The prices are right for a decent dinner. The chimichanga was good, but the black bean burrito was mediocre. It was not busy at all, so food was quick.

Have been here many times over the course of the past decade. Always a solid and enjoyable lunch spot. The waiters are friendly and the service is excellent. Meals are very good and you can depend on getting there, having lunch and returning to work within the hour. Love La Lomita Dos!

This place is by far a definite over-looker by many. I was craving Mexican food after watching an episode of Man vs. Food. I Googled Mexican restaurants near me and this place popped up. Only 5 minutes from my house....I honestly wasn't expecting much. I ordered the beef nachos and chicken fajita. Let me say that this place serves GOOD... More

We wouldn't normally choose Mexican to eat, but it is close to our Hotel (Capitol Hill Hotel). We read the mixed reviews and wondered what we would get. The service was very good, seated quickly, water at our table and a bowl of tortilla chips and salsa. We tried both the sangria and standard margarita (both half pitchers). They were... More

La Lomita Dos, about three blocks from the Capitol, is a local favorite, especially for families with children. It has thrived for decades. The food is tasty (but filling) and reasonably priced. There is quite a variety typical Mexican food, with beef, chicken, shrimp, and vegetarian as the basis. It is a small restaurant, but festively decorated. of Mexican beers... More

Nothing fancy here. This place has been around longer than I can remember. The family that owns the joint is very friendly and want you to enjoy your meal. I always do.

I use to go to the one located at 13th and Penn, the level of food and service has seriously decreased. We decided to check out this location. BAD IDEA!! A roach crawled across the wall next to our table, my friend took his napkin to kill it. I got the waiters attention and showed him what happen, the waiter... More

We've eaten at La Lomita a few times since we first discovered it about a year ago. The food is good and the value, for a restaurant on Pennsylvania Avenue on Capital Hill, is even better. We've found the service to be very friendly and speedy. A salad lover, I generally get the fajita salad and often take half of... More

I have been here 2 or 3 times, most recently for a work lunch. The food is decent and prices are good. The service is fine but nothing really stands out. You will be full when you leave and probably won't have anything to complain about, but also nothing to write home about.

Food is only average - not much spice or flavours. They must have standard salad and rice on each plate waiting and then add the dish you order. Service cant be faulted though. We didn't have the sizzling plates and they looked good so maybe it was the food we ordered.
