if you are in DC, you should try this very high-end Italian restaurant famed for its political heavyweights clientele. John Kerry was dining here last night when we went

Total bill over $180 between three of us and put it this way, all three of us went away hungry and disappointed. Was told later that it was a venue where the Clintons go to eat...I know they're loaded, but they're being ripped off...had far superior Italian food in London...one of my companions ordered the ravioli and six measly pieces... We received very indifferent service ; at times we were rushed to make a decision or they spoke over us (I.e. in our request for the degree for our steaks) and later we were virtually ignored. The host paused for 10 seconds to ask if our entrees were acceptable and left before we had a chance to answer. The appetizer... More

This was my second visit to Cafe Milano. The staff was pleasant, however, we went through selecting 5 different bottles of wine and each time the waitress would come back and say they had run out. At one point we just asked, "Ok well what DO you have." She kept talking us into these great bottles and then coming back... More

My partner and I stumbled across this restaurant on a walk through Georgetown. After being seated at the back of the restaurant and ordering a bottle of wine, my partner and I were asked for ID. (I had already told the waiter our ages and as a practising lawyer, am not used to having my integrity questioned. However, I obliged.)... More

Cafe Milano has always been known as an excellent place to eat, meet new people and take out of town friends for possible celebrity sightings! Franco the owner is often on premises to meet and greet long time patrons and celebrities. Cafe Milano never disappoints with the number of well known people that love great food and even better service!... More

The location and atmosphere are perfect, the prices are pretty high. The food was excellent, as was the wine, it would be nice if they offered a house wine, but we still enjoyed our dinner.

At least once a year I travel to DC and make an effort to dine at Cafe Milanos. This year we brought our granddaughter to DC and had a night out with my brother and his family. From the beginning it felt awkward, like we weren't worthy. No friendly greeting, and a waiter that could have cared less if we... More

A quick meal so did not get to sample everything. The rolls were so-so only. I ordered the rack of lamb and for the price I did not think that the serving was very large. The potato side was fine as was the vegetable. My friend ordered the pounded veal at $52 and did say it was good but I... More
