The wait person, Ann recommended that the salads and appetizers were large enough for two. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, which was a portion of six, the chef selection of salmon and a crab cake. My wife thought the crab cake was a bit bland although it was all lump crab. My salmon was excellent. The bread is nice... More

I am a fan of the chain and never leave disappointed. Last night at the DC location was no exception. I love the retro relish tray and crusty sourdough bread that comes as soon as you sit down. They make a mean old school martini that rocks! I moved on to the crab cocktail - it is giant chilled chunks... More

We loved this restaurant. We showed up without a reservation on a busy Friday night. They were able to accommodate us. Both the food and service was excellent. First the service: I noticed that they staggered the reservations to make sure that the wait staff was not over loaded. Our waiter knew the menu well and was quick with descriptions... More

I've been to Oceanaire a few times over the years, most recently for a private lunch event in the back. This review is for that event. Overall, that lunch fits with my general impression of Oceanaire: this restaurant is mainly for people on expense account, because I would never pay for Oceanaire with my own money. The green salad was... More

This is a must visit if you like seafood & fish. Really attentive service and very charming surroundings. I chose the fish which was cooked to perfection alongside several side dishes which were also delicious. Great espresso to finish and a quality bottle of French wine to accompany the meal. Faultless & highly recommended.

Best crab cakes and New England Clam Chowder with excellent variety of fish and preparations, and super sides. Great service too.

The atmosphere here is great whether I eat alone at the bar or for a business dinner. Service is always great. Crab cakes are very good (but TBH they used to better.) The menu has so much seafood to choose from.

I dined solo at the Seafood Bar later in the evening on a weeknight. The staff and service was excellent. The bartender recommended several choices from regional breweries (they had a nice, varied selection). As always, the restaurant offers a relish dish and warm sourdough bread. I ordered a shrimp cocktail (large shrimp, perfectly prepared with an excellent horseradish cocktail... More

The vibe was like a steak house with a fish fair. The menu was so good we all (party of 5 ) had a hard time deciding. I chose the signature crab cakes - pure crab, no fillers and the perfect amount of seasonings. It was tender and full of flavor - one of the best I’ve had. For a... More

This is a standard in DC and if you want great seafood give it a try. Seafood towers are amazing, Even has meat or surf and turf for those who don't want just seafood. All the classics done well, great wine list and fantastic service.
