I hardly give time to write reviews, but this restaurant was outstanding. The staff and the food is what makes this place special. Our waitress and host were awesome. I liked the green salad, pumpkin soup and scallops the best. Great quality..The best part is it is not overpriced.

As it says on the website -easy to miss. Had a business dinner here, and everyone in our international party raved about the quality. Tuna tartare - wow wow wow! Waiter got the service just right. Excellent wine but I did not pay the bill so cannot comment on price vs quality. My one piece of advice - allow yourself... More

I seldom use words like superlative, and give restaurants 5 star reviews for a variety of reasons, some with great ambiance and four star food, some with five star food and lousy ambiance. This unobtrusive restaurant has it all: GREAT food, service, wine list. The wine list is not modest, but very well chosen. I had an "egg and leg"... More

The food in this restuarant was perfect. We visited on Christmas Day for a set menu which had the usual christmas fare plus some house specialities. I had the turkey which I have to say was the best I had ever tasted. My only critcism was that the waiter failed to tell us that the soup contained Foie Gras, my... More

Well, there wasn't a false note at our recent dinner at Corduroy. From the welcome we got from the maitre d' and head waiter to the smart layout (lots of quiet and private-seeming areas) to the simple but element decor. The menu is not pages long, but it harbors some wonderfully creative food--our party had guinea hen, fluke, veal and... More

The service is great from the moment you walk in the door. The atmosphere is very comfortable and intimate, because they didn't cram the most possible tables and chairs in, so nobody is a foot away at an adjacent table, everyone is nicely spaced. The menu has good variety, and for us (non-meat eaters) plenty of fish options. They also... More

Highly recommend as one of best restaurants in DC. Food was amazing. We had three appetizers, three main courses and three deserts. The highlights were; 1. Tuna main course--so moist and cooked (seared to perfection) over rice. This was everybody's favorite 2. Lobster Carpacio appetizer. Very unusual dish. Raw Lobster sliced paper thin with sauces on top of it. This... More

Due to a last minute change in travel plans, we unexpectedly ended up being in Washington for Thanksgiving. While we were sad not to see family, the service, ambiance, and food at Corduroy quickly put us in a great mood. The restaurant decor is beautiful. It's understated and elegant, and the open kitchen adds a fun energy to the main... More

We love Corduroy. This is my third Trip Advisor review for the restaurant in 24 months, and it is much the same as the others - highly professional service, well-executed interesting dishes and a refined and welcoming ambiance. And we will continue to return. But on two different occasions now, we have noted a distracting element of their wine service.... More

We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday with a tasting menu for family, including grandparents and a 12 year old. It was fantastic. The diversity of dishes - cauliflower soup, tuna tartare, sardines, pork belly and venison - was lovely. Particularly the tuna tartare didn't overwhelm the tuna belly flavor and the venison was perfectly cooked, not an easy feat. And... More
