Description: Blue Duck Tavern, a contemporary neighborhood restaurant, invites its guests to gather and celebrate in good taste with a menu focusing on the freshest ingredients available from local purveyors and artisans. The menu notes every farm where the main ingredient for the dish was raised before its journey to the table. Dishes are genuine, time-honored and traditional -- slow roasting in wood embers, braising, preserving and smoking techniques bring the true flavors of America's great, simple and wholesome foods to the Blue Duck Tavern. The restaurant has an elegant residential feel through the open staff pantry and kitchen, wood-burning oven and the showpiece Molteni range.

Was staying at the Hyatt and tried this restaurant on a Friday night. I thought the menu was dominated by Goat products! Kind of difficult to pick out a meal I actually would have liked. Very interesting combinations that might work for others but not me. Pretty slow seating and service and a wobbly table didn't help. The food was... More

We visited the Blue Duck Tavern because we were celebrating a life accomplishment and could not have selected a better place. The food was fresh and delicious. They had a pan seared foie gras for appetizer that had it not been an upscale restaurant, I would've licked the plate :) The wine selection was amazing and our entree (the braised... More

Had a wonderful dining experience about a year ago and could not wait to go back but getting a reservation was nearly immpossibe. Took a client to dinner and could only get an 8:30 reservation. We got there and they said the people at the table were slow in leaving and suggested we go to the bar and wait. Waited... More

Just returned from brunch at this first class restaurant. Enjoyed more the superior starters, eggplant dip; tomato salad, and the side of hash browns ( more like a mcdonald's fried potato, but out of this world). The eggplant, and tomato salad , were the best I've ever had, as well as the fried, so called 'hash brown' potato-- which was... More

Our hotel had recommended this restaurant to us but when they rang they were told there wouldn't be a table before 10 however our friends looked on Open Table and got a table at 815 and I have to say the restaurant never was full! Food was good I would have said excellent but I ordered the Buffalo and after... More

This is a very hip, cool resto in a posh west side hotel. I had dinner at the bar so the vibe was a bit different than in the dining room. Its the end of summer, so I wanted to eat the last bit of tomatoes that I can! The heirloom tomato salad hit the spot, very well done and... More

This was really good for a hotel restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for our excellent server. Her recommended local dishes and if we did not like green tomatoes then we did not have to pay for them! We loved them. The menu was varied and served well. Prices were mid range and the setting great. We sat outside and... More
