My family and I went here for lunch after the zoo. From the outside it doesn't look like much but when you walk in wow is it a pretty place. It was a little confusing with multiple people stopping by our table to check on us, 3 different people, and to take our food order, appetizer and drink order. The... More

This restaurant is pretty upscale compared to the typical middle eastern restaurant. It has a full bar with great drink specials. The lamb dish I ordered was simply outstanding - very tender!

Ordered the Taverna platter and there was a misunderstanding about what it came with, it was willingly replaced by the restaurant. The chicken flatbread sandwich tasted like someone grilled a chicken breast then cut up into small pieces. Falafel was good.

This was a great surprise on Connecticut Ave. close to the Omni Shoreham. On a street crowded with small restaurants like storefronts, you walk in to this high-ceiling-ed, modem, expansive architecture and go Wow! We tried a sampler platter and then each had a shrimp and vegetable with couscous entree which were generously portioned but not overly expensive. I think... More

Very nice restaurant, large and airy, friendly staff. The drinks service was a little slow but the food was very tasty, well cooked and reasonable portions for the price. This is the more upscale version of your normal family run Lebanese restaurant but good nonetheless.

We ate here 3 times because the food was not only very good, but the prices were just right for a quick lunch, and quick walk from the Omni Shoreham hotel. We tried the fish, salads, soups....and all were wonderful. Once we had a salad each and split the vegetarian plate of appetizers that had at least 9 different items... More

Visited twice on a recent DC visit. The food here is quite good and not as expensive as many other similar spots. The ambiance is fantastic, a beautiful space. The hummus is exceptional, as are the braised lamb fatteh and chicken kebab. Didn't enjoy the pumpkin kibbeh, or the kuenefe dessert as much.

We visited the Lebanese Taverna while a number of conferences were going on in nearby hotels, so it was busy, busy, busy. Without a reservation we were given a 30 minute waiting time. My friend was ravished, so luckily it was shorter than that. We decided to share the two tasting platters offered on the menu, probably thinking that this... More
