It's a real pleasure and a sometimes unexpected surprise after hearing of the great food and service from a 5 star restaurant that it actually meets and exceeds your expectations. Foodies listen up---make time to go to Komi---you'll be very very pleased. Be prepared to travel around the culinary and wine world with too many ingredients to possibly remember. Part... More

We grabbed the MARC train to DC for a foodie date night dinner at Komi near Dupont Circle. The meal was a total wow experience. Each course was imaginative and left my wife and me wanting just one more bite. Rhubarb, scallop and quinoa was the creative dish of the night. But the goat was the rock star - soft... More

This meal far surpassed our expectations. Every course was delicious and unique. We've been in DC for over a month now and this was by far, the best restaurant we've been to. Accompanied by our older children, we have dined in many of the 'top' places, and this is right up there. Can't wait to go again!

I have dined in fine restaurants both here in the states and abroad, but never have I enjoyed my meal as much as I did last night. Each part of the meal was presented with an explanation of what we were eating, then we were able to savor each and every delicious bite. Every plate was outstanding, containing a rich... More

I'd heard about this place for some time before spending my anniversary there with my husband. Everything was delicious and the wine and beer pairings were good.

My husband took me to Komi for our anniversary and what a wonderful experience we had. Typically when I eat multiple courses, I find myself overwhelmed and just too full by the end, but Komi did a beautiful job of pacing the food and providing perfect tasting portions. The food was spectacular, the service impeccable, the place intimate, tasteful, and... More

The night before we ate at Komi we ate a Daniel in NYC. Daniel is a baseline destroyer. We were prepared for a "decent" but nothing special kind of meal. Damn, did I get that one wrong. Greek inspired, multi course, tasting menu with something for everyone: Crudo, French Molecular Gastronomy, two plates chock full of simply and perfectly prepared... More

Easily one of the best meals in the USA - 16 dishes each prepared to perfection - from the lamb to the mascarpone dates. The only thing that excels the quality of the food is the staff serving it. We visit DC just to have a meal at Komi - highly recommended! Just make sure you book ahead of time... More

I have noticed that several reviews criticize the repetitiveness of the experience...this was my second time and everything but the goat was unique and amazing. The veal sweet breads were bites of unctuousness, the pork cheek ravioli with fava beans was other worldly, the trout bite with some red condiment I can't recall was amazingly simple but delicious, and the...
