Raucous & Delicious

My husband and I came for dinner (with a reservation). Were seated promptly. We each enjoyed a salad, some french onion soup, and shared a pot of mussels and fries. The atmosphere was friendly, noisy and festive. Reminded me of Europe!

Food was so very good. Extensive menu with choices for every taste. Deserts were decadent. We will return next time we visit DC.

I come to this bistro every time I visit DC, it's very Dupont and the food is great. Very juicy and authentic steaks, and the ambience is lively and fun. A bit noisy at times, and the service can be a bit spotty, but the food all but makes up for it. Well worth the wait.

The atmosphere is hard to match outside of France. Good bistro food served quickly and by friendly staff.

I love this place every time I go here. The food is decadent, teh service is friendly and the ambiance is great. It is a crowded, fun restaurant that has a wonderful lively feel. I could eat their mussels and escargot daily...

There wasn't a single thing that I didn't love about this restaurant. I visited on a dreary rainy day and felt like I had stepped into the streets of Paris. Since I was alone they sat me at a very tiny (but charmingly so) table near the window, so I had a great view of a Saturday evening crowd bustling... More

Bistrot du Coin has been in Dupont for many years and used to be a great and inexpensive place to have a late night meal. Recently, however, the prices have gone up and it is quite loud and crowded.

One of my favorite "corner bistros" (though not on the corner but in the middle of the DuPont Circle district,) the food is consistently good, the waiters sufficiently surly, and the atmosphere just what it should be for this type of eatery. However, today I was disappointed with the soupe de moules safranée enough that it required comment. All of... More

A little bit of France near DuPont Circle. Wonderful omelettes and Benedicts. Service very French also; a little brusque and a little inattentive, but oh those duck fat fries.

Best Sunday brunch choice ever. So many wonderful French "comfort foods" it was hard to know whether to have breakfast or lunch. Since it was snowing, our waiter helped me choose beef Bourginoune stew. Amazing!!! Served over pasta and infused with rich red wine flavor! Even though I couldn't finish it, I still had to try the bittersweet chocolate fondue... More
