Excellent experience

This was an excellent tapas experience. My family of five split 11 small plates and each one seemed to be better than the last. The sangria pitchers were delicious and affordable. After a long day sight-seeing, I was so happy to sit down and experience some of the best tapas I have ever had. The server was attentive and kind and it was lively, but still quiet enough for me to read as I ate. Loved it and will go back in the future!

Visited Tapas during a company luncheon. The restaurant décor and atmosphere was definitely Spanish and Mediterranean. The restaurant sits in the heart of China town across the street from the Gallery Place China town metro stop. Darvi was our server and he explained everything on the menu a first visitor needed to know. The lunch specials were $14 and came... More

We enjoyed a meal here after a busy day in Washington DC. The food could have been a little bit warmer however it was nice and tasted like authentic tapas to us. We enjoyed about 5 dishes between 3 of us. It was a very busy restaurant and noisy at first (around 7:30pm) however quietened down around 8pm or so.... More

I stopped in here for some tapas and a glass of sangria for a light evening meal. The sangria was pretty bland- the glass I had at the Jazz in the Park had more flavor! The fried plantains were delicious and the presentation was nice, but the mojo sauce was too acidic and didn't add anything to the plantains. The... More

Being a tapas lover I thought a Spanish meal would be welcome change during a 3 week road trip. The restaurant is nicely decorated and enjoyable to sit in. But the tapas are way off the Spanish/Andalucian level and are overpriced. I can give a few hints on where to go and taste the real thing in Spain so the... More

Though very noisy (when will restaurants have good acoustic installations??), the menu selections were generous, the tapas good. The waitstaff were very friendly and helpful. Worth trying!!

After a day on a bus tour of Washington we were looking for a place to eat and we were in the mood for small bites. It was a steaming night and I was in the mood for a light meal. Tapas is a fun way to eat and you get to try all sorts of dishes, combine this with... More

When we first walked in, we were a little put off by how loud it was. But it was people-noise: everyone was talking and having a great time. Our waiter moved us to the back, in what we laughingly called the old-people section! I had the frozen Mojito (great!), a beef plate with horseradish and mushroom mousse, and the asparagus.... More

Went with a group and they have a number of prix fixe menu. Opted for the Arte menu, which was about $25/person. Would of liked some ability to choose out some of the selection, but at least it was easy. The sangria was ok. If you are sitting upstairs, it can be noisy. They do have a downstairs that is...
