We have been to Marcel's 3 times in the past year, four if you count our upcoming reservation next week. We save it for special nights and the staff go out of their way to make us feel special when we come, although we know they have people who feel they are "more important" than we are, as many do... This dinner was to celebrate my wife completing the Marine Corps Marathon (her fastest marathon to date!), and the restaurant made a point to mention this to her when we arrived, and continued to do so when we met the Captain, Jonathan. With Jonathan as your Captain, you need not worry about anything. Jonathan took a fine meal, and made... More

I was introduced to Marcel's in 2013. Since then, I've had the pleasure to eat here a few times. I'm always impressed by the staff and the menu selection. Exquisitely made food that will keep you talking about it until the next time you visit them. Highly recommend.

Once my friend & I got past the sticker shock (no prices on the menu posted outside), we both agreed it was one of the best dining experiences we've had. $90 each for a 4 course meal was a bit more than we were planning, but it was well worth it. Each course was unique and flavorful. We both tried... More

Great place for a date or just a formal company visit. Great food and a great variety of wines. Need to be dressed very nicely.

Maybe our expectations were high based on the reviews, but in all it was just a nice evening out. There were pieces of shell in our starters. The second course was almost too salty to eat. It was the main course where the restaurant redeemed itself. Other reviewers raved about the service we found it efficient but not very personal... More

This was our second visit to this restaurant. Next year we will definitely return (our annual trip to DC), but will be sure to ask for the waiter we had last year who made this place extra special: Jonathon. ASK FOR HIM! The food was still wonderful, but for me, service has a lot to do with the experience particularly... More

Had a truly wonderful dining experience. I was invited by my friend who is a connosieur of Marcel's. The restaruant is decorated in classic French decor. There are lace curtains in the window and fleu de lis on the glass window to the kitchen, through which you see numerous men in chef's hats cooking. There's even a private, curtained table... More

We ate Sunday dinner in the bar area, which we prefer to the more formal, recently redecorated dining room. Do not be put off by the multi course pricing and offerings on the website or menu, one orders what one wants from the ever changing selection of dishes and pays accordingly. I selected the Dover sole, served bone-in and in... More

i was in town for a conference, and to meet up with by brother, and we chose Marcel's for a special night out. Suffice to say the menu is stunning, the service fantastic, and atmosphere exactly what you want for that special occasion. Okay, so some customers seemed to be except from the "jackets required" advisory, but still, it's a... More
