Outstanding ambiance, food and serice

The food and service are high quality. What makes Corduroy special is the ambiance. One doesn't have to shout to be heard.

I had the pleasure of having my first dinner in DC at Corduroy and it was a fantastic experience that I won't soon forget. This particular restaurant is nestled away in a very ordinary looking spot but once you venture inside you learn it's everything but. I visited with some friends while on vacation and we all had a wonderful... More

The food tasted great. I enjoyed the mushroom pasta chock full of a wide selection of mushrooms and a surprisingly light sauce. The pasta was also great. Service was attentive and professional. What I particularly enjoyed was the ambience was quiet enough for great conversations, but not so stuffy you felt you needed to whisper.

I recently had the pleasure of dining in Corduroy's private dining room, and the whole experience was a class act. The wait staff was very professional and intuitive - they even closed the doors to our private dining room within one minute of a baby starting to cry at a nearby table to ensure that our business discussions were not... We have been to Corduroy many times, but returned after a hiatus of a couple of years and are very pleased we did. The space is effectively arranged: the chef can see the entire room and there are two person cubbies scattered about. We had a very romantic evening in one of them. The menu did not change much from... More

Good food. But too expensive. In Washington you could easily find better restorant for better price. More close to center of the town. Our waiter was wearied with dirty shoes and his suit was clipped with 2 of 2 buttons.

the food on the two occasions we were there was truely superb. The wait staff was excellent the remembered us from the first visit. We had the tasting menu which was too much to eat but magnificent. It is an expensive adventure but one worth taking for one's anniversary or birthday or something else special.

I went with a large group of friends and thought the service was excellent. The food was great and I paid about what I expected, but I did expect it to be a bit expensive. I would recommend this restaurant as a place to go if you want to splurge a bit for a special occasion. I tend to go... More

Between Sackets Harbor, NY & the Canadian border are 1,000 island of various sizes. Each is unique, has it's history & FUN to explore & see. There's fine dining along the shores & shops to purchase momentums of your excursion. Meeting many people from different places in the world enhanced my network. The weather can be unpredictable, so plan ahead... More

I had a chance to visit this restaurant during a business trip to DC. First, if you didn't know it existed, your would literally walk right pass the brown stone structured restaurant on 9th St. The dinner was awesome, and I started with a beet and goat cheese salad that was fresh and very pleasing to the palate. I then... More
