Went there on Saturday night, so expected a crowd, but this place was packed. Tables inches away from each other, bar standing room only, and they play loud music. Welch Rare Bit was good. Other food just average. Mixed drinks served in a tumbler, way too much mixer to alchohol ratio. If you want to be seen, this is probably... More

I love Martins. Placed in the heart of old George Town. It's a place where you can always find familiar faces. The best bartenders Alejandro and Johnny always put a smile on your face and provide great service. My favourite thing on the menu is the fried green tomatoes bison burger with steamed broccoli. Also a great choice is the... More

Sat at the bar and had an excellent shepard's pie. Had a real feel of oldtime DC. Booth 1 = JFKs, Booth 2 = Nixon, Booth 3 = JFK proposed to Jackie, Booth 6 = Truman, Booth 24 = LBJ and Table 12 = GWB.

What a great place! This was our first trip to DC. I have always wanted to visit Martin's based on its history and presence in Georgetown. We were seated in the "dugout", the back room in a booth. There are lots of fun historical sports photographs on the walls. Martin's was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Our service was great!... More

Despite its rich history, this place is great because so many locals done there. Jack Kennedy proposed to Jackie in booth 3, and several other presidents have frequented the place, yet the staff and management are friendly and down to earth, and the food terrific. Some of the best crab cakes I've had!

Twice in two days did I visit this charming restaurant in Georgtown. Good variety of food, delicious soup of the day and serviceminded staff. A good choice for a calm hour in the middle of, or at the end of the day.

This place has been around for so many years and is still a thriving establishment. In nice weather months, the patio dining is a hot commodity. What I love most about Martin's Tavern is the breakfast and brunch selection. They serve early dining every day of the week and you can smell the bacon cooking before you even walk in... More

When my kids and I went the Sunday before Thanksgiving, the restaurant was decorated for Christmas in such a cosy and appealing way! The waiters are old-school Parisian bistro-style. The food is classic pub with an especially good Hot Brown with Rarebit sauce. All in all, the atmosphere and food contributed to an enjoyable dining experience.

Lively pub with loads of atmosphere. Service was good but food was OK, nothing special, but we still had an enjoyable evening.

Great food, excellent service, historic flair. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a full bar. JFK proposed to Jacqueline here! Along with other famous restaurant Euros!
