Booked a table at 10.30pm on a Saturday night , as that was the only one available when we called the day before (we wanted somewhere special to celebrate a birthday) but we took a chance and got there at 9pm hoping they could fit us in earlier......and they did! So that was a good start. food was excellent all... More

The food is good, so as the price and the portion is just right for a light lunch. All food exceed our expectation and the desert is a surprise with crisp pie and soft warm slices of pear on the top.

Dear ming962206, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I'm glad your dining experience was worth writing about. Food was amazing and the restaurant a lot more casual and relaxed than we had expected. Service great. However, the portion sizes were ridiculously large; we barely even ate half the food. Everyone around us was taking food home to reheat but we couldn't as we were staying in a hotel. Considering the very high prices we left feeling that... More

We come to DC every year for the cherry blossoms and we are always sure to make a reservation at BDT. This year was exceptional; we started with the head cheese and the foie gras. Absolutely amazing, the foie gras melts in your mouth like butter and the head cheese is like a pork crab cake from heaven. The main... More

We happened upon Blue Duck Tavern on our last night in town. Lucky enough, we were seated without reservations. Once at our table, we were immediately greeted by our waiter, Sankar. From there, the food and service exceeded every one of our expectations. Sankar recommended perfect food and drink pairings and highlighted the specials that the kitchen was currently offering.... My wife and I love this place! It is our designated "go to" spot to celebrate our dating anniversary (it's over 6 months away and I'm already looking forward to the next one)!! A very attentive and courteous staff will look after your every need and provide great advice. I love the braised rib, and the oven fired Wagyu beef... More

If it is on the menu, go for the crab scramble! It is decadent. Do not pass up a chance to dine at this restaurant.
