I was in town on business and went to dinner with a colleague who lives in Virginia. We each had the tasting menu and each course was interesting and in some cases exciting. I highly recommend the tasting menu if you like to be surprised. You should let them know your intolerances and allergies and the kitchen plans with these... More

My wife and I visited this restaurant as part of our vacations in the area. We're dining enthusiasts, so we went to Corduroy based on its reputation. We had the tasting menu and all that's needed to say is that it was amazing. The best we have dined in the DC/Georgetown area (including Citronelle).

I have dined here several times, always on business and fine the menu inviting. The ingredients seem fresh and local and there are always strong options for vegetarians. They are also attentive to allergies and willing to accommodate diners who need gluten-free, etc. I don't require these services but am often with others who do and this is appreciated. The... More

From reading the reviews, perhaps the 5 course chef tasting is the way to go. We did not go that route and just felt everything was just OK. It's really nothing special for the prices they are charging for it. We didn't love the wine we got talked into and the wine list, though expansive, really didn't have anything. I... More

My wife and I were in DC and had dinner. The service was outstanding, very helpful but not overwhelming. The food was quite good. My beet and baby carrot salad was sweet with some lovely cheese to make it savory. The main was a grilled salmon over cabbage cooked to perfection. My wife had a lobster bisque which looked and tasted... More

My son and I enjoyed this restaurant last time, so we thought we would go again in spite of its being very expensive. This time it was a whole other experience. Last time, in the summer of 2014, the food was good. This time, I spent $250, including $71 on a Pommard (bottle of red wine), and it was the... More

We had the great pleasure of dining at Corduroy for our 27th wedding anniversary! Corduroy is a little innocious from the street, but a wonderful prize inside! We decided to take a little adventure with the Chef's five course surprise. After establishing a few ground rules (my bride's allergy to nuts for instance) we were off on a wonderful cullinary... We dined here with friends on a Thursday night. Everything was great, from the pleasant greeting upon arrival, the custom cocktails, and spectacular food. Our server was very knowledgeable and made a great wine suggestion. The only thing that would keep me from recommending this place to others is the lack of weeknight valet parking. We arrived in the rain,... More
