We had a really good breakfast here while walking around. It was served piping hot and was delicious. Nice and open seating. Worthwhile.

The noise level in Bistro du Coin was around rock concert level. There was loud pounding bass line music (?) playing. Loud obnoxious music in a French bistro? The natives must enjoy eating in a restaurant in which you have to shout across the table to carry on a conversation. The food was acceptable, not great, but then this is... More

We had very bland meals and found the service to be uninviting. We love French food and based on the reviews were expecting wonderful French cuisine. We had four dinners and all of then lacked flavor and creativity. The hostesses was rude when we asked to be moved from the back table where we didn't have any air flow and... More

there's the old adage of "never trust a restaurant with photos in the menu." throw that out because Bistrot du Coin is one of the best. it's unpretentious, unfussy, rustic French food. I have lived in France and this is easily as close as it gets and I make sure that i schedule a visit here every time i'm in... More

This is a quant place, especially when they open up the front wall to make it an open air cafe. The food was spectacular and the service great. Not cheap though. I had a lovely ravioli dish, and with a salad the small size was great.

This bistrot is quickly becoming one of our favorite places in DC: unpretentious, but with great food, and equally great service. Both my wife and I had the house steak, which we both loved. pair that up with a bottle of a nice Medoc, and you can't go wrong! Prices were a tiny little bit on the high side (especially... More

Went with a friend who had previously eaten here and swore by it. Service was great, seated immediately. My entree was Mergez grillées, version Bistrot. And when it says spicy, they are not joking. I love spice so I thought it was great but be warned. Loved the feel of entire restaurant. Wait staff was extremely accommodating and we could... More

Group of 9 with reservations, seated promptly. Food was definitely mixed: Mussels a featured section on menu; we ordered 3 different preparations: 1 was lacking in flavor, 2 were so-so. 1 diner hit the jackpot: the boeuf bourguingnon was terrific! Service was beyond casual; it was very poor: We had to ask 2 times for a 2nd bottle of wine!... More

I have to say that the food at Bistrot Du Coin is pretty authentic and true to Parisian Bistro fare. This is to be welcomed. What could be left the other side of the Atlantic however is the arrogance of the waiting staff. Yes the place is busy and they're working hard-which equates to large tips-but don't take work frustrations... More
