I really enjoyed Labanese Taverna. The drinks were great. I especially recommend the pomegranate mojito. They have great mezzo platters for starters and sharing and a good variety of tasty middle eastern foods that will certainly please everyone in your party. The service is also worth noting. Despite being really busy and my party being very slow to order, the... More

Ordered the chef mezze, and yes: all the typical Middle Eastern bites were there, and absolutely great. Hoummous, babaganoush, falafel, shakshouka, tehina, dolmades,... Everything tasted very fresh and well seasoned. Recommended dinner option for the more northern part of DC. Place was crowded, so I guess they are popular among the locals as well.

Went there on a friend's recommendation and we loved the food. Everything seemed fresh and well prepared. Don't miss the Lebanese donuts!

Walked past on the way to the zoo and it looked pretty good so we decided to pop in on the way back to the Metro. Oh wow I am so pleased we did. The food was outstanding. I love Mediterranean food but having only previously tried Turkish and Greek I couldn't wait to try Lebanese and it was an... More

Loved the lentil soup (it has a nice little kick to it, I think thanks to the cilantro and lemon), and the falafel was not only delicious but also attractively presented. I can't complain about the exotic lanterns and delightful terroir of the Lebanese wine (I highly recommend the Ksara from the Bekaa Valley, which you can also say to... More

Great place to go if you are looking for something beyond the typical burger, steak or pasta. Service was great and they take reservations. It is located right across from the metro so it's pretty easy to get to/from. Watch out for the bread they bring before you know it you are filled up and out of room for the... More

Recently I was in Washington, D.C. for work. I came in on the train and then used the Metrorail only. So I needed places that were gluten free, safe for a celiac AND near a Metro stop! One option was Lebanese Taverna. The one I went to was right across from Woodley Park Metro Stop, so also nearby the National... More

I have eaten here many times over the years and always find the food and the service to be terrific. This trip was no exception. This time, we tried the sample platters and recommend that if you are undecided. Great service, too. The location is right off the Metro at Woodley Park and worth the trip. The bread pudding was... My kids were interested in trying something new so we picked this place after our morning at the zoo. The staff was helpful in making recommendations and everyone enjoyed their meal. The hummus sampler was fun for the tweens. They can order a more basic meal like shrimp skewers or flatbread sandwich while adults can enjoy some genuine Lebanese.

....and palate pleasure too. No pickup at this place, only delivery. Found it through a food delivery site, and loved all the dishes we ordered.
