Description: Blue Duck Tavern, a contemporary neighborhood restaurant, invites its guests to gather and celebrate in good taste with a menu focusing on the freshest ingredients available from local purveyors and artisans. The menu notes every farm where the main ingredient for the dish was raised before its journey to the table. Dishes are genuine, time-honored and traditional -- slow roasting in wood embers, braising, preserving and smoking techniques bring the true flavors of America's great, simple and wholesome foods to the Blue Duck Tavern. The restaurant has an elegant residential feel through the open staff pantry and kitchen, wood-burning oven and the showpiece Molteni range.

This is a very hip, cool resto in a posh west side hotel. I had dinner at the bar so the vibe was a bit different than in the dining room. Its the end of summer, so I wanted to eat the last bit of tomatoes that I can! The heirloom tomato salad hit the spot, very well done and... More

This was really good for a hotel restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for our excellent server. Her recommended local dishes and if we did not like green tomatoes then we did not have to pay for them! We loved them. The menu was varied and served well. Prices were mid range and the setting great. We sat outside and... More

Just a lovely evening, very good and interesting food, well thought out wine list, professional and discrete service, not cheap but worth it. Top picks: Bison, bone marrow, wild mushrooms and suckling pig.

This high-end restaurant in the Parc Hyatt is delicious! Bouillabasse, amberjack, etc were all wonderful! The atmosphere is lively, but we could still hear each other and our waiters were warm and informative.

After reading dozens of DC restaurant reviews, I finally decided to go with BDT. My husband and I were not disappointed. We loved it. Here's why ... RESERVATIONS AND SERVICE: I made reservations on OpenTable, but got caught on the Metro because they were having track issues. When I called the hostess to tell her we were running late, she... More

A great place to met for a Pot of tea or an Aperitif. The food is amazing here but tonight we just had a nightcap. The waitress was a little confused about different kinds of liquor, but she did bring what we wanted after asking questions. it is always worth waiting for here.

Since we had no reservations on a busy Friday, we were offered a table "to share". Luckily we didn't have to share. We had a great dinner and our server was patient and friendly. The food was tasty: pork chop and grilled vegetables are worth the combo, bison was a bit "small" though (ironic). And to finish: an amazing profiterole!... More

This restaurant is inside the beautiful Park Hyatt, between downtown DC and Georgetown. There is outdoor seating which is great when the weather cooperates. We ate there recently and were seated in one of their two "glass cubes," which are semi-private glass enclosed tables for four. They are cozy and quiet! The service was excellent, and so was the food.... More

I wanted so badly to love this place, and had anticipated our dinner for months. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I both left seriously disappointed, after having spent 300 hundred dollars on a meal that was just not good. The bone marrow is probably the only reason my review earned 2, instead of 1 stars. It was good..overly salty, but a... More

We went here on a Monday. We didn't have reservations. First, we were offered a communal table, which we accepted, but soon thereafter the hostess was able to accommodate us on the patio on our own table. The space outside is cozy, and the weather was nice. The staff was quick and courteous. Bread/butter etc. was served and was fresh... More
