Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post. The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.

Friendly all american BBQ joint

We were welcomed with a smile and treated like valued guests all throughout the evening. The service was excellent. The atmosphere lots of fun. Since it was a bit loud inside and we felt like fresh air anyway, we decided to opt for the outside covered "rooftop style" bar, which had a great vibe. We... read more

It's hard to write a negative review when the servers are friendly but there's more to a dinner out than being nice; competence and coordination with the kitchen helps too. 1st - the wrong app was delivered. The place is loud as mentioned in other reviews, so maybe we didn't hear each other. The second try on the app was... More

My wife said the Hickory Pit Burger was the best burger she had in a very long time (she said it tasted like a Memorial day cookout burger) and her potatoe salad was very flavorful. I had the Po Boy Duo because it is not something you see everywhere and the Grilled Veggie Skewer. They were both good choices. Service... More

Stooped in as we drove by and had to give it a try. Brisket and onion rings were to die for. The po boy sandwich left a lot to desire though. Shrimp was too small and corn was cold on po boy. Sweet potato wedges were amazing - cole slaw was fresh and tasty.

The food was great and the service prompt, but it has a sports bar atmosphere and the volume makes conversation very difficult. I sat with two family members and we had to shout to hear each other. The food makes it worth it, though.

Yes! Now that was some great food! Great atmosphere and great staff! The food is amazing. I had the brisket and could not pick it up with my fork it was that tender it just fell apart! I had to scoop it up! Everyone at the table had an amazing time and even bbq enthusiasts that were with us said... More

This is not the best BBQ in DC, which is not the best town for BBQ. But this place has some ambiance inside, and has a great location. Staff are not overly friendly, but were efficient and did not detract. The only real disappointment was the beer menu.

Old Glory has still got it! I haven't eaten here in quite some time, so my soon to be wife and I decided to go for dinner. It was a Saturday night and there was only a short wait. We started with excellent corn bread muffins (complimentary) and when we ate all of them, they brought another basket free of... More

Stopped in for lunch on a warm Spring day and had a pretty reasonable lunch. Staff were friendly and relaxed, food was pretty good with no disasters or particular stand outs. The winner here was the atmosphere which was relaxed and chilled out with some seriously good tunes on the PA system which certainly chilled us out after a day... More

Having a number of good reviews we were looking forward to ur meal here but we left a little underwhelmed. We moved table twice as the first was uncomfortable and the second we were pushed in a corner even though the restaurant was not full. The food was ok. The cornbreads were good. The pulled pork was dry and the... More
