Where you may want to go for Italian

Better than many other Italian restaurants in the area (and in the States, in general). Good and attentive service, elegant decor, appreciable wine list, the place has become a showcase for the local high end crowd.

Following the 2015 NSA Influence Conference in DC, I decided to stay a couple of days in DC to visit with my sister from Roanoke, VA. Since I didn't really know the area, I thought I would look on Trip Advisor for good Italian restaurants in DC. Cafe Milano came up right away. We booked a reservation for 3 of... More

Dear Laura M., Thank you for dining at Cafe Milano on your visit from Portland! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the food and service. The butter lettuce salad is a crowd favorite and is actually named after one of our loyal guests who is a big fan of the dish! Thank you again for your kind feedback... More

Beautiful restaurant in Georgetown. Restaurant Week lunch entrees very mediocre. Wait staff were surprisingly snooty and officious.

Dear Ms. Loriju, Thank you for joining us during Summer Restaurant Week, 2015. For the first time this year, we were excited to offer six entree items, which may have been a bit ambitious for the the hustle and bustle of restaurant week. I see that you live in the DC area and hope that you will give us another... More

Best menu we saw in USA, an Excellent Italian restaurant serving authentic Italian dishes superbly prepared with high quality ingredients in a lovely environment . It was so good we returned several days later and found it as good as the first time.  Generous serves - our Steaks and Lobster pasta were excellent, starters delicious burrato recommended highly. Every meal... More

The perfect place to organize either a business or a romantic dinner. The atmosphere is exceptional and the food is very fresh and refined! It is always nice to walk Georgetown and get a taste of a real authentic Italian food. I highly recommend the steak and fillet! It is delicious!!!

Total bill over $180 between three of us and put it this way, all three of us went away hungry and disappointed. Was told later that it was a venue where the Clintons go to eat...I know they're loaded, but they're being ripped off...had far superior Italian food in London...one of my companions ordered the ravioli and six measly pieces... We received very indifferent service ; at times we were rushed to make a decision or they spoke over us (I.e. in our request for the degree for our steaks) and later we were virtually ignored. The host paused for 10 seconds to ask if our entrees were acceptable and left before we had a chance to answer. The appetizer... More

This was my second visit to Cafe Milano. The staff was pleasant, however, we went through selecting 5 different bottles of wine and each time the waitress would come back and say they had run out. At one point we just asked, "Ok well what DO you have." She kept talking us into these great bottles and then coming back... More
