Intrigued by the restaurant description and recommendations from several friends, we snagged an early reservation on a Thursday night. The vibe was electric, the service was crisp and the food...well, the food was a tasty adventure with the chef's "tasting" menu (10 dishes PLUS dessert). Let's just say it started with sous-vide watermelon, eggplant, followed by octopus, scallops, and chicken,... More

This restaurant used to be my favorite restaurant in the entire Washington DC Area. My wife and I would drive from Centreville VA into DC just to eat at this restaurant for the past 7 years at least twice a month. We have never had a bill less than $150 for the two of us. We always recommended it highly... More

My husband and I have enjoyed Jose Andres's Oyamel restaurant for several years but convinced ourselves to try Zaytinya recently for dinner. We didn't get around to booking a table for Friday dinner until Thursday, and only early reservations were left, so we we took one for 5:15. The restaurant was definitely bustling by 5:30, with a good mix of... More

The bread. Need I say more? Their wine selection is perfect and their servers know what they are doing. You never feel neglected here. It's just a perfect spot for feeling fancy and the atmosphere is beautiful. I highly recommend the yogurt dipping sauce and let the servers tell you what's good. They are as professional as it gets for... More

Food: amazing. Absolutely delicious. Great place for business lunch or leisurely meal with friends or date. A little pricey so maybe better for special occasion. Many great options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike!

We made lunch reservations for Zaytinya while we were visiting the area. We love this type of cuisine and Zaytinya did a great job with the items we ordered. It is pricy but worth it for a nice experience. It is definitely a hip place to be and even though it was just lunch, it was packed. It looked like... More

This is a fun restaurant. We saw a number of large groups at the restaurant and they seemed to handle large groups with little difficulty. We ate outside. Inside is "energetic" or "loud" depending on what you like. The mezze were fun and delicious. We really like the fried eggplant, and the calamari. The octopus was interesting; we also ordered...
