Exceptional dishes, such as salmon, mussles, and steak; they were so good, that I know I am going back despite some annoyances that I feel compelled to describe. Professional waiter, but the busy scene made his job difficult. I was a little put-off by some aspects of the setting up front, but the food made up for it. #1-we had... More

Just had a mains and pudding - pepper steak and frites and then a chocolate mousse. The mains was fantastic, but the mousse was a little to heavy (for my taste). Very busy restaurant and a little noisy, but a great atmosphere.

Always busy when we went past so we decided to call in. The food is excellent but the Stella is expensive for a small beer. Atmosphere good.

This is an exceptional bistro with a fantastic menu. All the French classics done well. The atmosphere is very Parisian, the owner can been seen throughout, and the food is first class. I will likely be coming back to Bistro du Coin anytime I’m in Washington DC and highly recommend it.

I have been here many times but had not stopped for a Sunday brunch for years. The place, per usual during peak hours, was bustling. Unable to get close to the window area, which is open to the street when weather permits, I was shoehorned into a small table that was most unpleasant. And so, my problems began. I usually... More

We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating and it was fairly quiet. Thus is not an intimate, romantic get away. It was a fun, pleasant restaurant with delicious food. I had the salad with asparagus and artichoke hearts--the dressing was to die for! The ravioli were wonderful! I ordered the small size and was... More

I had the salmon..it was YUMMO! The place was hip and happening (does anyone ever say hip anymore?) and the energy/ambience was just good! The only thing is that I think our server forgot all about us. He took our orders and that was it. We had to ask for our drinks twice, had to keep looking for him to... More

We had a really good breakfast here while walking around. It was served piping hot and was delicious. Nice and open seating. Worthwhile.

The noise level in Bistro du Coin was around rock concert level. There was loud pounding bass line music (?) playing. Loud obnoxious music in a French bistro? The natives must enjoy eating in a restaurant in which you have to shout across the table to carry on a conversation. The food was acceptable, not great, but then this is... More

We had very bland meals and found the service to be uninviting. We love French food and based on the reviews were expecting wonderful French cuisine. We had four dinners and all of then lacked flavor and creativity. The hostesses was rude when we asked to be moved from the back table where we didn't have any air flow and... More
