Of all of our "native" food, barbecue is uniquely, authentically and gloriously All-American. Old Glory, located on historic M Street in Georgetown, captures the food, flavor and feel of the great barbecue restaurants of the United States, and offers representations of each styles of barbecue served in different parts of the country. "It looks like a rib joint, sounds like a rib joint and smells like one...most important, of course, the kitchen smokes fine barbecue," says the Washington Post. The huge barbecue pit, the open kitchen, and the 1901 Silver Dollar Four Winds hand-crafted bar, create lively, exciting atmosphere that is downright down-home.

Spring Break Dinner

We loved Old Glory 20 years ago (when we were college students) and were not disappointed when we took family for dinner during our Spring Break trip. Very family friendly and good food. Kids gave it a thumbs up.

Might be because I've been spoiled with awesome BBQ from all over the country and have become a BBQ snob, but I was not impressed with Old Glory. We ordered a sampler meal with a variety of several different options and the only one that was above average was the sausage.

Great food, staff and location! Add this place to your list of stops in Georgetown! Pulled pork, brisket and burgers all hit the spot - a good selection of sauces give Old Glory serious BBQ cred! Try 'em out!

Went on a Sunday for dinner - had a reservation which was good since it was busy. Service was pretty poor; we had to ask for a beer as the server was taking our dinner orders, and she never asked if we wanted a second. But the food came out relatively quickly and it was pretty good. I'd give it... More

For Washington, not bad BBQ. They cook over woo, in a smoker mostly they they do grill roast some of their sides. They have an assortment of sauces at the tables, try them until you find your match. Brisket and ribs are good, pulled pork is better.

This restaurant has really good barbecue and a covered heated outdoor bar on the second floor that you can smoke cigars in all year round. No tobacco charge and they let you bring your own cigars. Most of the time their heating system keeps it warm but bring a jacket. Very good selection of beers and whiskey's

I recently had the opportunity to visit the Old Glory BBQ restaurant Washington DC. This was my first visit to this location. Now you have to understand, I love BBQ and when I saw that they had Beef Brisket on the menu, I immediately knew what I was having for dinner. The brisket was tender, had some char on the... More

My wife and I stopped in on a very cold day and were seated at a nice sunny table in the front window. We were fortunate to be taken care of by the manger Jeremy. He was very personable and attentive. I had brisket and my wife had the ribs. Both were excellent. We liked the assortment of sauces they... More

Stopped in here to warm up with some awesome bbq, and should have kept walking. The restaurant itself was cold, and I had to keep my coat on the whole time. Ordered coffee and it was lukewarm. Then I watched my waitress in the back texting, eating, and licking her fingers while we sat with empty cups and empty bread... More

I really appreciated the service. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. The food though was only okay. I had the ribs and they were only okay. I was not that impressed with the barbecue sauces. If friends would decide to meet at this restaurant, I would definitely go. I, however, would not put it on the top of... More
