We ate here recently as it was close to our hotel in Foggy Bottom. The food was excellent and the service was speedy and very friendly. The food was nicely priced with very good portions and the drinks list was extensive, with a lot of beers to choose from. A pianist came in and played towards the end of our... More

From the outside the building didnt even look like a restaurant, more like a shop front. (The selection of German chocolate and candy is the best Ive found in the US!) The restaurant area is in the back past the shop area. It is nicely decorated but what was really amazing was the service! Linda was fantastic. It felt like... More

Went for lunch at a new place I had recently discovered, Cafe Mozart. Fabulous place if you enjoy German foods and meals. Just inside the entrance is a deli with German foods and sausages not available other locations. The opposite wall is covered with German products rarely seen in US. A specialty shop with the wonders of the German environment.... More

The food was excellent! You have to try the potato pancakes. The service was great and personable. We really enjoyed the lady playing the accordion. Dessert was the Mozart torte which was a great combination of chocolate and raspberry.

Our family loves Germany and German food. Food here was authentic and very good, much like we experience abroad. Front of restaurant is a store/deli that sells German goods and candy, so we were able to pick up some of our favorite German chocolate. Will definitely eat here again when in the area.

Went here for dinner with coworkers this evening. Very good food. The brats (combo platter), sauerkraut, and vegetables were all excellent! They had the cutest waitress-- Like a mom! Definitely recommend this establishment!

Went here looking for good German food and we were very disappointed. Cheese fondue was good but really expensive, and not too German. Ordered schnitzel that was not good and rippchen - it was dry and fatty not a good cut of meat. I would say brat and cucumber salad were okay. Hard to screw up a brat. It was... More

Always a stop on my travels when in the area. The sausage sampler is great (my favorite) with authentic red cabbage and German potato salad. The strudel is home made and tasty. And you can have great beer with the meal and wonderful schnapps with dessert. But, Silvia will come by and serenade with her accordion and German/Austrian folk songs.... More
