Restaurant week at Jaleo

We were lucky to be in town for restaurant week there and boy did we enjoy ourselves. We could not decide what to eat so we ordered the whole menu, four of us went. So, please don't think we over indulged. The food was great, from beet salad to chocolate mouse. This was a great stop on our list... read more

Everyone in DC loved Jose Andres and to be frank, I'm just not sure why... the food it alright - really nothing special though. It's over priced, loud, and even with reservations we didn't sit down until 20 minutes after. I understand you can't control when the previous party leaves, but it is your job as a restaurant to accurately... More

Lunch specials are a steal - delicious lamb sandwich and gazpacho of the day for a mere $10 at a Jose Andres place.

Holy cow! Run your keister here, order a sangria or Moscow Mule and settle in for deliciousness. But no matter what, get a reservation first. We felt sorry for the poor slobs who had a two hour wait as we walked in and were ushered immediately to our seats. Jaleo is all about tapas so let me break the dishes... More

Fantastic food in a really fun atmosphere. Great service. Try the pasta "paella" - it was one of our highlights. Every single dish was very well executed.

Travelled 40 miles into D.C. specifically to go to Jaleo. Food was superb, as usual. Enjoyed the ajo blanco, scallops, and chocolate mousse dessert.

What a flavor-filled dinner. We each had the 5-course restaurant week dinner. I started with Brussels sprouts with grapes and ham, my friend had the manchego cheese on toast. Then we both had fried bacon-wrapped dates (yes, they're as good as you're imagining right now). Then we had the garlic shrimp, very flavorful, and lastly I had the salmon with... More

We already spotted the restaurant in the morning while walking through the streets of DC and decided to go there in the evening. This restaurant is a surprise, we had a series of Spanish tapas and they were all real good. They took care to keep our glasses of ice water, beer and wine filled, the place itself has an... More
