We went to Firefly early in the evening because we had grand-kids with us, so we did not want to deal with an elaborate service and prolonged dinner hour. When I asked the receptionist for a quiet table she smiled and said its a noisy place but I will do my best. Her best was a circular table toward the... More

The food was actually pretty good here and the service was excellent. The reason I'm saying average is because my tiny portion of pot roast was 30 bucks... The food just isn't worth the money.... Most of the entrees were 30 buck apiece give or take a dollar or two... They have a 1/2 lb burger for 18 bucks which... More

I took a group of people from work to Firefly and we had a nice evening. There were 7 of us and reservations were easy. We finished up our day of meetings early and I called at 5:00 to move up our reservations (on a Tuesday) and they were able to move it to 6:00. The receptionist greeted us and... More

We decided to have breakfast on our last day and we were disappoint we didn't try it earlier. The breakfast was excellent with your usual fare and the unique. I had the multi-grain bread with banana yogurt and agave syrup. It was absolutely delicious. Our server was quite friendly also.

On Saturday and Sunday brunch the mimosas are only $3 wow ..you cant beat that. And they tasted great, they definitely didn't... More

We had brunch on Saturday and enjoyed the $3 mimosas and $4 bloody marys. The food was outstanding. Great French fries! It's a small yet busy place so you may want to make a reservation. We went back on Sunday and had the firefly omelette (highly recommend) and breakfast tacos. The bread is delicious but save room for your meal!

Walking by one night I checked out the menu. I love all things portabello so the following week I stopped by for lunch and was not disappointed. The staff was very competent and friendly. Hope I have time to return while still in DC.

Firefly was recommended and has a nice atmosphere. Service was however not consistently prompt, and meals took longer than expected to arrive, even though it was not a busy time. The burger was tasty, but over priced and there are only a limited range of beers on offer.
