Delicious food in a bohemian French style

This is a lovely restaurant, French European-style, in the bohemian neighborhood of Washington DC of Dupont Circle. The food is simple, but very delicious. They have a great wine list, mainly French. The service is fast. I recommend making a prior reservation because it is always full. It is ideal... read more

We went here with about 8-9 people. The environment was fun and energetic. The mussels were AMAZING! We also had a great bottle of wine. We leave outside of the city so this was in some ways 'staycation' but I want to go back just to have dinner.

The French Onion soup was fantastic. I loved the filet mignon. And the Cremé Brûlée was delicious. The service was great. I will return when in the area.

The number one thing I will remember about this restaurant is that it was LOUD. It is very large, crowded, and they pack the tables together. It was so loud that the waiter could not hear us order. The food is pretty good, but the service is quite fast. Drinks, appetizers, and entrees were complete in less than an hour.... More

Their Magrets de Canard was delicious. My friend got steak, which was a bit tough for a medium rare. The ambience is very casual and nice but a bit too loud. The place is very popular and you might want a reservation to avoid long waits.

My friends have been singing the praises of their roquefort mussels for months, to the point that we started to get concerned they were overselling them. Not true...and not possible. They are SO amazing. We got a large pot of the roquefort and a large pot of the more basic (but still delicious!) manière to balance. Considering we started with... More

I'm usually, in no way, a stickler of sorts and I generally prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt. But from the moment I walked in, to the moment I left, my visit there was of an uncomfortable and unpleasant one. My husband and I had been walking around the city of DC all day during a visit/vacation... More

We had to make a dinner choice on the fly and this was close by and convenient. Would I build an evenings plan around dining here--no. This establishment definitely delivers on atmosphere and reasonable prices. We only tried 2 menu items so hard to say what else might have been more enjoyable but I've certainly had better. Menu is long... More

Had dinner here with friends over the weekend. This is an authentic French restaurant. Our waitress (Marielle) was delightful! Everyone's food was wonderful - we had beef and chicken dishes. Their wine list is also great! It's a very busy place, so we would certainly recommend a reservation.

This is a crowded, bustling and very authentic French restaurant though not exactly like any bistro I've encountered in France itself. Very good menu selections and well prepared and presented. Our waiter was a hoot and very attentive and responsive. You'll be seated right next to the adjacent table so be ready to make new friends. No problem! The crowd... More
