I tried this place for carryout dessert. Ordered the bread pudding and they heated it up for me to go. Very tasty. The cupcakes looked good. Expected to see more chocolate on display???

Out of breakfast potatoes at 12:30 Sunday brunch? When there is a Safeway across the street and a Magruder's next door, one cannot be out of potatoes to serve one's guests. As to the food we did get: meh.

This is the default coffee shop in Chevy Chase DC to hold small committee meetings, meet old friends or eat breakfast solo. Friendly service, decent food offerings (a special brunch menu on the weekends) and very respectable espresso and cappuccino.

Visited this cafe for breakfast a couple of times whilst staying at the nearby Fairmont Hotel, just on the edge of Georgetown. Staff are very friendly and the guy in charge is spot on - knowing exactly what's happening everywhere in his establishment. Great attention to detail. The breakfast menu is superb - all freshly cooked and delicious, no complaints... More

A locally owned chain, bread and chocolate is fantastic -- wonderful coffee drinks, if you can break away from Starbucks, omlets made to order, cool desserts, and their own creation, birchermuelsli, that is great. Family and dog friendly!

I like this place to meet friends for lunch. It is casual and the food is dependable good. It's a pretty standard menu with few variations. I enjoy the quiche entree, and of course the hot chocolate is delicious. It's a good choice for a casual meal.

We went on a Saturday when brunch was offered. It was delicious and a great value for what you got. Would definitely return. :)

This restaurant has everything you want for a warm inviting dinner, lunch, or brunch with family or friends. The potato leek or french onion soups, the salads, homemade chicken pot pie, the moussaka, the quiche of the day, and of course, the fresh breads and elegant, tasty desserts - from croissants, to fruit tarts to cappucino cake. This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and was great. They have lots of homemade breads and pastries. It was hard to decide what to have for breakfast. I had their cinnamon challah bread french toast and Canadian bacon and it was delicious. Had a good latte as well. Everything my friends had looked equally tasty. We sat outside and... More
