Great food, and a really buzzy atmosphere. We went on a Wednesday evening and picked up the regular jazz band. They were loud so if you want to talk you might like to ask for a table nearer the back. I thought the prices were pretty reasonable, given the quality and quantity of food. A wide choice of food is... More

Excellent service, unique drink options and fun riffs on southern food classics. Be sure to ask for a table served by Bob V, who has been welcoming patrons into this fine establishment for 21 years, since the beginning. You won't regret it.

A downtown place with downtown prices and basic Southern food without any particular flair or 'nouvelle' accoutrements (not that that would necessarily be a good thing). I found the sauces to be overly heavy though I did overall like the lamb there which was a surprise. Caesar salad was a miss. Wine list ok but servers not knowledgeable about it.

Georgia Brown's is one of my go to restaurants in DC. For starters that they have great food. The fried green tomatoes are a great starter dish and you can't go wrong with the fried chicken or pork chop for an entree. The fried chicken salad is a great lunch option. I had the bread pudding with house made caramel... More

The food here was quite tasty. However the service was a little off. The restaurant was busy but not overly crowded. Our drinks were slow to come out and the appetizer was forgotten.

This is the second time my husband and I dined here while in DC. We went once last year and again last month and it was good both times. Service was really good with the server being very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is warm and inviting; the decor is pleasant. Both times we went right after the lunch special... More

This is one of my favorite DC restaurants. We had a late lunch this time, and the service and housekeeping left a bit to be desired. I’m not sure if they just didn’t have time to clean up after the dinner rush, but the place seemed to be a bit messy. The waiter, while sweet, was totally inattentive. My husband... More

This restaurant was simply fantastic. The service was exceptional and the food was divine. There is a tendency to be intimidated by the choice when you go to eateries in the States, but here was different. Our waiter took the time to explain the choices and was extremely helpful and attentive. Then the food arrived, starting with a bread basket... More

This was my annual Southern Food Fix. Visited with colleagues while attending a professional meeting. We enjoyed everything: pinot noir for wine, lamb shank for entree, and shared some Southern desserts, including a delicious peach cobbler. The restaurant is very busy so make reservations. The service was great. I love the contemporary flair and decor!
