We stopped in early because we knew how busy this restaurant in DuPont Circle gets later in the evening. Started off with some wine and the pate du campagne (sorry, no accents on this keyboard), moved into a starter to share with some succulent mussels and ended with the steak and frites. Our waiter was obliging and informative. The pacing... More

I brought a group of 30 people to this boisterous French restaurant a few blocks from DuPont Circle. We were allowed to order off the menu (not common for larger groups). The food was wonderful. Everyone had a great time. Yes, it was loud. A bit hard to hear at times. But the service was good and the food was... More

Our party of 5 had a delightful brunch on a lovely Saturday afternoon. I had Maryland crabcake in the style of eggs benedict. Could have used more hollandaise sauce but still delicious. Others in our party had mussels or omelettes. For dessert, we split an apple tarte and a lemon tarte. Both good. Fabulous baguette and butter. Other than one... More

Quite a bit of variety on the menu here. I had the beef bourgignon, others in our party had the mussels and the hanger steak with shallots. Everyone enjoyed their food. Wine by the glass seemed a bit spendy, but otherwise the prices seemed reasonable. Service was decent. The room has a high ceiling and the noise level was rather... More

Excellent example of good bistros found all over France but sadly lacking in US. All the French comfort food is here...excellent steak frite with Bearnaise sauce, mussels, salads that make you remember why we eat them. Good reasonable wine choices.

This is obviously a very popular place -- the decor is attractive, it's in a great location, and there are a lot of appealing choices on the menu. But when it comes to the food -- ugh. We had to send everything back --my dish was cold and my husband's wasn't cooked. The service was bad -- we were given... More

The best part about this restuarant is the atmosphere. They squeezed in as many tables as possible, in true French tradition, and the feel of the restaurant was lively, loud and relaxed. It was cozy and fun and slightly romantic. I give the feel of this place a 5/5, you could tell is a neighborhood favorite. The food was a... More

This was a classic French bistro popular with LOCALS and tourists alike. The staff was very good, great prices, and the food was very good. The wine list was good and reasonably priced. Our server was very good and attentive despite being extremely busy. I would recommend trying them on your next visit.

Bistrot du coin has its mussel festival and they are really good, plump and plentiful. We each had our own, Mariniere and Provinçal. Very friendly and helpful servers It is a bit noisy, but that is what a bistro is all about.

Went with a group of people and we were all very pleased with our meal. The restaurant is located in the Dupont Circle area and an easy walk from the metro station or area hotels. We were there around 6 pm and it wasn't overly crowded. The service was excellent. I enjoyed the ravioles but others had veal, lamb or... More
