Definitely bad FOR you, but so so good!

Based on reviews while researching for lunch spots for our trip to DC and from our times watching Diners, Drive Ins and Dives, we located this little spot and decided to try it out. We both had the deep fried burger with fries. Took a little longer than expected to get the food (it was about 1:15... read more

Food was good tasting; under staffed; we had a long wait for our entrees and never were served our appitizer; the cooks were smoking in the kitchen while preparing food. Can anyone say health code violation? The bar tender did not know what a roy rogers was. When he served it to my under age son, we quickly found out... More

After reading the reviews and spending $300 for dinner the previous night we decided to try the Tune Inn. When we arrived it appeared that there was no place to sit but you must squeeze by the crowded bar to see that there are tables in the back. We then asked for recommendations from the waitress and ordered several orders... More

We stopped in here after an appointment close by. I had the tune in burger which was of the most greasy, sloppy burgers i have ever had. Now i am a big fan of both but this was over the top, the bun couldn`t even handle it and was too soaked to handle. I might of sent it back but... More

We came to Tune Inn after we discovered that the original restaurant we planned on going to was closed on Sundays. Tune Inn was featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. It is a hole in the wall that had the friendliest staff we have encountered so far in DC! The Rueben was absolutely amazing! The beer battered hamburger... More

Everything we tried from the menu was a bland, battered something deep fried into a greasy, tasteless mess. And from the looks of it, the rest of the menu held true to that description as well. If you like beer battered everything, then this may be the place for you. Now, don't get me wrong I love a good tasty... More

We visited DC last year and part of the fun was trying to find a local dive bar/restaurant to eat at. We attempted to go during the lunch hour but found this tiny place to be packed full of men and women in suits from Capital Hill. We figured this is a good sign so we came back at a... More

This bar had very good food and nice, interesting decor. I would go here again if I were on capitol hill, but would not make a special trip there. Like many eateries in DC, it is located in an older, narrow building. Seating can be crowded, mainly due to the narrow building. Service was not super-friendly, but was ok. Food... More

Food was quality, and service was timely. Service was not warm, but it was quick enough. Try the blue cheese burger with sweet potato fries!

There are dive bars and bars with character. If you want a bunch of Capitol Hill staff sticking their noses in the air and looking to talk to someone more important than you then this is not your place. Had lunch here recently with a buddy who is a first responder in that neighborhood and the establishment has tons of... More
