We stopped for lunch on our way to the zoo. We always look for local restaurants while traveling and were specifically looking for a sandwich/light meal. We got a ham sub that was delicious, better than the chain sub sandwiches. It was a great restaurant! We highly recommend Byblos Deli to anyone going near the Cleveland Park/Woodley Park/zoo area.

Chef Marco is a superb cook. I have lunch at his Cleve Park deli at least 2 times per week. The food is freshly cooked and wonderful. The gyros, the falafel, greek salads, hamburger ($3.75!!) are all great. Ask about his off menu specials: the soups are top notch. SK from DC.

We stopped in after a day at the zoo on our way to the Metro and had lunch, my boyfriend and I got cheeseburgers, and our friends had Gyros. We were all STUFFED and thought everything was delicious! Would definitely stop in again and try something else.

Of all the Mediterranean spots in and around cleveland park, Byblos is the best. It looks like a simple dive spot, but their food is made fresh for every order. Our favorite is the Gyros Byblos Special. Filling and priced appropriately.

Don't be shy if you think it looks awfully ordinary: this place is terrific. Mark likes to "make people happy" and he does it with good food made with good ingredients. One taste and you know that someone (Mark) cares. On a hot day -- which it was -- his tabouli is sublime. If your mama were Greek, she would... More

Not a deli, more like a carry out. I would consider Byblos a tad on the dive side, however its not a bad thing. Good mediterranaen menu with traditional american carry out, burgers, etc.. Small seating area. Had the gyro, lamb was season welled and the tzatiki was flavorful. The gyro could have use a touch of feta and red... More

Fair Warning: this review may be biased. I have been a fan of Byblos for about 4 years. It has a special significance to my husband and I, as we have been going there since we started dating. Before going to see our first movie together (at the Uptown Theater), we went to Byblos. After a health scare (and two... More
