A very high end Italian restaurant serving excellent Italian food. They have very good collection of wines. In main course you have choice of fresh fish & lamb. Good desserts too. Very Very Expensive.

Just finished a late dinner after a film at the local art house theatre. A cold and rainy night drove us in and despite being disappointed with the menu, which was limited, we decided to stay at the worse table in the house rather than keep looking. Luckily our server was gracious and tried to protect us from the cold... More

Visited on a quiet public holiday in Washington, yet the restaurant was busy with people who know good food. The decor is in my mind a bit austere for a restaurant named Tosca, however the food and wines certainly deserve the name. Perfectly prepared meals, great wine selection and staff who discreetly served allowing conversation to continue.

I have eaten here four or five times already and despite so many new restaurants are opening around here Tosca keeps being both an icon place and the best fine dining experience. Paolo the owner is of course an incredible host but he also push for having a kitchen performing better every day, and he succeed.

I'm going to keep this sweet and simple. I joined 3 others for a business dinner, and it's hard to say which was better, the dinner or the service. For my entree, I had the short rib ravioli, and it was killer. Everything was fabuous.

Had dinner here one night and we were both very pleased with our meals. I had lobster ravioli, other guest had pork dish. Both were perfect. Service is excellent too.

I felt like I had gone back into the 70s in NYC at Tosca. You will find a quaint little bar with an extensive list of Italian aperitifs and wine (including 5 pages from Piemonte). The quality of the ingredients were fresh and top notch. Service was impeccable. Highly recommend the fresh fish or flavorful steaks. Enjoyed the cow-sheep-goat cheese... More

If you are in the downtown DC area and are in the market for some authentic Italian fare, this place is definitely a must visit. The bar is a bit small and sometimes get's crowded, but the the food, ambiance and service, will not disappoint.

First class place that does everything very well. Our fish was cooked perfectly, soup was great, the service outstanding, ambiance was nice, but the show stopper was the pasta! Order those and they do 1/2 dishes too! When we go back that is what we're going to focus on solely, like a 1/2 dish of all of them!!! Some of... More

Went for mid-week business dinner. Bar was crowded, mostly a business scene, as was the restaurant. Atmosphere is sleek and modern, slightly lacking in character but comfortable as tables are spaced far apart. Service is formal, friendly, and professional. Cuisine is referred to as "Northern Italian" (i.e. not a red sauce place). Spaghetti bolognese as an appetizer was fantastic as... More
