Great Pizza, slow service

My wife and I love Two Amy's, the pizza is great. We have been there 3 times and always enjoy the food. The only negative is that the service is sometimes a bit slow and the place can get a bit loud.

I was completely blown away by this place. We started with small plates, and every dish was an event the senses. I love restaurants that clearly don't skimp on any of their ingredients. Two Amys is working with the best of the best -- and then preparing everything thoughtfully and creatively. We finished with the Norcia Pizza, which consisted of... More

Arrived around 5:15 pm with my extended family (total of six people) on September 10, 2009. Took awhile to get the attention of the wait staff, although the place didn't seem particularly busy. Within an hour, the joint was jumping and raucous as feeding time at the zoo. We found ourselves screaming at each other and practically resorting to sign... More

Overrated pizza. We prefer Comet Ping Pong's pizza.

This restaurant seems to be either a hate it or love it propostion, depending on one's expectations. Yes, the crust is charred. It is baked according to very strict standards- Pizza Napoletana D.O.C., and if you are not familiar with true neapolitan style pizza you may not like it. However if you are familiar with Frank Pepe's pizza in New... More

Two Amys is consistently rated by restaurant reviewers as "the", or one of the, best pizza places in DC. You have got to be kidding! The owners of Two Amys must be personal friends with the restaurant reviewers because no one could be so off the mark with this place. I have been to Two Amys 5 times in search... More

We had heard all the hype and were excited to finally get to try the pizza at two amys. Unfortunately, we were completely unimpressed. The pizza at Chef Geoff's (not known for their pizza) is better...and if you want the best in town, save yourselves a lot of money and go to Vace's in Cleveland Park for a slice!
