Fun place and great food at fair prices. Located in the vibrant 7th Street restaurant row. We sampled crab cakes at 4 DC locales recently, these were by far the best.
I've been here with friends a number of times for happy hours and will most likely continue to go. They of course have special prices for happy hours at the bar (we always sit at the bar), and always get the seafood tower for half price. The bartenders are always nice and friendly. The place starts getting busy during happy... More
The Good: Nice environment. The Bad: I ordered the pork Osso Bucco at the wiater's suggestio ("My father is from Italy, and its his favorite!") Well, maybe the Chef was having an off night. It arrived cold, and when sent back was far from memorabl.
This restaurant looks like a museum in the inside. Food was delicious. I was part of a group of 25 people. All were very please with the food and service. Prices were reasonable as well.
I stopped in at Clyde's after visiting the Museum of American Art & THE national Portrait Gallery...both of which are right around the corner. The service was extra friendly, the complimentary fresh bread and sea-salted butter completely addicting. I gt a simple cheeseburger and fries and they were delicious, cooked perfectly to order. Great atmosphere, and in a prime location.
Food is reliably consistent, but not incredible, fair amount of good menu options, and typically able to get food out relatively quickly in the front and back bar areas before games/events at Verizon Center.
I always enjoy coming in here. When you walk in you can feel the aura of old DC. I haven't ordered many things off the menu as I always want their crab cake sandwich and fresh cut French fries. Oh! and their nachos off the appetizer menu. Never a bad meal or bad service here and the booth seating is... More
Went in for happy hour & was not offered the menu The Bartender had no clue/training on basic drinks, bloody Mary no celery nor olives. The Irish coffee, cold old coffee,no lump of sugar or whipped cream and the bartender was clueless when I asked him??
After leaving the Green Turtle sports bar nearby, I decided to head over to Clyde's as the other place was not really to my liking. And a good choice it was. I was well impressed with the 3 separate bars at this place with tvs all over. The atmosphere is nice and the hamburger was very good. Service was average... More
