This is certainly the best deal in town ! I have been told that they will close down or relocate. Let's hope we shall still be able to enjoy the food at Burma restaurant in the future.

One of my favorite DC restaurants! Persistence can pay off -- not everything is good, so it might take a few times for you to know what to order (stay away from anything that you think you could possibly get in a Chinese restaurant), but the sour mustard entree and the salads (especially tofu salad and green tea salad) are... This restaurant is small, reasonably priced, and convenient. The food is good, but not great. I am not an expert on Burmese food, but I think the food here has been watered down to some degree. Having said that, I eat alot of Asian food and my wife grew up in Thailand, so I am more familiar with Thai food.... More

I hadn't eaten here for some years. There's better Burmese in the area (Mandalay in Silver Spring), but here I was one night and thought I would try again. The place is mediocre as I recall. A noodle dish was boring. Mango pork was a bit better, but still too one dimensional. A fried shrimp appetizer was the best thing... More

We went here for dinner while in town for the weekend. It's in walking distance to some of the sites and things to do in downtown DC (the Verizon Building, Ford's Theater, etc). Wasn't crowded when we got there, but it definitely picked up. Got seated right away and were able to put orders in. Food came out hot and... More

The restaurant is conveniently located near the major sites of interest. The service was good and fast. I ordered the fish tamarind, the fish portion was huge and it came with a bowl of rice. Overall it needed more seasoning. The price however was very reasonable.

I first happened upon Burma Restaurant with my sister on a trip where we met in DC. After touring the Botanical Gardens, several memorials and numerous other sites we were tired, cold and in need of soothing sustenance. The line to get in was quite long but moved amazingly fast and when were seated we were promptly served our beverage... More

We enjoyed the food - the green tea salad and the bean curd entree were great. Service was fine, atmosphere was fine, but the food was outstanding.

A simple but good restaurant with good food. Burma is the former name of the current republic of Myanmar a country that has received many influences from neighboring countries in its culinary, like Thailand, India and China, and this can be felt in the dishes that are served. Overall, the food is not remarkable, but it's worth the experience in... More
