We traveled to DC to take someone to Reagan National Airport and wanted to get dinner. I called for reservations the day before but they were booked. They offered first come first served at the bar which offers the full menu. We arrived and put our name in for dinner. A 45 minute wait, so we went to the bar.... More

A teenager's first experience with tapas and the menu was a bit confusing to her. I ordered a few things that I was familiar with. It was busy and our waitstaff was okay. The food was very good ....and very expensive

A very good place for traditional and new wave tapas. Loved the croquetas, a must, the Bunuelos of bacalao, the Spanish omelet and the incredible pan de Crystal. The service was good but lost marks for not offering much advice on wine. Deserts were ok but did not match food as far as I am concerned. The bigger the group... More

I love tapas, and finally get round to try this place. This place had been around for a long time, much longer before I even live in DC. I think it was here since 1993!! None the less, the name José Andrés still carries weight. Plus I made a booking last minute on a Monday for a Wednesday night, and... More

It's always interesting to see what a chef will do with tapas, in this case Jose Andres of restaurant and television fame. I was prepared to be impressed because of Andres reputation and also because of my brother's recommendation. Four of us started with individual salads, all good to great. The Nicoise style salad was a big hit while the... More

We were looking for something different. Five small plates which were interesting and tasty. Sangria was disappointing. Nearby couple arguing ruined our evening. Manager should have been called to help escort couple out of restaurant.

Had a really fun dinner at Jaleo on a recent trip to DC. The restaurant is fun and bright and serves delicious Spanish tapas. Chicken Croquettes were like mini chicken pot pies without the peas and carrots. Very tasty, as was the more sophisticated Grilled Quail with a delicious honey sauce. The real star for us was the Pisto manchego... More

Great tapas served by really friendly staff in a lively atmosphere. Don't miss their great selection of Spanish wines and homemade desserts including flan and gelato and sorbet.

This is basically a bar that serves food. The place has a great location but I wish the were a better restaurant. Aside from the food and noise, the worst part is the welcome: they ask you to give them your credit card. That has never happened anywhere I dined, ever.
