We made lunch reservations for Zaytinya while we were visiting the area. We love this type of cuisine and Zaytinya did a great job with the items we ordered. It is pricy but worth it for a nice experience. It is definitely a hip place to be and even though it was just lunch, it was packed. It looked like... More

We went with 2 other couples and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The menu is Mediterrean and small plates are served with fabulous drinks! A very fun place in DC!

This is a fun restaurant. We saw a number of large groups at the restaurant and they seemed to handle large groups with little difficulty. We ate outside. Inside is "energetic" or "loud" depending on what you like. The mezze were fun and delicious. We really like the fried eggplant, and the calamari. The octopus was interesting; we also ordered... The food is absolutely delicious, with opportunity to order 2-3 small dishes and try different food. Waiters are super friendly. We've been to Zaytinya twice during our 2 DC visits in past 4 years, experience has been superb both times. The table needs to be booked in advance though.

This restaurant was recommended by a colleague. We were not disappointed. It isn't cheap, but the quality is evident. Beautifully plated; unique offerings; very tasty. Clearly the chef takes pride in his/her work.

As many reviewers have already said, an excellent restaurant with excellent service - we had the chef's suggestions. Excellent meze starters, fish, meat and sweets. For $50 per head I am not sure if it was good value for money but it was an excellent introduction to the restaurant. Next time I will choose my own food though. They only... More

Some friends and I were wandering around in DC hoping to find a good local place where we could maybe have a glass of wine outside. We happened upon this place, and it was a great find! We obviously didn't have reservations, but were seated within 30 min on a weekend, which I didn't think was bad at all. The... More

I feel like I am on upscale Greek island when at Zaytinya and keep coming back w/ friends and hubby as we love Mediterranean culture and of course food. Great Place to network.

The food here is phenomenal. As a picky eater I never thought I would like "exotic" food as one review described. I will say that some menu changes have disappointed me in recent years. The chicken shish kabob used to be all white meat, then you had an option to pay more for the white versus dark meat, but now... More

Zaytinya is near my office, so I often go there for lunch or drinks. I find the food reliably good, as do lots of reviewers, but diners have to enjoy Mediterranean-style small plates. (It's not for everyone.) Ordering the dishes separately can get pricey. At lunchtime they offer a "mezze" menu with options for 3 courses plus dessert for $25.... More
