Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post. The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.

Great Value and Massive portions !!!!!!!!

Found this little gem of a restaurant whilst in Georgetown. The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic and the staff were so friendly. Food portions were absolutely massive !! The hot dog must have been a foot long ! Also deep fried pickles were a revelation ! Give this place a try !

This is a tourist trap or it would be bankrupt. Very old. Very dirty. Bathroom with sliding door right in main eating area. Servers are poorly dressed and un-groomed. No real barbecue. There was no pulled chicken sandwich even. So they offered my friend a "chicken sandwich." The waiter later apologized because he actually gave my friend the pork sandwich... More

Myself and 3 colleagues dropped in here on a visit to Georgetown. They had no room downstairs so we ended up in the open-air patio, no air-con and it was very sticky and humid, plus we had a rickety table. A decent selection of beers on draft, however they only came in half-pint plastic cups and were very expensive for... More

You could miss this place but for the fantastic smell of BBQ. If you are a BBQ fan then you must try this place, the burnt ends are to die for and I love the fact that apart from the ketchup they make all their own sauces. We ate here our second night in Washington DC and didn't try anywhere... More

I went to Old Glory because I loved the mini corn bread muffins and peach butter. I went this time with my youngest daughter and family. They loved it. I got half price appetizers and they were great. My granddaughter who went last year asked for the children's menu and ordered her usual hotdog. I had to leave to get... More

This is a typical Georgetown waterhole since many years. Yingling beer on draft and a large menu with burgers and American Food. I had the Louisiana-style spareribs which very wonderfully tasty, my friends went for a burger accompanied by spnach (cooked to greyness) and fries (nothing to write home about). You can sit on the roof terrace and even have... More

I stopped in Old Glory while I was waiting for my wife to finish an appointment. Since I was alone, I just sat down at the bar and ordered a beer and a burger. The bartender served my quickly (I think her name was Katie, but I could be wrong). The burger was good, nothing overly special but tasty. The... More

So we were greeted by a friendly staff upon arrival, and had high hopes for this place because we were told to go this place by a local we met at a store. The menu made the food sound amazing, but upon the first bite you could tell that it had been cooked early and reheated. My chicken was tough... More

Excellent BBQ. Ribs were tasty and the baked beans were excellent. No reservations we were seated in 5 minutes. Our server took good care of us.

Stopped in for a late lunch, and Old Glory did not disappoint! We were installed in a comfortable booth on arrival, and our server was skillful and efficient. The pulled pork was fall-off-the-bone perfect, and the sweet potato wedges brilliantly spiced with a touch of cinnamon--just the right kick. Loved the array of sauces--something for every taste. A great BBQ... More
