Authenticated Lebanese FOOD with great ambiance and service

Very delicious authenticate Lebanese food. The ambiance was awesome and serving was fast though. Near to zoo, so must try if you are vising the Smithsonian Zoo.

Close to a large conference hotel, so I stumbled in here almost by accident. The food was great and not expensive. I sat at the bar and the staff was attentive. I would definitely eat here again

While in the Woodley Park neighborhood in Washington, DC we had the opportunity to visit the Lebanese Taverna twice for dinner and were quite pleased. For a small restaurant chain the quality holds strong across the venues. The Lebanese Taverna is a beautiful space with high ceilings, faux stone and polished wood walls and soft lighting. Dining in the back... More

The food is just amazing. I really enjoy the hummus and the lamb. The sampler plate is a good way to get a little of several things. The kabbobs are also out of this world. Just go eat here.

Our experience here has been consistent and excellent at each visit. The decor, which is new since our last visit is elegant and must have cost a fortune. Tonight we both chose the Chef's Platter (mezza). Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. At $14 it is a wonderful and filling meal. Check out their happy hour (4-7). They have a... We had planned to try The Afghan Grill, but they were unexpectedly closed. Found this around the corner. We are not experts on the authenticity of this type of food, but we can say, unreservedly (including my kids, ages 9 and 11) that this is an absolutely delicious place. We arrived at 3:15pm (after being at the zoo) so we... More

Go early because it gets busy fast. Located near the Omni Shoreham, it attracts a lot of conference attenders as well as neighborhood folk. The food and service is excellent. I had the lamb shank which was done to perfection!

This place is directly across the street from the Marriott and is a great choice if you are running late but staying at the hotel. Lots of good choices that are grilled and flavorful. Rather pricey for relatively small portions but still a better deal than staying at the Marriott. Great for groups too.

Crowded and so I sat at the bar. Tabbouleh Salad was very good, the way I like it with more parsley and less bulgar wheat. Decent wine list. Tasty lentil soup. I like this place.
