Had an amazing experience at La Tasca while walking around China Town. We were seated promptly, and right by the window. The decor was very comfortable and upbeat. The server was outstanding in his descriptions of everything, and perfect timing. The food was incredible. We did not stop here for a meal - rather, it was an alternate to going... More

Many many choices and all of them were tasty. Be prepared, the place is noisy, but you'll have a fun and delightful meal. A bit pricey but still worth going

I was in town with a group of five students for a high school journalism convention. After a long day of touring the city, we ended up at La Tasca at around 6:30 on a Saturday night. We had reservations to eat there for lunch the next day, but we decided to try it for dinner instead because the other... More

nearly everything we had was excellent. really liked the chicken on a skewer (ordered twice), plantain chips, and the steak was good. Bacon and dates are okay, but probably a taste thing for me. we also had some excellent stuffed eggplant.

On a trip to Washington DC, we were recommended La Tasca by our hotel concierge, as we had indicated we wanted seafood. We were offered a seat overlooking the street when we arrived, as we asked for the quietest part of the restaurant. This worked out well. When we looked through the menu, we were delighted to find, amongst other... More

This place is not far from the quality of the restaurants in Barcelona (they have a Catalan chef from Barcelona). The tapas are really good and the price is not bad. There was a chill, relaxed, laid-back atmosphere when I visited the restaurant. Also, do not listen to Tirza M. Very pretentious...

And why not? A tapas bar in Barcelona is filled with fresh tidbits of food well executed and simply prepared. Ingredients that reflect the availability of fresh local produce, fish and meat. Overly precious combinations are rare. I found the meat dishes at La Tasca greasy and rubbery, the seafood often tastes frozen and the sangria was vile. That was... More
