I'm usually not a fan of tapas or mezze, but I really enjoyed Zaytinya. The food was excellent and it has a great atmosphere. I will definitely go back! more

This is a great place for a casual tapas dinner. Yes, many there are dressed to the nines but you don't have to. It is tapas style Mediterranean fare. Very good wine selection and the food is excellent. Highly recommend it for both meat eaters and veggies. more

A fun must-try located in Chinatown neighborhood. Large restaurant with a very busy bar scene at happy hour. However the patio is nice and quiet :) The greek influenced tapas from Chef Mike Izabella (Top Chef contestant on BRAVO Fall of '09) are fabulous but after ordering many it can get a bit pricey, however the pricing is comparable for... more

We stopped at Zaytinya on the way back to our hotel after a long day's sightseeing. The restaurant was lively and busy but we were quickly seated and served. The menu has an excellent range of mezze and we sampled more than a few. They were all delicious! The service was friendly and attentive - highly recommended more

Turkey's answer to Spanish tapas, the mezze. We sampled a few Turkish small plates and after racking up a stunning bill (as in any tapas bar from New York to Madrid), I wasn't that annoyed at the $85 lunch tab. We both really enjoyed it. The hummus, babaghannouge (or how ever you spell it) were great. The imam bayildi was... more

Been there twice and everytime you have to wait for a table, sometime a whole hour. They direct you to the bar and forget you completely, you have to go back to the host 3 times and ask the same question "How long do we have to wait" and again they tell you "we'll come and get you" but they... more

I knew that Zaytinya was going to be good - but I was completely blown away by just how good it was. I went with a group from our office who ordered lots of tapas-sized dishes to share. Every dish - without exception - was flavorful and memorable. We just didn't want any of the dishes to end. Great variety... more

Ate here last month with my wife, my son and his friend while visiting in Washington. It was my wife's first choice and I was only luke-warm on the idea. But WOW-- Zatinya knocked my socks off. Tapas-sized dishes served from a huge (and hugely imaginative) menu. From the killer grilled octopus, delicious snails, veal sweetbreads, fried squid, swordfish, scallops,... more
