Damn Good Eats on Capitol Hill!

Have been coming here for years off and on. Best qualities, besides an extensive menu is the variety of different patrons who frequent the place. Tourists, neighborhood types, blue collar, white collar, government workers, and no collar. Everyone passes through these doors. It opens early and... read more

1. Hate the taxidermy animal heads all over the walls. 2. Service is mediocre, at best. 3. Couldn't eat all my french toast, due to it being burnt. (Didn't have much flavor either.)

I wish I could give negative stars to this place. I can't comment on the food because I never got a chance to order. Waited over 20 minutes at a table without any acknowledgement from the staff. I should have known it was a bad sign when we walked in and no one said anything. Horrible experience and very poor... More

Tourists, neighborhood types, blue collar, white collar, government workers, and no collar. Everyone passes through these doors. It opens early and closes late. I would characterize the menu as good ole American comfort food. Best... More

Funky, old establishment on Capitol Hill. Service was excellent, with a really pleasant server, who I would guess has been doing this awhile.. Nice selection of draft beers. Go for the comfort food, nothing healthy on the menu. Had the meat loaf sandwich with sweet potato fries. Very tasty

Worst food I've had in DC. Service was mediocre, food is basic diner fare. Tune Inn definitely doesn't live up to expectations.

I've lived here for 40 years, and it's still one of my favorite places. Although featured on Dives, Diners, etc. on TV, it sadly is no longer a dive, since spruced up after a fire a few years ago. With a host of bars and restaurants on a two block stretch east of the Capitol, it is still my go... More

After leaving Eastern Market, we were looking for a place for lunch. Using TripAdvisor we found the Tune Inn, with high ratings. The lunch was very good and reasonably priced. My wife had the grilled chicken salad and I had the sloppy joe sandwich. Portion sizes were perfect, being filling without being too much. Enjoyable stop.

This place was recommended by a local its a short walk from the capital and library of congress. It is small and a tad dingy but the food was great, the kids loved the fresh homemade chicken fingers, the hubby ordered a roast beef sandwich that was on diners, driveins and dives and he loved it! The staff we're friendly,... More

We came in for breakfast with high hopes....and they were more or less dashed. No problems with the gritty dive bar feeling, even at 10am, but it seemed more dirty and dingy than cool. But it seemed popular and I like the idea that not every place needs to be all sparkly and trendy. I ordered the steak and eggs... More

Tune Inn is the place to go when you want fun foods and are NOT dieting...lol. The chili cheese fries are so good. Try that with a patty melt and a brew! They even serve breakfast all day. This is one of my favorite dives on Capitol Hill.
