Medium size drinks, major cost, great barmaid!

I’m early for an appointment so I stop for a drink in the middle of Union station. Only two sisters from Florida, going back there in the sleeping car, at the bar(I feel sorry for them, temperature already too high in that part of the world). Barmaid very friendly and efficient, knows her jokes... read more

This wonderful location in the exact center of the Main Hall at Washington, D.C.'s Union Station, used to be called ?America's," which a signature dish from each state. It was great food, great service and very good prices. I had not been there in years, so met a friend from out of town there...the set up is the same, on... More

While waiting for my train, I had an early supper in the Café. It is a people-watching place par excellence. I asked the waiter if I wanted crab cakes or the much less expensive chicken pot pie for the main course; he recommended the latter and it was delicious. A good martini began the meal, a glass of beer accompanied... More

Grabbed a bite here for lunch as seeing family off at the train station. Service was good. We had Shrimp Cocktail and Oysters Rockefeller both of which were just fine. We both had the salmon salad with quinoa and citrus. It was a nice sized portion, very tasty and the salmon was perfectly cooked. All in all was just fine.... More

We met for a leisurely lunch. The food was excellent without being gourmet; the service was intermittent (but friendly when it was on); the ambiance was train station din (but not so loud that we couldn't hear each other). And our table, right in the middle of the station, felt a bit like sitting in an office cubicle (temporary partial... More

Took a late afternoon break from touring the capital. Located in the main hall of Union Station. Good drinks. Yummy nachos. Attentive service.

There are not a lot of restaurants around Union station, and even fewer open on a Sunday evening. Having had a decent lunch in Georgetown by the Potomac, we only wanted a simple bite to eat with a drink. We shared the substantial cheeseboard and had a beer each and it suited us perfectly. It was clean, the service was... More

Good place for breakfast. I had the bacon, cheese, and egg croissant sandwich. It was very tasty, and the service was great. Worth a stop if your looking for a breakfast at, or near union station.

I believe that employees of this restaurant stole my purse. I had lunch with 3 friends at the Center Cafe in Union Statoin Washington DC on July 6, 2014. During lunch, my purse was stolen. The restaurant was quiet, with hardly any other tables occupied. No one sat near us. We were far from the outer edges of the restaurant,... More
