My boyfriend and I were in Georgetown for the afternoon, and after dinner, I wanted to find some cupcakes. He googled "cupcakes in Georgetown" to find an alternative bakery, because I did not want to stand in line at one of the better known shops. Long story short, neither of us were disappointed. They are a little pricey, but worth... More

Whenever my boyfriend and I are in Georgetown, we usually hit this place. He absolutely loves the fig newtons but he's such a coffee snob that this is the only place he will have his coffee other than Dean & Deluca. To be sure, the coffee is great, yes, but I drink their Chai tea which is also very good.... More

it's small, quaint, and has killer cupcakes that aren't meant to make it out the door. I would walk the 10 minutes each way from the GWU Metro stop just to get my fix

We stood in line (line moves fast)- cupcakes are good. Not sure what else to say about it. I'm just not entirely positive if I took a blind cupcake taste test, I'd swoon over the B&W cupcakes over say, any other good cupcakes. Bottom line, if you're walking by the place- by all means, eat up. But to head to... More

I'm not usually a cupcake fan. If I'm at one of these cupcake venues it's normally that one of our daughters has taken us there or we have family visiting and they're curious about it. It was the latter case this time, with our German nephew in town. We stood in a relatively fast moving line on a Friday afternoon... More

Forget Georgetown Cupcakes. This is the real deal. Local spot with great deserts and excellent coffee. A fun place to hang for some music as well!

I hesitate to write this, because the line is already long, and fame destroyed that better known cupcake place. But fair is fair, these folks do it right.

Just a short walk off of M street in Georgetown and right off the canal (fun tour if you have time). Friendly staff and delicious cupcakes with just the right frosting to cake ratio. There is a oomfy seating area in the back and free water. Also, a nice clean restroom which was much appreciated - none of the shops... More

We walked into a very busy atmosphere but service was friendly and fast. We ordered a cupcake and a few slides of quiche. All was good and we took it down to the river and ate on one of the benches. It was a great way to start the day.

Excellent choices with lovely atmosphere. No rush to choose which was a refreshing change from so many bakeries. Nicely displayed and staff knew all about the cupcakes and small selection of other items. It was welcoming for a ll ages and people say reading books and enjoying cake it wa great. Good prices and complimentary water was nice. The use... More
