Description: Blue Duck Tavern, a contemporary neighborhood restaurant, invites its guests to gather and celebrate in good taste with a menu focusing on the freshest ingredients available from local purveyors and artisans. The menu notes every farm where the main ingredient for the dish was raised before its journey to the table. Dishes are genuine, time-honored and traditional -- slow roasting in wood embers, braising, preserving and smoking techniques bring the true flavors of America's great, simple and wholesome foods to the Blue Duck Tavern. The restaurant has an elegant residential feel through the open staff pantry and kitchen, wood-burning oven and the showpiece Molteni range.

The roasted squab with foie gras bread pudding was simply stellar. Perfectly roasted squab with its crispy exterior and juicy interior (that sounds dirty, but oh well!) is probably the best squab I've had anywhere. The foei added the perfect balance of richness to the roasted squab. This is the one "must-try" dish at Blue Duck. The bison hangar steak... More

Three ladies in the bar at a table for supper meant we didn't need reservations. Crab cakes and burgers delicious and a really delicious glass of wine. It was a delightful evening with charming service and very smart surroundings. We all have been before and will go back again. Great bar experience.

A group of us went here for my friend’s 30th birthday and had a fabulous time. We were seated in the way back, in a kind of private room with a single long table that overlooked the chef’s table. The original reservation was for 12, which is how many the table sat, but they let us squeeze in 2 extra... More

I haven't had many good experiences with restaurants within hotels, but Blue Duck Tavern is a win. Went here for brunch and was impressed with their menu. You can either go light or go heavy. The drinks and coffee aren't too much to write home about, but the food was delicious. The wood-oven roasted bone marrow became an instant favorite... More

What a pleasant dining experience. We arrived for our reservation on time but we had to wait for about 15 minutes at the bar, which was no big deal. We ordered the parsnip soup, charred kale caesar salad, seared scallops, roasted suckling pig, brussels sprouts and the BDT triple fries. My personal favorites were the brussels sprouts with ham hock... More

One of the best cocktail services I've seen in some time. We passed on wine and tried several versions of the excellent cocktails, each more impressive than the next. The food was excellent - the Duck fat fries are fantastic, although the aioli could have used a bit more garlic. The crab cakes with utterly without filler - lump crab... More

We booked this restaurant before leaving the UK as my husband had read good reviews. Situated at the Hyatt hotel it was easy enough to find and a short taxi ride from our hotel. We weren't sure we were going to like it as we were seated as there were a crowd of people around a table picking up plates... More

We were delighted to snag a table on a Sunday evening without a reservation. The Maitre D' apologized that the only remaining space was in a glass-enclosed booth where we would be sheltered from the noise. We couldn't believe our luck: a spot in a restaurant where we could actually hold a conversation. The problems began with the food. Nothing... More

I attended a luncheon meeting that was served family style at a long table in a semi-private area. A great variety of menu items and each one more delicious than the last. I'd highly recommend it for your lunch meeting.
