Within a short walk of Fado, on the edge of DC 's Chinatown, you can find a number of very good breweries. Fado does not brew its own beer, but it has quite a few on tap as well as bottled. The atmosphere is pure Irish pub, the service is friendly and the big surprise, for me anyway, was the... More

Went here with a group of about 20 people. Staff was great, Anastacia from Russia, took care of us. Prices weren't too bad. I had the fish and chips and I would say the fish is one of the best I've had in a long time. Drinks were mixed right, and numerous styles/types of beer. Due to Police Week, they... More

First off - the side salad that I ordered with my meal was amazing. Hands down the best salad I've ever had. We ordered chips as an appetizer with various sauces - they were ok, nothing special. My husband had a really good shepherds' pie and I had a chicken sandwich that was so-so. The atmosphere was very noisy and... More

Fado definitely holds its own against traditional irish pubs in the states and in Ireland. One of the hardest dishes to find stateside in irish Pubs is the Boxty and Fado has amazing ones. Definitely give it a try. Great atmosphere and service. I follow their Facebook and it makes me want to go back everytime I see the goings... More

Having been to Ireland (best vacation ever) my wife and I like to go to Irish pubs in the states and this one is by far up to par with pubs that we went to in Ireland minus the accent of the Irish people we so loved to hear. We went on a day where Real Madrid got shellacked in... More

Service was very slow to start, but with the shift change we ended up with a great waiter. Food was excellent as was atmosphere.

Great place to have a pint and listen to the bartenders speak with Irish accents. They are usually very busy before sporting events and of course on St Patrick's Day and have a very unique decor that is worth checking out

The fish and chips at Fado is amazing! I frequent this resturant at least once a month. The staff is very polite and have authentic Irish accents. It is wonderful place to go and great for sporting events.

I've been 2 times in the past year on my trips to DC. This time I was solo at the bar. The bartender was prompt initially, but then seemed to forget about me. The lamb dip I had was really good, and I think the atmosphere would be pretty good with a group of friends. I think it's a little... More

Service was great. We had a cold rainy day and stopped in for lunch to warm up. Atmosphere brought us back to a recent visit to Ireland (where the weather was the same :-). Food well prepared and the fireplace (and a Guiness) helped warm us !
