Still one of my favorites

I think Jaleo is the first restaurant I ever ate at in DC. That was probably 7 years ago. It hasn't lost a step. The execution of each plate is still fantastic, the menu has a ton of options and the service is very good. Longevity in the restaurant biz isn't easy, but good food is good food... read more

Sat a the bar and order three tapas dishes that went very well with an Emilio Moro 2011, a Ribera del Duero Tempranillo. The ambiance was great and the guys at the bar were excellent.

My boyfriend and I love tapas and always find restaurants like this wherever we travel. First thing, get the sangria...trust me. We started with a selection of cheeses and one of the ham dishes. The ham was very salty and the cheeses were good but didn't come with any bread or crackers to eat them on. Next we got patatas... More

My husband and I had never spent $60 on lunch before. However, the food at Jaleo was outstanding and so worth the splurge. Their menu at first seemed intimidating, as there are many choices. We went the variety route and ordered five plates for the two of us. We had a lovely warm spinach dish, a traditional Spanish omelet with... More

Not our original plan - but we picked three Jose Andres restaurants in our recent DC trip. Starting with Jaleo, then Oyamel, then Zaytinya. All were the small plate concept - but otherwise all were different. Loved them all but if we had to pick one, we enjoyed Jaleo best (but a very close contest!). Very inventive dishes, vegetarian friendly,... More

While I make frequent business trips to Spain, I've never had the opportunity to dine at one of Chef Jose Andres' restaurants. I've heard friends and family rave about the place. I finally got to drop by last week for a business dinner meeting and everything from the service, staff, food, and sangria was amazing. Highly recommend for anyone visiting... More

Had a business dinner there this evening and we rented the place out. Had the opportunity to sample many different servings. Some of the food was quite interesting while some was overpowering. Staff was great and very tenant to our needs. The place is worth checking out.

Busy, high energy, colorful, excellent freshly prepared food. They move a lot of food through here. The tapas menu is divided into categories making it easier to pick a variety of complementary dishes. The menu descriptions are very detailed and mouth watering. Hard to limit yourself- it all sounds so good. We always get a cheese, a fish (the octopus... More

We had dinner here during a business/family trip to DC. All I can say is WOW. The tapas were so flavorful. Just the right amount of spice and heat. Each dish had it's own uniqueness. Just wonderful! Definitely try Jaleo for tapas!

My friend and I were visiting DC and another friend of ours recommended Jaleo and made our reservation. Once we arrived to the busy, bustling restaurant we were greeted and quickly seated at a front room private table. We had the Jose's Way Chef tasting. It included what felt like an endless supply of tapas with all different flavors and... More
