Love eating at Charlie Palmer Steak, both times we visited we had Mark as our server & his attention to detail was impeccable. I love the cowboy cut bone in rib-eye, its so delicious!! We loved the lobster, blue crab, hen of the woods mushrooms & potatoes just to name a few items we ordered. The grappa was smooth &... More

My old college roommate and I met for lunch and wanted to avoid the old food trucks we were used to (it had been 30+ years). We both went for the price fixe lunch ($25) and with soft drinks and tip the bill ran close to $80. Some will think this is reasonable for a small appetizer, a small main... More

Charlie Palmer Steak is a cut above your average classic DC steakhouse. Excellent food, fresher decor than the dark wood and leather booths at most steakhouses.

I went here last week for a business dinner. There were about a dozen of us at dinner. The service was really good and the appetizers and dessert were interesting and tasted great. That's one thing I did like about this restaurant, they had options that were a little more interesting and unique than some steakhouses. The filet is "European... More

The appetizers were good. The steaks were very good. Price was decent ($210 for two, including drinks). Unfortunately, the service left alot to be desired. We knew what we wanted to drink when we walked in the door, and the first drinks hit the table 28 minutes after we were seated. Not good. We didn't order wine, and after an... More

I ate here at a business dinner and we had a private dining room. The service was very good from the welcome through to the dessert. The atmosphere was good and the private dining room are really just off to the side with a glass wall to the dining room. The food however was pretty average. I had a filet,... More

You would be hard pressed to have a meal at Charlie Palmer"s Steak without rubbing elbows with some senator, congressman, pundit or power broker. Great views if the Capital, too. Menu us steakhouse chic and really good. Expertly prepared fish and meat dishes will leave you asking wanting to book a return visit at the earliest possible date.

Service was very good but the food was disappointing given the reputation of the chef. Pretty much everything was just a notch above Outback but at a much higher price.

Recommended by the W this is a must stop anytime we are in DC? Great food, well marbled steaks and unique parings make this a treat in any book. W had the filet and the bone in ribeye as well as Carolina spiced shrimp. Visit you will enjoy. And did I mention the straight on view of the he capital... More
