Sunday brunch was just fine and welcoming

Cafe Milano has a reputation in DC for being a place to be seen. IT's an old, established place, where celebrities -- political and entertainment -- seem to fulfill the need to be so they can say they were there. It has an air of casual elegance, and one never knows who one might see, but if your dinner is... More

If you are in Georgetown and have the desire to see how the best of DC live- this is it. Everything about it is chic. The manager Laurent is the best. I love the veal and the pizza. The wine list is great. I promise you will love it.

I visited Cafe Milano alone on a Friday night and was happy I could get a reservation ... the frigid weather likely helped. Food was great, service was attentive without being too intrusive -- which cab be a challenge when dining as a single -- and I enjoyed the evening. The only negative was the temperatures of the corner I... More

Dear BHP-Canada, We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience on Friday but only regret that you shivered through your excellent meal. We met dear friends for dinner at Cafe Milano two nights ago. We waited 50 minutes to be seated, despite having an 8:00 reservation. When we were finally seated, they placed us at a table for at least 10 - but we were only 6 people. We had to yell across the table and could not carry a conversation among... More

I would have marked this experience as average but have instead chosen poor because average is simply unacceptable for the prices being charged. I was at a large (8 people) business dinner and one of our diners received a plate of food that was so poorly prepared that it was virtually inedible and she had to send it back a... More

I walked by the restaurant, as the entrance is not that obvious. My friend frequents this restaurant and it was crowded on a Saturday night, as usual. It was crowded, but not impossible to wait a short time to get seats at the bar for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the selection of... More

We found the Cafe Milano purely by accident. We were walking around Georgetown and came upon it. We looked at the cafe next to it at first and the menu just wasn't what we were looking for. We walked next door and saw the bustling Cafe Milano. I was concerned because we weren't as formally dressed as I thought we... More

We were visiting Georgetown to visit a certain cupcake store. Since it was the day after Christmas it was very busy in the area and parking was difficult to find. We happened upon an underground parking lot below Cafe Milano. We would not have known about this restaurant otherwise. (Note: the height of the parking lot is very very low,... More

This Georgetown restaurant is truly one of the best Italian spots in D.C. At a recent lunch the risotto with truffles was perfection : creamy, rice al dente and a good helping of truffles. The fish ( orata) was also very well prepared and served, the service was friendly and attentive and the atmosphere classy and glamorous. Altogether definitely one... More
