Just downtown on M street. It's on the bar strip as we use to call it in 1976. The Third Edition is still the same. As old bars come and go the Third Edition stay's. It is a refection of Washington D.C.The bar will get what ever drink you can name and a few you can just make up! Great...

The Irish Nachos are a must have if you manage to make it to the 3rd. The service was not so great, but I can't really blame the poor guy, it was his first day and he was the only waiter. I actually felt bad for him.
Popped in for a brief respite and a pint at lunch; wasn't allowed a table as I wasn't eating but despite the fact the place was practically empty. Being sat at the bar did mean I got very attentive service from the barman. Didn't eat, so can't comment on the food (though it wasn't particularly cheap)
