I chose this restaurant based on their pre fixed menu. There were a wide variety of choices for myself and my husband who eats no pork or red meat. The restaurant was extremely crowded, so I am glad I had a reservation. The music was a tad too loud which made conversation hard. While I enjoyed the song selection, I... More

Thursday night dinner. First trip to DC and made choice based on on-line reviews. Had a delicious meal. My pork chop with sides was very tasteful. Wife had shrimp and grits that were the best ever. Service was above average and got great value for the price. Definitely will go back when in the city.

Last night in Washington and didn't want another traditional restaurant. Did a little local research and found this place. Wow. What a joint. It was very busy but the lovely staff found us a table even though we didn't book. Had to try one of their cocktails to start - went for the Long Island (sweet iced tea) Iced tea.... More

A very unique dining experience. Traditional southern food expertly prepared and wonderful service. The atmosphere and decor was top-notch as well. Not inexpensive but not over the top either. Generous portions and everything was very tasty.

The food and service was wonderful. We made last minute reservations and were seated near the kitchen area. The area where we sat was a bit noisy but the Peach martini relieved me from the noise. The Fried chicken with mash potatoes were sinful and the sauté spinach was yummy! My sister had the collard greens and macaroni & cheese... More

We had a great lunch here - but it's a bit pricey. Bar was nice - and the staff was nice. A lot of food - we probably could have split a couple of entrees.

We had dinner here last week. This is a handsome restaurant with exceptionally good Carolina cooking. The bar is also excellent . I ordered the jambalaya and my wife had the fish of the day. Wait staff is very well trained and were helpful in helping us through the menu. Considering the prices here this is a good value for... More

The brunch buffet is worth because you get to take an entree home at $42 a pop - i think the omelet guy could have dome a better job - the shrimp, salmon, grits, deviled eggs and jambalaya were all fantastic - the carving station anf fresh waffles were a nice addition to brunch standards.
