Date of visit: 9/29/2014 We enjoyed early cocktails and appetizers with friends before strolling the area during a pleasant September evening. After failing to find an alternate restaurant due to the late hour we gladly returned to Clyde's of Gallery Place for a late meal. It was wholly satisfying! This location is fantastic for multiple reasons. For starters it is... More

Our hotel had recommended Clyde's. Their crab cakes are simply delicious. I think I could have enjoyed them three meals a day. We ate in the bar, the service was prompt and courteous. Bartender made great drinks, quickly! The decor was pleasant and eating experience was not overwhelmed by too loud music....we sat, talked and truly had a very happy... More

I love the ambiance of this restaurant! It is so eclectic with a warm, "parlor like" feel and a side sunroom dining room for those desiring a brighter dining experience. True to most of Clyde's restaurants, the food is quite good. The restaurant is cozy yet spacious and can accommodate all size parties and you don't feel like you are... More

Searched around DC and discovered Clyde's and it become our destination for the next 4 nights. Grab a seat at the bar, (when available) order drinks and dinner, watch the sport on the tv's, chat to the locals and have a great time and conversation with the best bartender in DC, Jo Jo. JoJo was by far, the friendliest hospitality... More

We went for lunch with our grandsons. Our waiter, Dwayne, made the visit memorable. And the food was outstanding. He got the chief to make me a shrimp omelet and the kids menu comes with Hagen Das ice cream. What is not to like!

Sandwiches and salads were pretty good. Several of the meals were pretty salty including the bread, although it was tasty. Service was slow, not sure if that is typical.

Fun atmosphere. Very close to the metro stop. Food is fabulous. All the vegetables are grown locally. Fish is local. Average price of a dinner entree is $18. I had North Carolina sauted shrimp w fried green tomatoes and jalapeno creamed corn. It was a memory maker.

Great place for a relaxed dinner! We ate in the bar area and while it was a little loud, we were able to kick back and relax!

We were told that they had great crab cakes and they weren't lying! It was a very busy Friday night and we were told our wait would be 20 minutes. The hostess was pretty close as we waited 25 minutes. We did find a place at the bar with a very personable bar tender that made out wait more enjoyable.... More
