Happy Hour crowded & so so

We went with a group of friends for HH. It was very crowded both upstairs and down. We actually got our drinks quickly. We ordered about five things from the HH menu, both vegetable and meat dishes. However they all seemed to taste about the same...fried. The mussels, the only one that wasn't... read more

A don't miss. Great tapas, our group had paella, lamb chops, scallops, shrimp, and more - all tasty. But the sangria - I tasted a peach one and a strawberry/blueberry. I don't like sweet wines, but they were amazing. Tasting and passing the small plates really made for a fun evening. Great and responsive service too.

A nice place in the middle of Chinatown/Gallery Place to have tasty tapas. Highly recommend the bacon-wrapped dates, shrimp and avacado salad and the lamb. We had the sangria blanca and the rosada... both were great (I personally l preferred the blanca) Service was decent and the food came out quickly.

Our favorites of the evening were the pan a la Catalan, and the gambas al ajillo. Both highly recommended. Batatas bravas were just average and the empanadas could have used some spice Wonderful bread. Not impressed with the cheese plate, except that it came with these amazingly spicy marcona almonds. The menu has nice descriptions of the wines, i.e. short... More

My fiancée and I stopped in Saturday evening prior to a Capitals Hockey game to try the restaurant out and we are so glad we did! We were seated promptly and the wait staff were professional, courteous, and fast! The food was out of this world! We had a couple tapas each and shared! Afterwards we had some of the... More

I love Tapas and when I saw this restaurant and a lively crowd, I thought I would give it a try. the wine list was good, several interesting things on the menu, Tried the Brochta Pollo and when I saw Paella on the menu, I had to try it. Both were not very good, had to hunt the chicken down... More

I've dined at La Tasca in the UK. Each time I found the food and the experience excellent. How fortuitous that La Tasca established restaurants in the DC area. And one just two blocks from my hotel. I enjoyed the $14 lunch special very much. Two tapas and a soft drink--hard to beat the value in DC. I appreciate that... More

I remember this place since 2010 when me and my wife visited D.C. together and liked the restaurant. Its part of a chain; located close to National Mall on 7th street. I tried their specials -- 3 tapas+unlimited sangria for $30 (not for me since I'm not much into sangria) and unlimited tapas no alcohol -- that's the best. I... More

La Tasca is located in the center of DC Chinatown. I highly recommend the place to stop for lunch. During my visit, there was a lunch special, two tapas for 14 and the price of wine by glass was great value. The place has plenty of seats at the bar, bar area, and dining areas. I have been to the... More
