A Worthy Delight

Indique is indeed unique! I recommend the upstairs dinning area. The menu is simple but enough good choices. Many of the dishes have a spicy element to them so make sure you talk with your waiter to make sure there are no unwanted surprises. In my case i couldn't have been happier except when our... read more

After a week in D.C I had started to miss indian food, my friend who lives in D.C was kind enough to take me to Indique. The place was jam packed that speaks of its popularity. Achari tacos, bhel puri, papri chat, sliders are a must in appetisers. Hold on there is Chicken makhani and paneer Malkhani with garlic naan... More

Eating often at Indian restaurants, i wasn't impressed with this one. Nice decor and acceptable service yes, but the food four of us ordered and shared last week had the distinct lifeless 'warmed over' look and taste you expect to find in tired buffet-style Asian restaurants for budget travelers around train stations in any city. Perhaps because it was Monday... More

Indique offers the typical Indian menu, well prepared, well served, and reasonably priced. The lamb curry was one of the best I've encountered on this side of the Atlantic. The restaurant is easily accessible by Metro in the funky Cleveland Park district.

As it was a special occasion, we decided on Indique. In short, we were not disappointed. Even though it was a weeknight, there were quite a number of folks dining at the restaurant. The service was pleasant and no pressure. The chicken chettinad was excellent but the lamb roghan josh was iffy. Also very nice were the papri chaat and... More

We love Indian food and had read about this place. It exceeded our expectations -- a lot of "fusion" food is just silly, but they mixed compatible ingredients in a way that made us wonder why everyone doesn't do that, too. Plus everything LOOKED as good as it TASTED -- it was colorful and beautifully presented in attractive dishes. We... More

Favorite Indian restaurants in DC are Indique, Bombay Club, Rasika, and Masala Art. And the favorite favorite is Indique - the food is simply delightful - the masala dosa is divine, the vegetarian options amazing, and the breads exquisite. The food is not heavy - and ingredients fresh. Have dined as a couple, with friends, and with our young six-year... More

If you look up the best restaurants in DC, you will not come up with this one. My thought of an Indian restaurant you more or less know what is on the menu and know what you will eat. This place takes the 1st prize hands down for the innovation. Excellent Indian fusion food; as the name suggests it is... More

We try Indian restaurants wherever we go...the meal was delicious and the service was very good. this restaurant has a unique feature with two balconies (few tables each) to have your meal. Ask for them when you make a reservation

I paid my bill with a credit card and left a 20 percent tip in cash. However, when I received my statement I noticed that they had added 20 percent to the amount of my bill. This was completely unauthorized. Be very alert when paying with a credit card.
