The service was great, the food was delicious and my car was waiting at the end of the meal! I even had a visit from Chef Paul, which made me feel extra special. I showed the photos to anyone who would look, described the food to anyone who would listen, and recommended Marcel's to anyone who could appreciate a fine... More

Everything delicious, including my Manhattan. Highly recommended. Reasonably priced given the high quality of the food and service. Enjoyed the tasting menu encouraging smaller portions of multiple courses. (Get the boudin!)

Marcel's never disappoints. It is THE perfect place for a special occasion. From the moment you walk in the door, the staff creates an environ that is beyond special. I've been here several times, all for celebrations with good friends, and everything was perfect. Ask the waitstaff for recommendations--they'll quiz you back about your tastes and make terrific recommendations. Marcel's... More

After many years absence, we finally got around to revisiting Marcel's last night - January 13. Why did we stay away so long? The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere superb. What we appreicated most was enjoying all the foregoing in a quiet, civilized surrounding. Too many retaurants today, even otherwise good ones, seem to be just... More

Warm welcome. We sat in the corner and had a great view of the whole restaurant, however it was very chilly by the window. Service was excellent and the food was sublime. Defintely worth the price.

Marcel's used to be a fabulous restaurant. Last night, however, we had a disappointing experience. The food was underwhelming - for example, sand in the mussels (which the waitress seemed to find amusing, but at their prices seems inexcusable) - and the service was very slow. In addition, it was freezing in the back room. As every table in the... More

French cuisine that beats many in Paris. Sauces were scrumptious, portions for 5 course were just right. Service was superb, very knowledgable re menu. Expensive but a worthwhile splurge. Even provided transport back to hotel. Tell them jerrinmarc sent you!

Fantastic food in a comfortable environment. Not the biggest portions, but sufficient to satisfy and appreciate the quality. Never felt like we totally relaxed as the staff were checking on us every few minutes, which disturbed our privacy a little.

Excellent service, great food. Prix fixe style menu, but lots of flexibility to swap. Wait staff helpful with suggestions. Good wine list.

I had dined at Marcel's a couple of years ago and was not at all impressed. The dining room was dreadfully tired & dated; the bar looked like a 1970's era Holiday Inn cocktail lounge. The food was good but hardly memorable. I had no desire to return. Then three things happened: 1) I wanted to entertain a dear friend... More
