Authentic Parisian bistro with fantastic food. The service was excellent particularly as we were a large party without a reservation. We were made very welcome and treated to food and wine that wouldn't be out of place on the left bank. Voted top bistro by the Washingtonian three years in a row and it's not difficult to see why. Enjoy!

We came on a Tuesday night thinking "Oh, it's a Tuesday, it won't be too busy." And boy, it was full, which is saying a lot because the place is huge. After reading about the reviews, I came knowing I was going to get the mussels. I thought the catch was very good, not too briney. They seemed fresh. I... More

If you want to have mussels and frites, this is the place Reminds me of the restaurants in Brussels (ala Vincent's). Great portion of mussels with to die for fries. Very good selection of wines and beers along with some really nice cocktails. Prices are very reasonsable (dinner for two with drinks was under $60 (which for DC is a... More

If you are looking for an authentic French bistro or feel like stepping out of the DC norm, Bistro de Coin is the place. After visiting France, I can truly say this place oozes French Bistro. The food, the atmosphere, the French speaking staff...all on-point! You have to make reservations! It gets packed quickly. They stay open late for late... More

Of course, the place was jammed but had a very festive vibe. Unlike many restaurants, they served the full menu which is very extensive. They had two seatings; we had a reservation for the later one and were seated immediately upon arrival. Our steaks arrived so quickly that we had a momentary doubt but both were done as requested to... More

Funky French place in the middle of the city. We arrived and our waiter was very attentive and fast, drinks and coffee came to the table very quick. She stopped by and checked on a few times, very friendly and personable. I had the French toast with berry’s, lots of flavors and lots of whipped cream. Both of the omelets... More

I had not been to Paris in years until we found this place. Truly felt as if I was back in Paris. The atmosphere was French perfection. The menu is huge and everything g we ate was perfect. We were only going to have a drink and something quick, but the smells alone convinced us to stay and indulge and... More

On our way from Dupont Circle, we passed Bistro Do Coin on our way back to the hotel so made a note to try it the following evening. It is a lively place indeed and was fairly full of seemingly local clientele so lucky to get a seat without booking. The extensive menu is typically French with an equally impressive... More
