Great Mexican Food In A Great Part of Town

We chose this off of DDD Flavortown and are glad we did!!! In every sense of the word this is a neighborhood dive (treasure)!!! Don't let the interior or paper plates fool you...this is great food at unbelievably low prices. We tried the cheese and pork pupusa...yummy! My son said the... read more

I recently ate here with my mom while visiting DC as a recommendation from a local. It is in a really cute area on Capitol Hill and had some nice outdoor seating. The restaurant itself looks like a hole in the wall, so if that is not your style, this restaurant is NOT for you. My mom and I shared... More

We found this restaurant via Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and decided to give it a shot while we were in the DC area doing a college tour. The portions were generous and food yummy- especially the Tex-Mex burrito. We also enjoyed the pupusas. Service was good- the woman at the counter was very helpful and made good suggestions as we... Food was OK - nothing special. For a Mexican place, they gave a lot of food. It wasn't seasoned the best, but was OK for lunch. Prices were average. Margarita's are good.

Food and service are excellent, a very good deal price wise. Had burritos and beef sandwich, served quickly. Recommended.

I can't speak for the Mexican cuisine as we came in here for the Pupusas. We were thoroughly disappointed. As a Salvadoran family we have made and tasted all kinds of pupusas and know an authentic pupusa when we try one. These pupusas were not authentic at all. We had pork and cheese ones. The pork inside is non existent... More

Found this place on the food network, and wanted to try it. The place is small but the food is excellent it made fresh and taste great. We had a great time at this restaurant...I had the texmex burrito with two sides for lunch...plenty of delicious food at a reasonable price...seating is limited inside cozy restaurant

We like to follow Guy Fieri's suggestions when we travel so we had to try this place when we visited the Eastern Market. It was very crowded but we were able to order & find a table pretty quickly. Food was delivered quickly also. Tamale plate was was good, hubby liked the beans. I ordered the pupusas, very good. Perfect... More

We got the idea to go here from Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The appearance of the actual place would fall under the dive catagory. Getting a seat was tricky but doable. There was outside seating but it was a little too chilly for us. It is like a takeout type of Mexican restaurant with odd seating located near Eastern Market... More
