Excellent Irish Food

Despite a touristy location and overdone "old Irish pub" decor, the food here is really excellent. The only place I've had a better Boxty was in Dublin! Crazy busy on nice-weather weekends and events nearby, but especially nice on a cold rainy winter evening.

After a very hot morning in DC in July, my family stepped into this restaurant. It was cool from the A/C and nice and quiet. The atmosphere was dark and had a large bar similar to pubs in Ireland. Our server was prompt to get us waters and get our order taken. The bathrooms were clean and the baseball game... More

We had great Irish food, but the place is loud. You cannot hear yourself think. A bit pricey - but good food and plentiful. Good beers. Service was quick.

We happened upon this restaurant when we could not get a reservation at another place down the street. It was a happy outcome as the food was delicious and the service very nice. Try the Gaelic Steak - a terrific entrée!

I've eaten & drank here dozens of times and have zero complaints - which is saying something in this area. Good food, friendly staff, Guiness for all that ails you.

Went to watch football (the game played with the feet) and was surprised at the number of fans there for an 11am kickoff. The atmosphere was good, the guiness great and the Irish breakfast filling.

Great atmosphere- with or without kids. We had the beer battered fish and the fish tacos. Delicious! The drafts were a bonus! Definitely would go back.

A very nice place to have a Guinness. We didn't eat much just some apps, but they were good. This place is in the china town area, go figure. The inside décor is all authentic, some pieces were shipped in from Ireland. It gets a bit crowded, but hey that just means the beer and food are good.

Looking for a nice place to enjoy lunch during a training session in DC, located this place very close. Passed it by numerous times, decided to stop in. Great lunch specials, with fast service. What a surprise, very cozy and friendly. Great selection of everything Irish. I enjoyed a corned beef sandwich which was excellent. The prices were reasonable as well.
