We were wondering around the area looking for a place to eat and decided to come here for dinner and glad we did. The first floor is some sort of a bbq and you cook yourself and we went upstairs to their regular restaurant. Ordered broccoli chicken, seafood chow fun, eggplant shredded chicken and steamed dumplings. Everything was delicious and... More

our party had the "traditional" dim sum with the carts being rolled around. There were three of us so we couldn't have a lot of variety We were also limited by the dietary restrictions of one in the party One person felt the dim sum was not served up hot enough. The food tasted fine-- pork spareribs in black bean... More

This restaurant was very old school. I enjoyed it because it took me back to Chinese restaurants from the late 70s and early 80s. The wonton soup was delicious. We had an appetizer platter that was yummy. I went with my family of four. We only ordered two entrees, since the food is served family style. It was plenty of... More

I know that many American presidents and celebrities went to this restaurants and that is why it is probably overrated. Of course this restaurant is pricey, but not worth the food I ate. The food was very good, but nothing over the top or food you would not find in your typical Chinese restaurant.

While this restaurant has that funky old restaurant atmosphere, the food was awful. We ordered several varieties of dim sum. The taste and texture ranged from library paste to inedible. Surely there is a better eating locale in Chinatown.

I have to say that I believe the reviewers who don't like this place are wrong. The food is very very good here. I've had Chinese food all over the world and Tony Cheng's was great the afternoon we visited. The atmosphere is Old School and the food that we were served was very high quality. We tried a variety... More

My BFF and her husband live in DC. My husband and I were there for a weekend family event, and had lunch with our friends here, on a Saturday, when they do the old fashioned dim sum carts. I am not a huge fan of Chinese food and the lunch was planned around the close proximity to our hotel and... More

Went to this place for dinner as we were staying close by. The soup was ok, the marinated beef starter rubbery and horrible. Main course of fried rice and kung pao chicken average. Cannot reccomend this place. There are lots of better and less costly options nearby.

This was a dining experience with a twist I had never encountered. We were seated near the front of the restaurant, ordered our food and had quite good soup, spring rolls, and an entree of pork belly with mustard greens. No complaints. Good flavors and nice preparation. If only the story ended there. Part way through the entree I glanced... More

The Chinese restaurants are becoming scarce in Chinatown. This is one of the few left. Lost of variety and good for large groups. It's old school.
