Nice bistro

Terrific menu and food to match. Each of our dishes were wonderful. Good wine list. Great place to meet friends for dinner. We are looking forward to returning in another week.

We ate here during restaurant week. Menu was quite good and had a range of wonderful choices. I had the turnip soup, the lamb and the cheese plate. Nice portions and well prepared. Service was fine - not great. my dining partner had to have second choices on both his wine and entree choices because they were "out" ---

I have previously eaten here for dinner on prior trips which has always been excellent but this was my first time having breakfast. Service is excellent, coffee was endless and offered quickly and the corned beef hash with poached eggs one of the best corned beef hashes that I have enjoyed. Served with lots of toast, butter and preserves and... More

Kimpton hotels always seem to partner with local talent to have great restaurants on site. While DC is a competitive dining town with a lot of exceptional dining options, Bistro Bis does well to still be a solid option among a crowded field.

Bistro Bis is a classic DC fine dining restaurant with a penchant for local ingredients and frequented by politicos. The environment is upscale, yet comfortable, and the service is appropriately scaled to the caliber of the food and clientele. It's not cheap, but well worth the expense. Be sure to make a reservation.

Dined here with our party of 4 on the same evening we checked into the Hotel George. We enjoyed classic French bistro food, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Pan-seared duck breast, sweetbreads, butternut squash, seared scallops and fine wines. Service was very attentive and skilled as well. The wine list is pricey, but we expected that. For a special occasion... More

Very refined upscale just steps from Union Station. A very nice splurge if and when you are out in Washington with your spouse/partner/MO.

This is a lovely French inspired restaurant in the George Hotel on E Street. The food was on the pricey side- but was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their entrees. The waitstaff was attentive, and they provided complimentary petit fours with our coffee. The desserts were great.

I think of Bistro Bis mainly as a work breakfast place, but I've tried it out for lunch a few times, and overall, it's a fine location for a business lunch, but it's overpriced there are better French restaurants in DC. Even though this restaurant is technically located inside a hotel, I get the sense that most of the diners... More

It was close to our hotel and we gave a try, but the staff was rude, the tables and carpet were dirty and some of the breakfast was over by 10 am. We didn't enjoy eating here
