Fabulous food from appetizers to entree. We had the Chef's selection of raw oysters which were delicious. Scallops were quite tasty as were the potatoes au gratin. Service was great. Seating is a bit crowded but arranged so the atmosphere is not noisy. Food and service come with a price tag but well worth it!

We made a last minute decision to celebrate an anniversary and were fortunate to obtain a reservation. The ambiance was very good, the service sublime and the food well prepared. A complimentary dessert topped off a very enjoyable visit.

Went to this restaurant for dinner on Saturday 16th May with one from Spain two from Italy and one from UK. The wine was overpriced, the food was average with fish overcooked and service arrogant. We calculated a gratuity of 12.5% which was more than appropriate for the experience and it met as is so often in Washington DC with... More

Food was great, place was beautiful, i highly recommend! I had the scallops, shrimp, and crab cakes and wish that a restaurant here in Michigan had seafood even half as good! I recommend getting coffee and dessert as well! Have your hotel consierre make your reservations and dessert might be free! I suggest dressing up. I wore really nice shirt... More

Attractive restaurant with nice service but lousy food may await you. I had lunch there yesterday and ordered a seafood salad, which was so unattractive that I would have been ashamed to have thrown it together for my own lunch at home. Plus it was made with chopped up ice burg lettuce. Topping this the shrimp were overcooked. Overpriced for... More

Pro's: Great food, service and atmosphere. This place is located about a 15 min. slow walk away from The White House and all of the sites. Con's: No Valet parking during Lunch. :(

Having had good experiences with Oceanaire in other cities, we tried the DC location for the first time on Saturday and were not disappointed. The DC location is convenient to the Convention Center and Verizon Center, and is large with a nice wood decor and various curves that help keep the room from seeming too large. We started our meal... More

Travel to DC annually and I always missed getting to eat at this place but not this year and it did not disappoint. Very professional and friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Food was very good. I had the halibut steak that was served in a lemon butter sauce--delicious. The sides are served family style. One of our group loved the hash... More

I've had many $100/person meals and this was the least impressive, least value/dollar meal I've ever had. To make matters worse, I was with business colleagues, so the meal was not only disappointing, but embarrassing as well. For starters, there was the shameless up-selling at every turn: "are you certain you wouldn't like to add the ------to your order?" The... More
