Some of the fun of a Tapas restaurant is trying a variety of items. The prices here will make a sane person pull back a little.

Great restaurant to share a meal with friends. Order one of the three Tapas Experience meals - and let the chef decide which dishes to delight you with - great mystery, and a better deal than purchasing tapas separately. I ordered the Tapas Experience and received 15 dishes including a dessert - really needed someone to join me though because... More

On the way to another restaurant, I passed Jaleo and remembered reading about Jose Andres. When I arrived at the "other" restaurant I was not met with the kind of hospitality that I felt was warranted by the menu! I happily left before even being seated and as I walked in the D.C. heat of the day, I passed by... More

Been here many times, and have never been disappointed. Always something new, but always some familiar items like the shrimp in garlic. Wow! I enjoy the imaginative preparations of the veggies more than the proteins. Fun with a big group so you can sample many items. The small-plate deal can get pricey.

We wandered into Jaleo after a morning of sightseeing -,we had no idea what we were walking into - it was the right place in the right location. WOW is all I can say - the only problem was deciding what to have - only two of us - and everything sounded delish. We had a combination of gazpacho ,... More

This was my second time at this restaurant, and it was even better than the first. The tasting menu is out of this world and a fun experience. The drinks (both alcoholic and alcohol-free) are fresh and new. We had reservations for 4, but as this was during the World Cup, we had an unexpected wait because the tables were... More

I'm a huge Jose Andreas fan, love Zaytinya and had big expectations for Jaleo, but was surprised that this restaurant had no "wow" factor. The paella dish was overly salty and the Iberico de bellota hamburger ordinary. The highlight of the meal: Patatas Bravas. Perhaps our expectations were too great. In the future we will stick with Zaytinya and Minibar.

What an innovative and cool was to dine - Tapas. The food was fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!! Came with family and order several dishes, none of which disappointed. Quality is very good and service is friendly. Would recommend.

Part of our holiday was in the magnificent Washington and we found this restaurant by accident. Tapas is always interesting and Jaleo was buzzing so we assumed it must be good. We were told it would be a long wait for a table but we might be able to steal one first by the bar, which we did within about... More

Our group stopped in here for some sangria and snacks during our touring. At 3:30 on a Tuesday it’s pretty quiet in here and we got great service. However, Juan is so enthusiastic and proud of the food that I suspect he provides terrific service at any time. There were five of us and we either had specials or desserts.... More
