Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post. The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.

WARNING! The corn muffins are addictive!

This is a casual BBQ restaurant in Georgetown. I had the pulled pork with collard greens and I enjoyed it very much. They have several different sauces you can pour on your meals, I tried the Savannah and the Memphis BBQ sauces. I preferred the Memphis but the Savannah wasn't bad. I got a taste... read more

We made reservations and entered the restaurant at 9:00 PM. We were seated right in front of the windows at a high up table. Seating was crowded and there wasn't any options. The hostess was ok, but the server was AWFUL. He brought us waters and said he would bring us cornbread, but the hostess did. We waited over 15... More

As the three of us walked in on Sunday around 4pm, we got greeted and seated immediately. About 5 minutes later, a lady came over, dropped off 3 waters, said "I brought you some water," and walked away before we could even give our input as to whether we wanted something else to drink. Another lady then came by and... More

Old Glory is slightly below average barbeque. We had the brisket sandwich, pulled pork, macaroni and cheese, fries, Cole slaw, and potato salad. The portions were very small and the sides were very pricey! A side of Cole slaw costs $6! The fries were the only thing that tasted pretty good, but they cost $6 as well. This restaurant was... We have been coming from Buffalo to Washington D.C./ Baltimore/ Annapolis for 15 years, as we have family in Maryland. We always make it a priority to eat at Old Glory! And it never disappoints. The ribs are outstanding and the sauces are great. Menu is full of options! Also great shopping all around the area!

Same old story as many well located restaurants - owner has turned it into a cash cow due to location. Put this place in an out of the way location and no one, I repeat no one, would bother going to it. The BBQ ribs were fair at best and everything went downhill from there. My son was served the... For a place that is meant to be famous for it's ribs I'm pleased I didn't try anything else. They were nothing out of the ordinary, and the sweet potato wedges were going on under cooked (not that I said anything). A good selection of beers on tap, and a server at the bar that was helpful improved my write... More

Best part about DC is the Happy hour specials-esp for food. Old Glory had half prize appetizers Great deal. went with 2 teen girls and it was great for them-not too trendy that they feel out of place with parents. food was excellent too.

This is a tourist trap or it would be bankrupt. Very old. Very dirty. Bathroom with sliding door right in main eating area. Servers are poorly dressed and un-groomed. No real barbecue. There was no pulled chicken sandwich even. So they offered my friend a "chicken sandwich." The waiter later apologized because he actually gave my friend the pork sandwich... More

Found this little gem of a restaurant whilst in Georgetown. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic and the staff were so friendly. Food portions were absolutely massive !! The hot dog must have been a foot long ! Also deep fried pickles were a revelation ! Give this place a try !
