DC trip w/ girlfriends

Ate here twice during our weekend stay. Decent portions for breakfast; OJ was a bit expensive ($4 tall 6oz glass). Get there before 8:30am if you don't want to wait! Overall cool & family friendly atmosphere.

I really know my cheesecake, because I love cheesecake. I decided to have a treat and I am really glad I did. It was fabulous and when I commented to the server staff she agreed and said that she often hears that review of the cheesecake. Go ahead! You'll be glad you treated yourself too!

This is a great little placr. We went here for breakfast which was across from our hotel. There was a wait but it was worth it. The food was delicious and our waitress was very friendly!

This was a great brunch with great omelette, great pancakes, excellent hash browns and good service. Busy place with nice open front when the weather is good. Definitely recommend for brunch.

The food is inventive American with an organic bent. There are many good restaurants in the area, however this is the first one where I have seen multiple families with small children. The staff and other patrons were very family friendly, which isn't common in the area. The seating inside was a little tight, but looked more roomy outside. Great... More

While I can appreciate that almost everything on the menu is gluten free, execution of each item wasn't thought out any further than that. It was either flavorless or undercooked (pizza). The service was great as was the coffee and hummus with chips. Keep working on the gluten free ingredients/recipes and it could be successful.

Open city is a perfect brunch spot. Their coffee drinks are the real deal, especially the masala chai that I tried. I got the Royale, a daunting breakfast with eggs, sausage, pancakes, toast, and hash browns. It was delicious. Everything on the menu looked great, the service was really really good and the place has a lovely patio that would... More

A true neighborhood establishment. Every weekend brunch sees lines wrapped around the block. Go there for great food, an excellent friendly staff, and to people watch.

I ate here four times in three days during my stay at a nearby hotel. It can be a bit crowded during the lunch rush but the service was still pretty good. My grilled cheese was a little burnt during my last meal but not unbearable. All of my other entrees were fantastic. The chicken salad sandwich was my fave!... More
