Description: Welcome to Mr. Smith’s of Georgetown, the friendliest saloon in town...
Welcome to Mr. Smith’s of Georgetown, the friendliest saloon in town! Located in the heart of the historic district, our restaurant, lounge and piano bar has been serving up only the best since 1965. As you enter you will see an Antique Bar with several patrons being served and entertained by one of our two famous Bartenders from Ireland and Scotland. Keep strolling along, stop by the Sing-a-Long Piano Bar with live shows six nights a week, then join us in the hidden Garden Patio. The largest in Georgetown, our indoor and outdoor Garden is the perfect spot to enjoy our famous Thousand Dollar Burger or daily Happy Hour specials. We also offer a full menu of salads, steaks, pasta and seafood entrees, as well as weekend brunch and delicious desserts. Our homemade food at reasonable prices, served in a casual atmosphere with excellent service, has made us a favorite for nearly 50 years. Friendly place for lunch....

Just returned from having lunch at Mr Smiths now located on K St and Wisconsin( former Chadwick's).We happen to be just walking by so we decided to stop in and check it out. We already have dinner reservations so we didn't want to eat so much.We decided we would split a bowl of the onion soup... read more

Went to visit Mr Smith's for lunch on a whim. I was expecting that it would still be located on M Street with an outdoor patio to eat at. It has moved. We ordered Angus burgers as well as a veggie burger. The burgers were not cooked as ordered but were very good otherwise. The staff was prompt, attentive bringing... More

First time at the new location Business, family combined. Was very expensive and geared more to the college crowd. They would not honor coupons from internet. Atmosphere was nice but cost kept us from staying for the piano bar.

Attended a rehearsal dinner buffet here last week. Lovely place and really friendly attentive staff, food was a buffet but we'll done and good choice of beers. Pianist appeared later in the evening in the downstairs bar which was nice and lively.

Nine of us had dinner at Mr. Smith’s and had an excellent experience. The service was friendly and accurate. The food was good and it was served hot. The ambience was, well, adequate. We sat in the upstairs alcove—something I don’t remember doing when the place was Chadwick’s. Memorable it wasn’t, but then I only paid $17 for the tasty... More

I hadn't been since the changeover, but don't believe it's up to Chadwick's standards. That said, it's a fine place and service was good. My crab soup was loaded with crab, but the vegetables in it were a little crunchier than I'm used to in a soup. My Reuben was tasty enough, but a little slim on the stuffing. Chips... More

I used to be a regular at this place when it was Chadwick's and returned after a 2-year hiatus to find it under new ownership and name. The place is definitely NOT what it used to be, especially on Saturday night. Bartenders are young and inexperienced, food is OK, but the whole ambiance is just gone. People would walk in... More

Brunch with my daughter here. I had never heard of "bottomless drink" brunch. I didn't want something I can make myself so ordered Eggs Idaho. The waiter didn't really explain it well and the menu didn't either but I figure potatoes and anything can't be bad. Before me arrived perfection! Four potato skins fried golden with a mixture of eggs,... More

I used to visit the old Mr Smith's on M Street, and hoped the pleasant ambience and decent service had transferred to their new premises on K Street. Sadly not. We ordered starters and mains, and were bemused when the waiter brought the whole lot together. They seemed surprised when we sent the mains back. To be fair, they did... More

The worst thing about it was the service.... the guy didn't even know what they sold let alone could store a drink order in his head.... write it down? it doesn't make you look unprofessional...unprofessional is messing up everyone order, telling us they had certain products only to tell us after almost an hour of waiting that they don't actually...
