Vace - easy access to a slice of pizza, an Italian cold cut sub (delicios, by the way), or a variety of frozen pastas, meatless and meatful Lasagne..

We stopped here after the morning at the zoo. Great subs, freshly made and quick. Very reasonably priced and friendly staff. Tip: they don't have seating so everything is to go. We found a nearby bench and ate was perfect.

I love visiting Vace. The staff are always friendly, even when they're busy. Ring ahead unless you're planning to buy by the slice. They have a decent selection of Italian wines for reasonable prices too - white, sparkling, rose and red. The tiramisu is frozen but delicious (leave out for 30 miutes before serving) - I've only bought the large... More

just a few blocks up Connecticut Ave from the zoo is Vace's Italian Deli; mostly a specialty store for fresh Italian food products with no place to sit, this is great kid friendly grown up sophisticated takeout. Fabulous pizza by the slice or a whole pie thin crust or Neapolitan squares; great sandwiches. this morning I scored a spinach and... More

This is a classic and great authentic Italian Deli. They have a store in Cleveland Park and another in Bethesda. They offer pizza and subs as well as authentic Italian pastas, sauces, cheeses and cold cuts. Fresh Italian bread is available but sells out quickly.

Ok....I have been coming here for pizza since 2001 and I've ordered them the same way FOR YEARS !!! Half-baked and not cut....so I can drive back home to Virginia and then finish cooking them in the oven and have hot pizza...So...it was a Sunday....a day for those of you who don't know means that your pizza order has to... This is basically like visiting a deli so expect to wait to get your delicious sandwich, pizza, deli meats, etc. Great price and delicious freshly made pasta and sausages are amongst my personal faves.

I wanted a slice of pizza, so I looked at the different ones on display. Lots of tomato paste topping but no mozzarella cheese to be found. When I complained, the woman behind the counter said she does not speak English. Overall, the shop looks old and decrepit and needs a good scrubbing and cleanup. Shame on you Vace.

I was looking all over DC for a great cannoli. My husband's from NYC, and all he wanted for his birthday was a cannoli. Vace had it- fresh made sweet ricotta with little chocolate chips filled to order. The classic cannoli. They also have great pizza if you want a quick slice. We've also bought their fresh pastas several times,... More
