Very good food during Restaurant week

My boyfriend and I ate at La Tasca last night. We are not from DC and didn't know it was restaurant week. The food was very good, and filling for tapas. The service was a little slow, but it was a Sunday night. I would recommend this place.

We went to La Tasca for our anniversary dinner. It was fabulous! They had a sampler meal that was perfect for getting to try the various tapas that they have. Many of the tapas were comparable to the tapas we enjoyed in Spain. We also had a pitcher of Sangria which was fabulous! The service was wonderful and they made... More

We had a lunch special that included 3 tapas per person and unlimited sangria. We were able to try many tapas options and they were all delicious. And the cava sangria was amazing. We sat at the bar, and the bartender Antonio took care of us. He was super nice and professional. Great service.

Frankly for the food, I would give La Tasca 4 stars but their happy hour policy has GOT TO CHANGE! We have patronized this location and the one in Arlington and its the same. Unless you have a seat at the bar, or one of the high tops or you STAND, the happy hour prices for their appetizers don't apply.... More

We recently held an informal wedding rehearsal dinner for 16 people at La Tasca. Our family had eaten here several times over the last few years and always loved the food. The prices are reasonable compared to many other DC restaurants of similar quality. We live out of town, and I was able to arrange for the dinner, complete with... More

After "sticker shock" at a few other DC restaurants, we were pleasantly surprised at the $15 tapas lunch special at La Tasca. You get two appetizers for $15, and we thought that the quality and portion size were very good for the money. We shared a spinach salad with pears and dates, a salad with shrimp and avocado, fried eggplant,... More

Stopped in while on a trip to DC - the ambiance of the restaurant is exceptional. It was Christmas so it was very festive. the food was INCREDIBLE. I can't get over how good everything was. The meat was cooked to perfection. The wine was great. Excellent service. Yum! I want more La Tasca!

I have been to this restaurant several times whenever I have meetings downtown. This restaurant provides excellent services; the waiters are attentive and efficient. We were a party of 8 conference goers this time without a reservation. We were seated promptly; the food arrived quickly, and the waiter provided eight separated checks without us asking. We all had the lunch... More

If you go here for anything at all, it should be during happy hour and it should be the sangria. They have many options to choose from, which can be overwhelming sometimes, but if you know what you like, then it's an easy choice! The food is ok - nothing that I come back for. But, the sangria is wonderful!

Great Spanish food. We love the tapas and the wine selection is good too. We have visited several times thanks to living social coupons.
