Top Notch Tapas. Bar Nice for Solo Business Traveler.

I enjoyed sitting at the bar and having several interesting tapas prepared by the creative chef, Jose Andreas. It is a nice venue for solo or date. Parking garage is convenient next door. Great if you are staying at a Crystal City hotel and can walk over. Very close to airport.

Came here for lunch before the Barca v Chelsea game and felt like we had returned to Barcelona with a DC twist. The gin and tonics were amazing. Must try the liquid olives. Iberico selections were so satisfying. Our server was like an old friend making suggestions and treated us to his favorite desserts. Kids loved the foosball table! My... More

We arrived at the end of lunch so it wasn't very busy. Our waitress had a great smile unfortunately we didn't see it much in the next hour! Watching two tables who were set after us Was frustrating. Not much on the menu is kid friendly. Everything needed salt which was and beautiful flaky when we had to ask and... More

After spending a fair amount of time in Washington DC over the past 5 years visiting our daughter in college and graduate school, we have had a number of wonderful dining experiences. One of the truly memorable dinners occurred last year at Jaleo. So to cap off this past weekend which marked the official end of this period, we decided... More

Ok value for what you get. Nothing REALLY fancy. Just your average Spanish restaurant. You don't normally find those in today's competitive world.

Great tapas place, with great drinks. We have been here several times and have never been disappointed. We go here sometimes later on in the evening for a small bite. They recently did a cool renovation. They always have fresh, unique dishes and it is always consistant and good quality. We can always find something for the kids too. If... More

Spanish tapas. Lots of small plate foods to share with friends and/or family. In my case it was family, plus my daughter's friend. Drank lots of good Sangria and ate a huge selection of foods. Each was a small portion and tapas is designed that way. The waiter brought plates out in stages, timing the delivery so that we all... More

Best tapas in the US in a friendly ambiance on 7th street near the DC Mall. Sangria is probably the less inspriring part of the experience, tapas and jamon are great

This is a decent sized restaurant - very comfortable surroundings. We absolutely LOVE this place. It's a great way to try many different types of food - well prepared and delicious may I add. We brought a few friends with us after enjoying our first anniversary dinner about a year prior. We only live a few hours away, so we... More

Sometimes, when traveling, the idea of sitting down to a formal meal after a day of sightseeing isn't so appealing. So, when family members suggested Jaleo, a tapas restaurant that specializes in small plates, we all thought it sounded good. We were not disappointed. We made a reservation (strongly recommend doing this), and were promptly seated when we arrived. The... More
