Our party of three ladies dropped in at noon today. We did not have a reservation, because we had made other plans that fell through. They graciously seated us (although I would recommend making reservations). There are a few tables in the front, next to the deli section. The deli and market had many things I would have been tempted... More

This is just an update from a previous review. We have eaten here several more times for lunch and this restaurant is consistently very good. Service is friendly although can get slow if they are crowded, prices are fair, and the food is good. I just hope they will make their spatzle a little tastier and less doughy.

So, after talking up this restaurant with several of my friends, we all came to do lunch. And it is even better than before. They have made small improvements that are not major but makes the place very relaxing. Started out with a small tomato salad, then on to the Chicken Cordon Blue, with potato salad. Ended with a slice... More

As other reviewers have mentioned, the restaurant is actually behind the storefront. The restaurant itself consists of a small bar and assortment of tables in an intimate space. When I visited, the one television was on mute and classical music was playing lightly from unseen speakers. The place was virtually empty at 8pm on a weeknight- aside from a few... More

Wonderful food and such a surprise! You have to walk through a shop to get to the restaurant which kind of threw us off at first, but it was a wonderful little place. Great value and service.

When you walk in, the restaurant has a delicatessen/bakery as well as a store. In the restaurant, there is intimate seating, a great accordion player and old-world German food. Service is very good. Full German menu, as good as in Germany. Great place to bring coworkers - I saw a few office parties that were having a great time. Don't... More

I had the sauerbraten, red cabbage, spaetzli and a bit of German potato salad. The sauerbraten was perfect, remarkably tender and slices were individually marinated, so the flavor was intense throughout. Red cabbage was flavorful and not mushy. The potato salad was outstanding. I would return just to have that again. My bill, with one draft beer was $30, which... More

Stopped by for breakfast recently and ordered the potato pancakes. Service was extremely slow, getting a second cup of coffee was a chore. Potato pancakes were undercooked and very starchy, thick and soggy served on a bed of wet lettuce. Not very appetizing. Best think was the sour cream and apple sauce. Front of store looked more promising. Might stop... More

I have been to Cafe Mozart several times now. The food is always good and very close to the White House. Tourist have not really found it yet, so i am leery of putting this out here. Business travelers have found it because the place starts to fill up with suits around 7 or so. Great schnitznel, awesome and flavorful... More

Great German food. The sausage sampler, red cabbage and German potato salad were just like grandma used to make. The Mozart cake, fondue and linger torte are also outstanding. The piano player was the icing on the cake(s). Great for kids.
