Breakfast at The Diner

Our first morning as visitors to Washington and needing to see a business in the area, our Cab driver recommended The Diner. Perfect. Typical of what us Brits see as an American Diner with great food and service. A very good start to our stay. Recommended.

If you're looking for an american breakfast with all the trimming, this is probably the place to go. We had the Royal Diner and coffee and there was more than enough food. We paid 34$ in total - very reasonable price and good service

On a pleasant sunny morning we were seated at an outside table and enjoyed a relaxing and tasty breakfast. Our waitress was prompt and pleasant and we were served quickly. My son had shrimp with grits and I selected eggs Benedict. I am told my son's meal was very tasty while I found my meal to be acceptable but not... More

Food was excellent! Went to the Diner based on previous reviews when in the area and so happy we did. Good prices for amazingly cooked home style food! A+

My husband and I were having a late breakfast. We decided to go to Adam Morgans after my business meeting. We saw the restaurant and walked in and were told to seat ourselves. We sat in a booth near the door. Unfortunately a little bird pooped on your table and we had to request sanitizer for the table instead of... More

Based on all of the previous reviewed on The Diner I was expecting something truly amazing. Unfortunately The Diner turned out to be just A Diner. The fare was tasty, just nothing out of the ordinary. The Monte Cristo was ok, but I would go so far as to say the Cheesecake Factory version is better. Service was average, and... More

The range and quality of food served was brilliant. A very busy restaurant due to this so we had to wait 40 mins for a table but it was worth the wait. We went several times, I would recommend the bread pudding and southern fried chicken.

After a night of enjoying DC you tend to work up an appetite. We went into the Diner around 1:00am and they were fairly busy. We were greeted with friendly service and end up having really great food. We all ordered breakfast and the food was good and the diner itself was very clean.

Located in the popular Adams Morgan district, this place has a great cooking staff. Especially if you are hanging out in the late hours, it is open till morning serving breakfast , dinner, lunch etc. Staff very friendly and efficient. Loved how they actually made their corn beef hash not canned like many places serving it for breakfast.

While on a weekend jaunt to DC, we explored the Adams-Morgan area. We were on foot, so didn't cover much ground. But we did find a new favorite restaurant! The Diner served us a delicious breakfast of eggs, toast and corned beef hash. The service was prompt, and the staff were pleasant and friendly. There is an outdoor section, but... More
