An interesting experience on Saturday night. Very matter of fact welcome and service. Could be seen as efficient or could be seen as indifferent, not really sure which it was. The food was top class and a fantastic wine list. The place was very bright I thought. A little less light would have helped and more engaging welcome and service... More

I have been to Tosca and recommended it numerous times and never been disappointed. It is not a flash in the pan. Had the lobster salad and it was excellent. Members opf the group had pork tenderloin, sea bass and the roasted scallops and they were all delicious.Asparagus side(grandmother style) was great. Finished with the warm chocolate cake which was... More

We enjoyed our meal here. I had an excellent corn soup and my wife had stuffed squash flowers as an appetizer. I had the signature carrot pappardelle pasta with rabbit Ragu and wife had 2 half portion pastas. Our server was nice and the place was quiet so you could hear yourself talk.

This is a restaurant for "movers & shakers" of business & government. The atmosphere is very upscale and formal. We would normally visit Il Mulino, but it was gone. It must have closed a few years ago? A friend recommended Tosca, and we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco with his compliments when we arrived at our table. What... More

We thoroughly enjoyed an incredibly delicious lunch (the chilled peach soup, the ravioli special, and the lightly breaded chicken) paired with excellent wine and an amazing dessert (coconut soup) paired with the perfect Asti beverage. The service is unmatched, the ambiance perfect, and the food is the highest level of excellence. You will not be disappointed. We'll be back!!!

Washington has an abundance of good restaurants for sure. But Tosca finally brings exceptional quality Italian cuisine to the city, surely long overdue. We enjoyed some of the freshest salads and seafood, on par with the best in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and even Italy, expertly prepared and served by knowledgeable and professional waiters, who did not miss a... My wife and I had a beautifull Friday night dinner at Tosca. The atmosphere is very nice (even if a bit dark) and the food truly authentic-higher end, fresh, home made Italian. I had a 1/2 ravioli with duck meat as starter and it was AMAZING. I then had pesto pasta which was really really good as well. Both home... More

For the second time, a fabulous meal. We don't go into Washington very much but Tosca is certainly a good reason to make the drive. The pastas are to die for as they are all made on the spot. My husbands veal chop was a heavenly experience. Reason enough to go again.

It started as a very nice experience. Good service and very good food. Everything was very good until 10 o'clock. Then the staff wanted us to leave. They stood by us to remove plates, and lined up just looking at our table. Cleaned up the place and removed extra chairs. This ruined a very good experience. Else everything was great.

I was expecting something great from this restaurant, but it was very average and overpriced. I want to blame the dishes I picked, but when paying such hefty prices I believe everything should taste fabulous. The staff was polite, but not very engaging. Overpriced and mediocre food.
