Food not quite up to mediocre, service just plain bad, inside so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation. I must however give them credit for coming our entire meal when I complained to the hostess. But really, it shouldn't come to that, should it? Go somewhere else.

We ate here our first night and enjoyed the food. It is very loud inside though so hard to hold a conversation. My son and I had the buttermilk fried chicken and my husband had the fried meatloaf. The food was delicious, a bit pricey for the simple fare.

This was my first time dining at Georgia Brown's. Let me tell you that this was a great experience. I order the catfish fried with spinach and tomato base rice. We went on a Saturday afternoon with no reservations. We were seated right away by a nice hostess. Not long we were given our order to the waiter. The service... More

One of the guides from a tour we took told us to go and try it. The menu looks good. When you get your food, it looks good. But pretty much everything we tried lacked seasoning. The best thing we had was the Truffle mac n cheese appetizer. I had the country fried meatloaf for my entree. Everything could have... More

I've been here before but, sadly, the reputation continues to exceed the actual experience. I had the Amish roasted chicken with mac & cheese and coleslaw. The thick layer of BBQ sauce tasted like something from an average backyard cookout where the sauce masks any flavor from the actual roasting. The coleslaw was very wet, soupy, vinegary and plain yucky.... More

First time trying Georgia Brown's for happy hour and I was happy I did. They have a good mix of seafood and other meats. The only thing that they are missing are more vegetarian options. The drinks were pretty spot on and the ambiance was laid back. My husband and I ordered 2 dishes each and we were absolutely full.... More

We dined for a late lunch at GB's and were not disappointed. The waiter was great- informative, helpful and genuinely friendly. We had the sangria, catfish and devil shrimp- AMAZING! We wanted to stay longer just to listen the the music....

This spot was one of my targets in this vacation trip, I read a lot of them; music was really nice, the band is cool; but my expectations for quality of food and service was higher (due magazine reviews and prices....) We tried, deviled egg sampler, charleston crab soup; shrip and grits ; jabalayya and some cocktels the promote (the... More

My mum and I went to Georgia Browns for Sunday Jazz Brunch. A buffet (as much as you can eat) for Act A, an entree (locals take this away for their evening meal) for Act B, and a dessert buffet for Act C. all for $40! great value, and a lovely atmosphere. Really great jazz band too.

Nice restaurant, accomplished musicians but they are right on top of you in the dining room and you have to shout to hear your dinner companions. Food very tasty, mashed potatoes excellent, chicken very good. Gumbo a little off but the seafood stew was some of the best I've had even in the South. Waiter came back and advised the... More
