I was in DC with 4 kids with 4 different pallet preferences so I was on the scout for a place to get food for us all. We decided on this little place because of the billboard which was a copy of an article raving about this fantastic little secluded, well-priced, place. I'm not sure what made it "organic"? I... I have been eating here for 15 years. It's nothing fancy at all, but for basic Chinese food for a reasonable price it's your best bet in upper NW.

The delivery took 90 minutes to arrive, and we weren't all that far from the restaurant. By the time it got here, the wontons in the soup were soggy, and everything was just sort of warmish. Both the kung pao and the veggie spring rolls had a distinct and unpleasant vinegar flavor. And they didn't include any utensils or napkins,... More

This restaurant was in walking distance from my hotel (the Omni), and was a nice little find. Everything was reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food you receive. They also have really good dinner deals; you get an entree, spring roll, rice and soup for ~$11.00. It is good quality food, much better than anything fast food.

We had dinner here on our last night in DC. The menu offers small and large portions, but apparently only large in the evening. Wish we'd realised that before ordering!! The portions are huge and we failed to finish our meal. The food was good, but nothing special. The publicity mentioned the Peking duck, but it wasn't on the menu... More

Good Chinese takeout within walking distance of Marriot Wardman Park hotel and conference center. They clearly cater to tourists and even offer you plates and utensils for carryout orders. Lots of veggies and everything was fresh. Not much of an atmosphere in the restaurant itself, but good option for takeout if you are sick of pricey hotel restaurant food. Will... More

I ate at Mr. Chen's for lunch while I was in DC. The food was excellent. The serving staff were very friendly and I will definitely return in the future!

Their hot and sour soup is excellent and very fairly priced. The restaurant is pretty much a hole below sidewalk level but the service is efficient and pleasant. A good place to take kids who like simple Chinese dishes.

Worth a visit. Cheap, and reasonable quality. The staff were good, and enjoyed having the kids in the restaurant.

This place is NOT organic. They say only the vegetables are ORGANIC - WHO KNOWS ?!?! The waiter barely speaks english. The service is lacking and the decor is out dated. Like the sign says voted # 5 in 2005. SERIOUSLY…… OVER 8 years ago. !!! Stay away ….get the Ice Cream upstairs at Baskin Robbins !!!! and AVOID going... More
