Traditional middle eastern fare in a trendy, modern setting with great service. We ordered a wide variety of menu items and every single one was delicious. Only small complaint is that the hummus came out long after everything else had been enjoyed. Desserts were delightful as well. Most definitely looking forward to visiting again next time we are in DC.

Zaytinya specializes in small plates of delicious middle-eastern dishes, which can be shared. The food is well prepared and presented and the service is great. There is seating inside and outside (under a very large canopy). Outside is very pleasant on a nice day. If you are there for lunch, you can visit the National Portrait Gallery, which is across... This place is authentic and fantastic! It was difficult to choose what to order because there were so many great choices. The hummus was amazing of course. Our food closely matched the tastes I've had in the Middle East and there was even Turkish coffee at the end!

We did the sampling plates during Restaurant Week and every dish was delightfully flavorful. The wait staff was very helpful as well. I'm docking my review by one point only because it is a very crowded, noisy place, however, that seems to be the norm for D.C.

the price was definately right. was a little concerned about getting what they call "mezza" portions (a bit smaller) but my wife and i were completely filled up by the time we left. i highly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a nice night out.

Zaytinya has a great sampling of quality Middle Eastern and Greek foods. Their small plates are great to share and the full bar has a great array of creative drinks, which makes this the ideal place for some drinks and appetizers with friends. However, making a full meal out of it would probably require at least 3-4 dishes per person... More

Our hotel (George) highly recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had a great waiter that was very helpful and informative. The food was absolutely delicious, with lots of flavour! Keep in mind that it is small portions - mezze size so you pick as many dishes you wish to sample. Nice warm pita to accompany your choices.... More

Friends surprised us with this elegant bistro as our last stop before heading home. Delightful, delicious varieties of unusual foods presented in delectable ways. Staff was friendly and professional. Well worth it if you like Greek, Spanish and Mediterranean cuisines.

We had a lovely lunch on the patio. They have parachute-like umbrellas that provide nice shade. I was pleased to see so many vegetarian options!!!

The best part of this place is the space: the restaurant is a huge, vaulted room with tons of light. The bar goes on for miles and is modern. The patio is great and doesn't feel like you're eating on a sidewalk since it's its own space. Service was slow; I think we were sitting for 10 minutes before anyone... More
