Good food and drinks

The restaurant has a good selection of food and a full bar. The prices are reasonable. Our server was pleasant and helpful. The decor has wood paneling and nice decorations of antiques. Clydes is located in an area with many other restaurants and stores. There at least two full length bars in... read more

I was staying at a nearby hotel for business and the concierge recommended this for a broad selection of food and good bar atmosphere. They did not disappoint! Seems like a very large restaurant with many bar areas and more intimate seating areas as well. I sat at the bar and there were probably 6 large TVs visible for a... More

Last night, my best friend and I went here just for some food and drinks after a long day at work. We were greeted by the bartender Gary who was absolutely great. He was hilarious and kept us entertained the entire night. The food..... please do not get me started.. The fried calamari, the crab and artichoke dip, the buffalo... More

This place came recommended by a local at the Natural History Museum, and we were not disappointed. The Trout Parmesan was really good! It was a very large piece of fish - so large that we shared it and both of us were competely satisfied. The apple dessert was just ok.

We had completed a tour and were looking for place to eat at about 930 at night. We tried another nearby location but they were closing as it was a quiet nite. We then discovered Clydes and we are so happy we did. Staff were so welcoming and service superb. The decor, photos and the ambience rates a 5 star.... More

huge menu, great deals on oysters late night. I had a lobster bisque, very creamy, nice hint o f sherry. no chunks of lobster but didn't expect much for the price. also tried the steak salad; the steak was very rare, but I was starving. however, it was a flavorful piece and I like beef on the still moving side.... For a restaurant located in the heart of DC, you can't beat Clyde' at Gallery Place/Chinatown. For $22 I had an amazing dinner - wild mushroom ravioli with short ribs and an au jus gravy with mashed parsnips, bread, and a fabulous Heath bar caramel cheesecake. Don't have a single complaint. The atmosphere is pleasant, the bar is separate from... More

I'm a fan of Clyde's so I'll start there. I like their vibe, I like that I can generally hear my companion speak during a meal, and I almost universally like their staff. I hadn't been to the Gallery Place location in a while but it was a treat to go back - I met a friend visiting from Seattle... More
