I live around the corner from Maple and for the first couple years it was open I only stopped in once for a glass of wine. That was a mistake. Finally, I went in for dinner about about two months ago. I have since been back five times. My girlfriend calls Maple my restaurant crush because I keep going back... More

The long freestanding Maple bar is a great shared wine and dine table or settle into a cozy private table tucked along the wall. The nouveau Italian cuisine is deliciously authentic with Italian wine varietals decoded, "if you like Syrah, then you might like..." Tender pasta in rich ragu, tender sweet scallops with creamy farro risotto, finished with with gelato... More

Upscale and trendy. This new place has a decent wine list and adequate selections of wine by the glass. Dinner was for four and we were quickly seated upstairs. Don't leave without trying the olives starter and caponata. The pork appetizer is delish but not quite enough for 4. We would have ordered a 2nd if not for the entrees... More

Dinner for 8, dining inside, little noisy early but pleasant. Food very well prepared, tasty, and service excellent. Looks can deceive as decor very plain and does not seat many. Would go back tomorrow for pork belly appetizer and pasta dishes!!!

I got the Fennel / Citrus salad to start and the Pesto Gnocchi as my main, and wow, was this meal ever delicious. I can still taste it! Lemon Pellegrino was a nice added touch to the meal.

Very nice neighborhood restaurant. Columbia Heights. Wandered in just as they were opening. Happy hour greeted us. $4.00 glass of wine. $10.00 old fashioned. The BAR is a great attraction. Wait person was just lovely. Food was good. Not outstanding, but good. We tried a new scallop entree. Good favors but too few scallops. Strawberry rhubarb crisp was fabulous as... More

We experienced unpleasant meals and atmosphere. Our food, both dishes, were bathed in onions to the point that it made us sick. The seating was so cramped my legs brushed those sitting to the right and left of me at the next tables. Food-wise, The bruschetta was lovely, and I recommend the charcuterie plate as well. It was also very,... More

We frequent maple and came for our 1 year anniversary. The service was ok and the food took ages and was covered in onions. We complained about this without apology. Very disappointing considering the expensive experience on a special night.

I prefer 11th street restaurants to those on 14th. They're more original and offer better quality food without a doubt. I had a delicious brunch at Maple and am eager to go back. The food was delicious and the coffee strong. My only reservation is the seating. It's really cramped and loud... So much so that I'd only go on... More

I have eaten here once before and had an enjoyable meal. The experience last night, however, was so bad, that I want to comment. Getting a seat immediately was no problem. The tables, however, are so close together that it is impossible not to here the conversations of those around you. So be careful what you say. Cocktails and appetizers... More
