Tasty healthy option in DC

We're from the West Coast and used to lots of fresh veggies and fruits and interesting tastes. There isn't a lot of that in downtown DC so we were glad to find Teasim. The soups we ordered were very flavorful and the prices were reasonable compared to DC.

We stopped by here for some bubble tea while waiting for reservations at a nearby restaurant. The Zenzhou pearls tea is the only item we tried, but it was great. The tea isn't watered down like many other places and is full of flavor.

My friend and I have been going to Teaism for lunch at least once a week for oh, about four years now. I will get to the food (which is amazing, especially for the price). Seriously, I love this place, and of all the venues around the city, this one is my favorite. The dining area downstairs gets quite busy... More

TripAdvisor lists three of the four Teaism branches, but oddly misses out this one although it is not new. The three I have eaten at (all but the newest one in Alexandria) have good food and basically the same menu. What distinguishes each is location and decor. Dupont is in a townhouse, Lafayette Square is a small cafe, and this... More

Tried this place for the first time. Was very pleasantly surprised. Fits the formula of the new trend in "fast casual". You order at the desk, then pick up your food when it is ready 10 min or so later. The ground floor has an atmosphere almost like a Starbucks, but the seating downstairs is much nicer. Far better than... More

This is one of the best places to eat by the Mall. Every time is a good experience. The food is honest, simple food. Each time I visit, I wonder why I did not eat there sooner...

This is a great escape from all the loud, scene restaurants in Penn Quarter. This two floor tea shop and restaurant has ample seating downstairs, is quiet and has a Koi pond. Food is good and affordable and the dining area is calm/quiet. This is not a table service restaurant and that may be a deterrent, but don't let it... More

The menu has a variety of different warm and cold teas as well as tea infused food choices. Try the tamarind tea, it's delicious- sweet and slightly sour. I also had the green gazpacho which wasn't bad.

We enjoyed the variety of food and beverage offerings. Each dish used fresh ingredients and we were served quickly.

Excellent Crab cake sandwich-- and the broccoli that it comes with is scrumptious! I'm still trying to recreate it at home.
