We hosted ten for dinner and had a great time. Festive atmosphere, great service. I recommend bone-in rib eye and/or lobster. Desserts are great. Side dishes are a must! Especially the half and half fried chips and onions. Great wine list. I've been going to different Palm locations - Chicago since the early 80s. NYC and DC. It's one of... More

I have worked for the same law firm for 36 years. (I was born in a conference room! LOL!!) Back in the day this restaurant was where the movers and shakers dined. I have dined here more times than I can count over the years, and although the faces have changed the food and the service remain the same. The... More

We ate as a party of 4. I usually have their steak but I was overloaded on beef and had the veal. My wife always has veal at the Palm as well. I had parm and she had hers with lemon. Our tablemates had a veal Marsala and blackened sea bass. The latter two dishes were excellent as were the... More

I have eaten at the Washington, DC Palm many times, and usually it's a good meal--not gourmet but good. This time no so much---I had gazpacho which was basically tomato flavored water with chopped veggies (mostly onions)--really nothing. Then shrimp and grits, a daily special. After a few bites it was clear the shrimp were not fresh and the "gravy"... More

I visited the Palm on my first evening in Washington, wanting a restaurant close to my hotel. The walls of the restaurant are covered in caricatures of famous people which are fun to look at. The service from all the staff in the restaurant was very friendly and efficient. The quality of the food was spot on and good value... More

You can always count on an excellent meal and impeccable service at the Palm. It is popular, so expect it to be noisy -- even late on a Saturday evening. But the service provided will ensure a wonderful evening. The filet mignon is the best anywhere around. We shared sides of creamed spinach and mashed potatoes with goat cheese. One... More

I was at a conference in DC and the group had reserved a private room at The Palm. Very nice restaurant, room and great food and service. We began with passed appetizers - first was a toast with goat cheese and fresh tomato, followed by crab cake canapes. Both were great, but the crab was awesome. If they have that... More

Went to the Palm on a business trip. The atmosphere was awesome. Waitstaff did an exceptional job. The wine glass was always full, as was the water glass. Had salmon as my entree. Very well prepared and tasty. The potatoes were awesome as well. I would recommend this place if you want a nice dinner with great service.
