A favorite among politicos and some personalities. The prices reflect an admission price to hopefully encounter someone famous. Food was well prepared and the wine list was ridiculously priced. One of gusts is an Italian food critic who scoffed at the wine list prices as being 5 to 10 time s more expensive than the best restaurants in Milan. Parking... More

One of the best food joint in DC. Enjoyed their Special Meal and Pasta. Service was average. Book in advance to prevent waiting. Very nice ambience. It is a bit pricy so check proces before ordering.

My wife had the Osso Buco--outstanding. I had the papparadella ragu--very good. For apps, I had the proscuitto--outstanding! She had the salad--OK. The waiter recommended an outstanding red wine--Italo Merlot. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be available on the retail market--we'd love to be able to have it at home. Service was excellent--the waiter noticed that our apps were... More

We had a gift certificate for the Milano for 120 dollars and blew it along with a credit card payment on top, to eat average food served by arrogant wait staff. If I had not had the gift certificate I would not go there again - their stock in trade is the people watching of notables who come there and... More

I have been here only once before and the first time did not impress me very well. This time around the food was excellent and the service impeccable. I order the gnoquis and I will probably will order them again next time around.

We took our hotel concierge's recommendation and decided to have dinner with our niece here during a recent visit to D.C. We were told Cafe Milano was a trendy, upscale, popular place where a lot of politicians, celebrities, etc. dine, and that the food was very good. We found this restaurant to be all of these. By dining early (5:30... More

The restaurant was quite full on the Saturday evening we had dinner there. I was surprised by the unusually high prices for the wine list, basically 33% above the usual high prices for a wine list; so you end up paying $60 for a $15 bottle of wine. My wife and I split a spaghetti alle vongole main course as... More

This restaurant was highly recommended to me by many DC locals. They were right about it! It was great! The Berry Mojitos, in particular, were fantastic. The pasta dish we tried was rich without being heavy. The salad with roma tomatoes was one of the best I've ever had and the pizza was amazingly light. The servers are sooo attentive... More

The restaurant is across the street from a parking lot, perhaps convenient but not the coziest street in Georgetown. The interior was very dark. Food was good, but pricey. Service was very good.
