Tried something new and was not dissapointed

We would never choose to go to French restaurant on our own --but a friend recommended this restaurant to my boyfriend and I. I just experienced the most rude waiter experience of my life at Bistro Du Coin. On top of that, the food was mediocre and over priced. There are so many great dining options in Dupont Circle; do not waste your time here!

I visited over a weekend and had a fabulous dinner around 11:00 pm on a Friday. I enjoyed the mussels and a steak for the main. Both dishes were expertly prepared and very high quality. I will return the next time I visit town. I would highly recommend the place if you are visiting the DuPont circle area.

Dinner itself was average, duck was fatty and flaccid, and lacking on presentation. Service was impersonal and rushed. Seating is very tight.

My daughter took us here for a light dinner. We had a selection of starters, including two different plates of mussels, pate, frites, and a small pasta casserole. Plenty for three people. French wine, of course. Then we decided on one of their many desserts. It was all very good, as was the service. Walking distance from the Washington Hilton.

Great French place with real authentic French culinary. Definitely can't be disappointed about great selection of the food, the biggest mussels selection ever.

Normally crowded and loud, but everyone is enjoying themselves. The food is good but it is the rich and sometimes fatty variety you expect from a Paris bistro. The service also attempts to transport you there so you know what to expect.

We felt like we were back in Paris! From the setting, the staff, and the menu it was a great experience! We ordered the escargot, mussels, and a Roquefort salad for appetizers and they were amazing! Our entrées were just as good as the appetizers. We had the House Steak and Frites, Steak Tartare, and one other steak dish (the... More

This is one of my favorites French places in DC. I come often and it is always great. Try the escargots and onion soup. All mussels are super tasty, specially the Roquefort one. Ambiance is nice.
