I had the chance to eat dinner here with friends and it was a huge mistake. We were seated as soon as we arrived but off to the side as if we were second class people. The place was not busy and remained 1/2 full for our time here. The service started great until we asked for the oyster special.... More

We've been to Oceanaire several times now - always for special anniversaries/events. The food is great and the service is top-notch - for the most part these are professional waiters/waitresses - not somebody hoping to do something else soon. Between the ambience, the service and the food this is a 5 star location!

Loved it all...Drinks (Bloody Mary) and appetizers (Fried Asparagus and Crab Cake). Huge selection. Sort of pricey but it is DC!

WOW! This place is awesome! We enjoyed an early dinner on a week night. Eric made our evening perfect with excellent suggestions from the menu! Compliments to Chef for outstanding grilled halibut, creamed corn with a most creative touch of nutmeg and on and on! This is a must when you visit DC! Well done all! ;))) YUM!!!

First, ask for a table served by Hayward, the best waiter in the house. My wife had scallops on a bed of risotto, and I had an Australian fish called barramundi topped with crab meat. Both were delicious and the portions were huge! Before that, was clam chowder which was delicious and the lettuce wedge with blue cheese was like... More

The wife and I went here for our anniversary while in DC. The food was excellant! I had the CAROLINA SWORDFISH “DYNAMITE” which was off the chart good. When the waiter found out it was our anniversary they had a "surprise" for us, baked Alaska! The presentation was a site to behold. The taste was the best I had ever... More

Ate there with my husband and the food and service was great! The tequila shrimp ceviche and lobster mac and cheese were excellent. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the wine was a perfect. Will definitely be going back during our next visit.

I like Oceanaire, but not nearly as much as I did when they they were indpendent/ Landry's ownership has not impressed. I go there frequently for business and was disappointed on this last visit. But what I was disappointed about was not the food. My client ordered a glass of whire wine. The server asked what kind. Sauvignon Blanc. Of... More

We had the opportunity to spend the weekend in DC and we found Oceanaire as we were walking around and saw the menu and decided to give it a try. The menu was very extensive and had a great array of choices for dinner. Not much in regard to non-seafood fare, but this is primarily a seafood place. The wine... More

The quotes painted on the walls say it all "snot coloured sea" and "scrotum tingling salty sea" call me a whimp but those are not images I associate with fine dining. Yuk to the worst fish cakes i have ever had and only an ok to moderate moules.
