Description: Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post. The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.

Chose this place to avoid the downpour. Placed an order that did not arrive, what arrived was part of an order. Server did not approach to check, had to get his attention. No apology, just rushed off and came back about 10mins later with the rest of the food. Food itself was mediocre. Bill presented was wrong, again no apology... More

We went to Old Glory in Georgetown while visiting D.C. on a family vacation. The food was very good - considerably better than expected. The service was friendly and attentive and the ambience was nice (not too raucous yet at the early hour of our visit, before the dinner rush on a Friday evening). We ordered the "Whole Lotta Glory"... More

It was a hot day so we had lunch indoors. I know the best ambience is sitting up on the deck. The quality of the food is good. All your typical BBQ style options. Service is pleasant and efficient, could be more engaging but maybe our age didn't suit their demographic.

We saw the rear terrace while walking around Georgetown. It seemed like a hidden gem. The terrace was a nice place to dine, the specialty was marinated meats with their home made sauces, so there might no be somethong for everyone on the menu.

How could this place rate so well on Tripadvisor? We had made a reservation. There were several empty tables but we were seated right next to the toilet. The toilet did not have a proper lock. It had a sliding door which had a little gap when you closed it. It was dinner time but the place was half full.... More

We went to Old Glory BBQ when visiting the nation's capital. Old Glory is actually in Georgetown, but it is still a good location. The food and the service were both great. We had a nice server, who had way too many tables. We got a giant $60 meat platter which did not shortchange us at all, for it had... More

We had dinner here based on a recommendation from our hotel and it did not disappoint. Fantastic food. The Mumbo Sauce Chicken Burger was outstanding, the Ribs were really nice and the the service was great.

First time to Georgetown found us here at recommendation of brother in law. We love BBQ in Texas, but this was a definite disappointment compared to what we get there, and not even as good as BBQ chains outside of Texas. Food deserves two stars, atmosphere three, but not more. .Brisket sandwich was small, tough, and served on a cheap... More

This is a great find right on M Street in the heart of Georgetown. We walked in on a Saturday night at about 8:15 and were seated promptly. The service was great - our server let us move our table when a better location became available. The service was speedy and the food was delicious - we had burgers, sliced... More

The service here was really good. The place is nice with a good atmosphere. The food was good, but not great. I thought it was a bit expensive for what we ordered. Overall it was good/average. Not sure I would go back. There are to many other places to try in the same area.
