect to wait for a table unless you go very early in the morning), but they do take reservations. I had the salmon scramble both times, and it was delicious. The coffee is good, the service is attentive and... More

For you conference/convention goers, easy proximity (within a block) to the Marriott Wardman Park/ Omni Shoreham Hotel & National Zoo/Adams Morgan Metro stop. Better & far less expensive than the hotel restaurants. Service was attentive (we ate there twice), but additional cups of coffee cost extra & the background music, while appreciated, was just a little too loud for morning... More

Breakfast was great, eggs were light and filling. Lunch was outstanding-burgers rocked. Desserts were the highlight of my trip.

Their dishes were good. But night shift server was terrible. The server charged the original price even I visited there at happy hour.Their beer was great though.

Nice staff, neat place, good food. We had breakfast here one morning and loved it to pieces. I would go back again.

Open City was a destination for one of our group. Great atmosphere and great breakfast. Interesting selections and nice service. Sunday brunch was crazy busy and the good news is that we only waited 45 minutes for a table - and, we got one in the "quiet" section. Incredible noise in the main room. The service staff was hustling and... More

We were staying across the street for the week & ended up having breakfast here most mornings & dinner one evening. Had different items each morning & all were great. Coffee was good, service was always excellent. It was always busy & packed in but we didn't feel too cramped. Highly recommend it!
