The food and service was excellent. The cuisine was soul food without much of a greasy or overworked touch. The friend chicken was well done. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meal. The atmosphere was classy and the staff attentive.

My wife and I had little experience with southern food. Georgia Brown's was a great introduction with excellent food, friendly ( not overbearing) staff and a pleasant atmosphere. Had we been in DC longer, we would have certainly gone again. A must have on your DC dinning list!

Went in for lunchtime - staying at the St. Regis on the same block. My partner had the fried chicken salad; had the black-eyed cakes. The black eyed cakes were excellent; served with spinach and rice. Very good. There was no specific lunch menu, other than a three course at about $25. They might do more lunch business if they... Sunday Brunch I was in town for a conference, Had a late flight so on the recommendation of a colleague decided to try Georgia Browns. I was seated at nice table by the large windows overlooking the sidewalk. I travel quite a lot for work, so I always appreciate a nice table perfect for solo diners. The hostess explained the... I have visited Georgia Browns every year for at least the last 5 years and loved it until this trip. The aesthetics are gone! The band is LOUD and so table conversation is minimal. The waitress took a half hour to wait on our table. The decor had changed from warm treelike branches w lights to a ribbon like structure... More
