Great Tapas!

This si another Jose Andres' creation, and of course it's amazing. Their tapas are served in small plates and they were good, real good. Try the Rosejat, and the Calamari en su tinta. Will go back.

I made reservations for a table of 8. I should have known something was wrong when 80 percent of the tables were empty. The waiter was slow and just plain rude. He argued with us when we said we should pay for one item that was sent back to the kitchen because it had not been ordered. He said he... More

Our friend told us that this place was the best new thing in DC, have to agree, the food was so amazing it reminded us our last trip to Spain, the taste of the food is so authentic so real you want to order the whole menu. The croquetas tapas are a great choice to start! we ordered the mix... More

When you go to a restaurant run by a world-famous celebrity chef, a restaurant that's one of the most famous in DC - you have certain expectations: Great food. Attentive service. A wonderful time with friends and family. None of that was true last night at Jaleo. We waited 45 minutes for a waiter to even take our order. It... More

We decided to try Jaleo on a recommendation from the hotel's concierge. We were not disappointed! We did not have reservations and it was 6 pm on a Wednesday. The hostess told us we could grab a seat in the bar or wait 45 minutes. So we went to the bar. No problem. We ordered the tasting menu of tapas... More

It's good - a bit bustle-y and noisy - not a place for a quiet chat. That is a niggle, though. I go there with friends, not with my husband. The cauliflower with sherry dressing is my favourite of all - but everything is good. Be prepared to have the tapas plates come out as they are ready, rather than... More

Consistently excellent tapas. The old standbys like shrimp in garlic, stuffed piquillo peppers, and fried cod fritters are always wonderful, but you need to also experiment with some of the more exciting options, like the incredible sea urchin, raw, beautifully displayed, and tasting of the sea (and I don't even like sushi!). We also always get Sangria, preferably the refined... More

Amazing place and not to be missed. Great interesting food and service. The owner is a star with great staff and a food empire but the food and drinks are great. Go and enjoy and even you could be enjoying the same food as the most powerful person in the world, his wife. Ps we were searched by the secret... More

Enjoyed a broad selection of tapas, from iberico jamon and bacalao fritters to vegetable dishes. The flight of Rose wines was very interesting, with flavors not usually experienced with typical rose's. Although there were many tourists, some seeming to push their culinary boundaries, it was so disheartening to see people not enjoying their tapas with either wine, sangria or something... More

Had a fantastic multi-course dinner - needed to be rolled out of the restaurant after stuffing myself with all that delicious food. Every dish that came out was tastier than the next. I was full by the end of the 2nd course, but somehow managed to keep sampling the rest of the dishes coming out. Jaleo is very popular, so... More
