Awesome food in an offbeat atmosphere.

We went here on Friday, December 23rd, 2011 for a family dinner. My mother-in-law wanted to try their food, as she is ethnic Russian and lived much of her childhood in Serbia. The rating is really a combined rating. I'd break it down further as follows: Food: Excellent. 4 stars. This is... read more

Another time the waitress never brought my change back... I'd say there is more than a passing chance that there is a thief on the staff. Thank goodness I didn't leave anything in my jacket pockets.

This establishment is a great location for Bulgarians or people interested in meeting Bulgarians around Washington D.C. It is located on a major D.C. nightlife street and there was no cover charge, which is quite appealing. The boucer was Bulgarian as were a few of the bartenders. I have heard that this is the club where many Bulgarians have monthly... More

I stopped here on a Saturday afternoon - they were open for Brunch. My friend and I shared the Eggs Benedict and the Blueberry pancakes. Both were very good. Coffee was excellent. The music was lowkey and pleasant. Good service. Pleasant atmosphere. Newspapers and magazines available to browse. A nice way to spend a part of the afternoon. Location is... More

If Left Bank was situated anywhere else but in Adams Morgan I would have given it an overall OK rating. Food is not too bad but if you want good food go elsewhere. Music is decent but there are 10 better places within 1 block. Crowd is mixed, typical. The athmosphere is boring and there is a sense of emptiness!... More
