We visited tonight, after reading the reviews on trip advisor, and everything that everyone has put is right. You would think from the outside it's just a shop but go inside and you will fine a lovely restaurant. Where service and food is great, and there is even a lady playing the accordion, all for a very reasonable price, you... More

A great little restaurant that will surprise you with the quality of the food and staff. On a recent business trip a colleague and I decided to try it and were really impressed with our experience from the moment we arrived until we left. I recommend it to anyone who wants good German food. If there again, I'll go back.... More

We turned a corner from our hotel and found this gem. In the front is a deli and take out with sandwiches. In the middle is a full bar. In the back is a restaurant. We came back for dinner and, because it was Sunday night, we were entertained by an accordian player from Austria with a very eclectic repitoire... More

I discovered this place while walking towards home after a day of wandering, on my way home to NE. It's tucked away between a bunch of high-rise office buildings and it was a pleasant surprise to see they had a decent selection of authentic German fare. If I was hungry, I probably would have bought way more than my stomach... More

At first we almost didn't go here for our night out since it looked like a bodega, but then I looked at the reviews that said you had to walk through the deli to get to the restaurant. It was worth it! My wife is German, so I wanted to go to a German place for our anniversary eve. It... More

Met a friend for lunch on a Monday. They were absolutely slammed which negatively impacted service in a big way. The food was great as always but we were both put off by being ignored.

I had not eaten here for years when I walked by with a friend at lunch time and decided, just for old times' sake, to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. Up front is a respectable German deli (carry out and a few tables) with a nice assortment of specialty meats -- perfect place to get... More

We went to the Cafe Mozart in October 2014 aand found the deli in thefront pleasing with many German products including a nice assortment of cakes. Although the food was tasty, it lacked somewhat to the German cuisine I am accustomed to after living in Germany for 30 plus years. We have tried all four German restaurants in D.C. and... More

Large assortment of deli items and German products in the front and a gemütliche Gaststube for dinning inside.
