great cupcakes, quiche and coffee

I make a point to come here whenever I'm in DC. I usually just get cupcakes, which are delicious (and large). My favorites is the chocolate satin - vanilla cupcake with chocolate frosting. On my last trip I had breakfast - a slice of ham and gruyere cheese quiche and a latte. Both were excellent.

We went here based on trip advisor reviews and did not want to wait hours at Georgetown cupcake. We went with a local who told us this was a family owned business & all cupcakes were made on the premises versus Georgetown cupcake. At any rate, I had the strawberry cupcake at it was very good. Was fresh and cakes... More

We visited B&W following the good reviews. Can someone please tell me what the hype is about? Yes the coffee is good. But the pastries are far too sweet. Maybe it’s my European taste, but in Europe no one would try B&Ws pastries twice. Far too much sugar. I had the strawberry cake. The pastry itself was excellent = 5*s,... More

We really enjoyed our visit here. We got there at closing and they let us stay late & served us even after closing. The strawberry cupcakes was fabulous but the s'mores bar and apricot bar was amazing! Loved them both!

While in Georgetown, we thought we'd try Baked and Wired. The coffee was delicious, cupcakes were ok but a little pricy. Seating indoors is a little awkward and limited. Maybe more little tables and chairs instead of couches would work better. I guess it's not a big deal if the weather's ok though - it was cold when we were... More

We visited D.C. over spring break and stayed at a hotel on the same street. As we were driving up Thomas Jefferson on the way to our hotel on a Sunday afternoon, we saw an enormous line for Baked and Wired. At that moment I made a mental note to visit there. When I awoke early Monday morning, I strolled... More

Discovered this place 3 years ago and will always visit when in DC. The coffee is excellent. My expresso is always well prepared. The array of cakes is spectacular and all taste delicious. Such a great find and always well worth a visit

There's two prominent cupcake/bakery places in Georgetown that have long lines streaming out the door...but only one of them has a line made up of mostly locals! Baked and Wired isn't all Hollywood, with its own TV show, and it doesn't need to be: the baked goods here are amazing (and made by REAL hipsters ;)) some favorites are the... More

When planning our trip to Washington, Georgetown Cupcakes was on my list of "Must DO". The line was ridiculously long when we went our first evening and I didn't want to make my family wait in line so that I could have just one cupcake. A friend messaged me on FB telling me to check out Baked and Wired instead.... More
